  • Patent number: 10104558
Abstract: Certain features relate to systems and methods for jointly optimizing a radio access network (RAN) and distributed antenna system (DAS). A joint RAN-DAS self-optimizing network (SON) entity can determine target parameters based on parameters specific to the DAS and parameters specific to the RAN. • Patent number: 10070276
Abstract: A method performs radio communication between a controller and a transport user. A controller creates voice signals which are transmitted via a switching system to a transmitting antenna as a radio signal. The voice signals are received via a receiving antenna and are transmitted to the switching system. A squelch signal is created and indicates whether the signal applied to the receiving antenna contains voice messages. A component of the voice signal emitted by the controller and is received with a time delay, is removed from the received voice signal or is compensated for, and a corrected voice signal is determined. The corrected voice signal is transmitted to the controller, if the squelch signal is present, the signal which is emitted by the controller and does not reach the switching system with a time delay is superimposed on the corrected voice signal and the latter is transmitted to the controller.

  • Patent number: 10057860
Abstract: A link-budget-limited wireless communication device (UE) may implement improved radio link monitoring procedures for enhancing the link-budget of the UE. The UE may monitor the radio link and may determine whether the radio link can support a lowest acceptable link quality according to a hysteresis-based comparison that uses threshold values to determine error rates associated with a physical control channel. The UE may also identify itself to the network as a link-budget-limited device, and the network may enable special link-budget enhancing features for the UE, including boosting the power of the resource elements (REs) carrying physical channel signaling/data to the UE. The UE may detect the presence of power boost and may estimate/determine the power boost level.
