  • Patent number: 9954628
Abstract: An audio/video (A/V) hub that determines an environment of a portable electronic device is described. In particular, the A/V hub may identify the environment based on performance information about communication between the portable electronic device and receiver devices (which was received from the receiver devices), and a history of behavior of an individual associated with the portable electronic device and the A/V hub. Alternatively, the A/V hub may identify the environment based on performance information about communication between the portable electronic device and the A/V hub and the portable electronic device and another A/V hub (which was received from the portable electronic device and/or the other A/V hub), and a history of behavior of an individual associated with the portable electronic device and the A/V hub. Based on the determination, the A/V hub provides an instruction to power on an A/V display device in the environment.

  • Patent number: 9936360
Abstract: An evidentiary electronic processor receives identifying data associated with respective ones of a plurality of communication devices associated with an incident. The evidentiary electronic processor determines an assignment status of each communication device using the respective identifying data. The assignment status indicates that a communication device is one of assigned to the incident, unassigned to the incident and associated with a first profile that is relevant to the incident, or unassigned to the incident and associated with a second profile that is irrelevant to the incident. The evidentiary electronic processor receives sensor data associated with the incident from a sending communication device out of the plurality of communication devices. The evidentiary electronic processor processes the sensor data based on a respective assignment status associated with the sending communication device.

  • Patent number: 9907031
Abstract: At a base station, a table is prepared that for each index value among multiple different index values, associates repetition counts of different channels correlated with each other. The base station acquires reception information indicating a reception state of a wireless signal at a mobile station, determines a repetition count for each channel based on the reception information, and acquires from the table, an index value corresponding to the respective repetition counts for the channels. The base station transmits to the mobile station, a wireless signal that includes the index value to notify the mobile station of the index value. The mobile station has a table that for each index value among different index values, associates repetition counts of different channels correlated with each other and acquires the repetition counts of the channels from the table, based on the index value from the base station.

  • Patent number: 9900080
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments may help an aerial vehicle network to provide substantially continuous service in a given geographic area. An example method may be carried out at an aerial vehicle that is at a location associated with the first geographic area in an aerial network that includes a plurality of geographic areas. The balloon may determine that it should update its vehicle-state in accordance with a vehicle-state profile for the first geographic area. Then, in response, the balloon may determine the vehicle-state profile for the first geographic area, which may include one or more state parameters for balloons operating in the first geographic area. The balloon may then operate according to the vehicle-state profile for the first geographic area.

  • Patent number: 9894623
Abstract: Aspects and features are directed to an uplink integrity detection sub-system. In one aspect, a distributed antenna system is provided that includes a remote antenna unit that communicates with wireless devices in a coverage area, additional remote antenna units that communicate with wireless devices in additional coverage areas, and a unit that communicates with the remote antenna unit and the additional remote antenna units. The unit includes a distributed antenna system controller. The distributed antenna system controller can determine that an undesirable signal component having a power level exceeding a threshold power is communicated via an uplink path from the remote antenna unit. The distributed antenna system controller can also minimize an impact of the undesirable signal component on the additional coverage areas of the additional remote antenna units. Minimizing the impact can include modifying the gain of the uplink path over which the undesirable signal component is communicated.
