  • Patent number: 9866659
Abstract: A waterproof presskey structure includes a shell, a button or presskey, and an elastic element. The elastic element and the shell can be assembled together with gum, the presskey is movably assembled to the shell and matches with the elastic element. The elastic element comprises a tubular structure having an elastic wall. The elastic wall is arched, and the elastic wall projects out towards within the tubular structure. For the arched elastic wall stretches under pressure from the button or presskey, an assembly of the elastic element and other parts is not affected, the elastic element cannot be separated from the shell due to the gum failing, and water resistance between the presskey and the shell is increased.

  • Patent number: 9867190
Abstract: A method for improving LTE connectivity in known trouble areas is disclosed. The method includes receiving, at an eNodeB, a communication message from a mobile device and determining a first timing advance (TA) information associated with the communication message received from the mobile device. Based on the first TA information it is determined if the mobile device is located in an area susceptible to a communication failure. Upon determining that the mobile device is located in the area susceptible to the communication failure, messages are temporality transmitted from the eNodeB to the mobile device at an increased power level.

  • Patent number: 9860000
Abstract: Small changes in a broadcast version of a base media item can be identified by performing a multi-level comparison of digital fingerprints. A fingerprint of a base media item is compared to a fingerprint of a media broadcast to determine whether a media item embedded in a broadcast is likely, to a first level of certainty, to be the base media item. A second, more stringent, match between the fingerprint of the base media item and loosely matched items can be used to identify potentially-altered versions of the base media item. Potentially-altered versions can be compared against each other, and resulting matches are flagged as altered base media items, which can be fingerprinted and tested against broadcast fingerprints in the same manner as the base media item.

  • Patent number: 9831962
Abstract: An audio/video (A/V) hub that determines an environment of a portable electronic device is described. In particular, the A/V hub may identify the environment based on performance information about communication between the portable electronic device and receiver devices (which was received from the receiver devices), and a history of behavior of an individual associated with the portable electronic device and the A/V hub. Alternatively, the A/V hub may identify the environment based on performance information about communication between the portable electronic device and the A/V hub and the portable electronic device and another A/V hub (which was received from the portable electronic device and/or the other A/V hub), and a history of behavior of an individual associated with the portable electronic device and the A/V hub. Based on the determination, the A/V hub provides an instruction to power on an A/V display device in the environment.

  • Patent number: 9820172
Abstract: Certain features relate to systems and methods for jointly optimizing a radio access network (RAN) and distributed antenna system (DAS). A joint RAN-DAS self-optimizing network (SON) entity can determine target parameters based on parameters specific to the DAS and parameters specific to the RAN. The joint RAN-DAS-SON entity can optimize the RAN and DAS using the target parameters. Jointly optimizing the RAN and the DAS can improve the capacity characteristics, coverage characteristics, or the performance characteristics of the RAN and DAS. In some aspects, the joint RAN-DAS-SON entity can optimize the RAN and DAS by re-allocating power levels of downlink signals transmitted by remote units of the DAS to compensate for underutilized carrier signals in situations of low traffic load.

  • Patent number: 9819376
Abstract: A method, communication device, and computer program product mitigates Specific Absorption Rating (SAR) exposure to a user who is proximate to a communication device. The method includes an on-device measurement receiver of the communication device detecting a first signal corresponding to transmit signals that are reflected by a first antenna. The method includes a controller determining, based on the first signal a first set of values for a power efficiency parameter. The method includes the controller determining whether both the first value and the second value differ from respective baseline values by respective Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) threshold amounts. In response to the controller determining that both the first and second values differ by the respective SAR threshold amounts, the controller adjusts the power delivered to the first antenna.
