The user interface component may have a default visual presentation. A branding override may be selected from a plurality of available branding overrides. The branding override may define a modification to the default visual presentation of the user interface component. The branding override may be selected based on one or more contextual variables associated with the request for the user interface component. The user interface component may be modified in accordance with the selected branding override. The user interface component may be displayed on a display device.

Abstract: The present invention relates to systems and methods for selective rendering of display components in a web browser. In an embodiment, a system for providing tabbed views at a browser includes a plurality of tabs and at least one renderer for each tab in the plurality of tabs that receives an identifier (for example, but not limited to, a URL) of content visited by the browser. The renderer then selectively renders a user interaction cluster and a content area corresponding to the identifier depending on whether the respective tab is newly instantiated.

A request for a connection to a personal web space of another user to be visited by a user possessing a personal web space is made. When the connection request is identified, a new community space is generated by connecting the personal web spaces of the users to each other. Abstract: Described herein is an in-text advertising display that presents web advertisements contextually related to retrieved web content about text on a web page. The text of a web page is analyzed to determine whether terms or phrases are associated with particular contextual definitions called entities. Portions of text associated with an entity are emphasized to the user. Detection of a user trigger event initiates retrieval of additional web content about the emphasized text and the retrieved additional content is displayed in a display window, within a pop-up advertisement, or within a quickbar window. An adjacent seamless window displaying web advertisements related to the additional web content is also presented to the user.

Abstract: A method and mobile computing device for sharing a calendar database stored at a second computing device, are provided. The mobile computing device comprises a processer and, interconnected thereto, a memory and a photo acquisition module. An image of a graphical indicator of the calendar database is acquired at the mobile computing device. The image of the graphical indicator is processed, at the processor, to extract an identifier of the calendar database to access the calendar database and store at least a portion of the calendar database in the memory.
