  • Patent number: 4640288
Abstract: An adhesive pad is disclosed herein for use on human body, particularly suitable for women's use as a nipple cover or protector for afflicted portions such as the heel suffering shoe sore. The adhesive pad comprises a flexible sheet of diaphanous plastic material and an adhesive coating formed on the periphery of the underside of the sheet so as to define inside thereof a non-adhesive and translucent area which is in adhesive-free covering contact with a particular portion on the body to be protected. Accordingly, the portion of the body can be seen through the adhesive pad so that the pad itself can be undiscerned to present natural appearance of the body as protecting the portion that portion from being rubbed or injured.

  • Patent number: 4638513
Abstract: An improved strap adapted to be worn adjacent the skin is made up of an elastic ribbon having flexibility in the longitudinal direction and limited lateral flexibility. A soft padding covers the elastic ribbon, and a smooth-faced material outer covering encloses both. The components of the strap are attached along the longitudinal edges of the strap to form a smooth-faced material surface with undulations (wrinkles) permitting limited longitudinal stretching of the elastic strap to produce a smooth strap surface during wear. The elasticized strap material makes up a major portion of the strap which, preferably, also includes non-elasticized end portions for attachment to garments, clips, etc.

  • Patent number: 4631752
Abstract: A low cost single layer disposable shield for preventing soiling of the underarm portions of a garment comprising a thin coated circular sheet having a moisture absorbing side, an opposite moisture repellant side and an adhesive means on the repellant side for attaching the circular sheet to the underarm portion of a garment. The sheet is made from a coarse open fiber moisture absorbent paper material which is coated on one side with a moisture repellant material. Applied onto the adhesive means is a peelable paper which is divided into three contiguous segments along a pair of parallel chordal boundaries of the adjoining segments. An embossed crease extends across the center of the shield and divides the shield into equal parts. When the shield is placed into service the outer segments of the three peelable segments are first removed. Thereafter the shield is folded about the embossed crease and the exposed portions of the adhesive means are pressed against the underarm portion of the garment.
