Abstract: A system and method for monitoring devices such as servers in one or more data centers. In one embodiment of the method a first graphical user interface is displayed on a computer system such as a desktop computer system. The first graphical user interface may include first and second graphical elements corresponding to first and second system racks, respectively, within a data center. The first system rack may include a plurality of computer systems such as servers. The second system rack may also include a plurality of computer systems such as servers. The first graphical element may include first visual information identifying a location of the first system rack on a floor within the data center, and the second graphical element may include second visual information identifying a location of the second system rack on the floor within the data center.

Abstract: Systems and methods to select media content are provided. A method includes dynamically selecting content items for presentation via a media player based on user media selection settings. The user media selection settings specify a proportion of a first category of media content to be presented and a proportion of at least one second category of media content to be presented. The at least one second category includes a user defined category. First media content is associated with the first category based on an intrinsic property of the first media content and second media content is associated with the user defined category based on a property that is not intrinsic to the second media content. The method also includes generating an output stream presenting the dynamically selected content items.

Abstract: A tile bar for use in association with a graphical user interface associated with at least one operating system is disclosed. The tile bar includes a plurality of tiles indicative of one or more of an application, a file, a window, a data, and an outcome, an identifying tile among the plurality of tiles, wherein the identifying tile is uniquely indicative of at least one of a user preference and user information of a user logged in to the graphical user interface, and wherein the identifying tile is adjacent to at least one tile of the plurality of tiles, and a scroll for presenting ones of the plurality of tiles not immediately viewable to the user. Abstract: Tools and techniques for online customer service via website navigation intervention are described herein. Methods provided by these tools may include monitoring activities of a user who is interacting with a website while utilizing a user device. These activities may indicate that the user would benefit from assistance while interacting with the website, and the tools may accordingly formulate data representing an offer of assistance to the user. In some instances, the user device may send a request for assistance to a customer service system, and may surrender control of the user device to the customer service system. The user device may receive assistance from the customer service system, and afterwards, regain control of the device when the assistance is completed.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to an application management framework for web applications that may provide speed improvements, capability improvements, user experience improvements, increased advertising profit opportunities, and simplified application development to wide range of network devices. The described embodiments may employ techniques for containing, controlling, and presenting multiple web-based applications in a shared web browser application management framework. Sharing a web browser application management framework provides the capability for rapidly switching between applications, allows for multitasking, facilitates using a common set of input controls for applications, and makes it possible for applications to be available with little perceived startup (“boot”) time. The described embodiments also provide incentives for web application users, web application developers, web application portal providers, and web advertising providers to share in transactions between one another.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to content resizing and caching in multi-process browser architecture. An embodiment includes initiating a rendering engine process and a browser process, receiving a request to resize content, providing the request to the rendering engine process, waiting to allow the rendering engine process to render an updated bitmap associated with the content and displaying the updated bitmap synchronously if the updated bitmap is produced during the waiting step. Another embodiment includes, receiving an input associated with the status of a tab, determining if the tab is a background tab or a foreground tab based on the receiving step, checking a cache for a bitmap of content associated with the tab if the tab has changed status to a foreground tab, and displaying the contents of the cache in the tab if the cache includes the bitmap of content previously associated with the tab.

Abstract: Methods to match certain context of commands directed to a network technology or a network design from configuration files and a user interface to display these results. A language with the simple syntax similar to the human language is provided. The language includes rules to define the parameter and syntax for the parameter operations and also standard functions to parse commands. A script file can be conveniently written in this language to filter the desired contexts from a configuration file. In the exemplary embodiment, the system translates the script file to an executable standard Perl programming and Perl programming is run with the configuration file as the input. The result is displayed in the graphic user interface, which is designed to work with an interactive network topology map.

Abstract: A visualization service generates a graphical representation or visualization of each user's behavior within a network resource, such as a website. In one example, the visualization service provides a dynamic visualization of each user accessing the network resource. Each user is graphically represented in the visualization with an indicium, such as a point or dot. The visualization (and thus, the position of each indicium representing a user) is dynamically updated as each user accesses data files from the network resource and thus, moves from state to state (or page to page) over time. The effect is similar to watching cars move along a complex highway system.

Abstract: A method for sorting menu options in a program menu of an electronic device creates an order parameter, a basic count parameter, and a carry count parameter to each menu option. Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product are provided for recommending web content to a user. In one embodiment, a user is directed to a page of a website, the page including links to a plurality of subpages. Additionally, a number of visits by the user directed from the page to each of the subpages are tracked. Further, one of the subpages with a highest number of visits is designated as a new entry page for the user. Moreover, the user is automatically redirected to the new entry page during subsequent visits by the user to the website.
