Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention includes a technique to provide multiple focus controls. First and second focus managers manage first and second focus owners, respectively. The first and second focus owners correspond to components of media planes displayable on at least one of a plurality of output display devices. The first and second focus managers associate first and second key events generated by first and second input devices, respectively, to the respective first and second focus owners. A router has a routing table that stores information of association between first and second connections and the first and second focus managers, respectively. The router routes one of the first and second key events originating from the respective connection to a corresponding focus manager using the routing table.

Abstract: Many users may plan meetings through social networks, email, and/or websites. As provided herein, a user may efficiently plan a meeting with other users through a map interface. For example, the user may identify a location of interest on a map, and choose one or more target users to receive an automatically generated location of interest message about meeting at the location of interest. The location of interest message may comprise text describing the location of interest (e.g., I am at the back table at the Steak Grill, I am near the library sign on the corner of West St. and East St., etc.), directions to an event at the location of interest, instructions about the event, a location of the event, a time of the event, etc.

Abstract: A first data visualization based on first and second sets of data items is provided on a first dashboard. A second data visualization based on third and fourth sets of data items is provided on a second dashboard. Each data item of the first and third sets has at least a first tag. Each data item of the second and fourth sets does not have the first tag. A selection of the first tag is received. In response to the selection, a third data visualization based on the first set of data items and not based on the second set of data items is provided in place of the first data visualization and a fourth data visualization based on the third set of data items and not based on the fourth set of data items is provided in place of the second data visualization.

Abstract: The disclosed subject matter relates to a method for managing display of a window. In certain aspects, the method includes presenting a window in a display area, wherein the window comprises a control icon, receiving a first input indicating a selection of the control icon and presenting a plurality of selectable options associated with the control icon, wherein each of the plurality of selectable options correspond with one of a left direction or a right direction. In certain aspects, the method further includes receiving a second input indicating a selection of a first one of the plurality of selectable options and adjusting a size of the window in response to the second input based on a direction associated with the first one of the plurality of selectable options. Abstract: Systems and computer-implemented methods for microscope-based learning including providing a first menu on a GUI to allow a user to identify or view a cell category of interest on a digital slide image that is simultaneously displayed with the first menu on the GUI. The systems and methods further include providing a navigation system on the GUI to allow the user to navigate the digital slide image and select proportional x and y coordinates on the digital slide image. A second menu is also provided on the GUI to allow the user to identify a cell type for the selected proportional x and y coordinates. The systems and methods are capable of automatically determining if the cell type identified by the user matches a predetermined cell type within the x and y coordinates from a database. The systems and methods further indicate whether the identified cell type matches the predetermined cell type on the GUI and display a summary of the total matches on the GUI.

The layout of such tabular object comprises rows and columns, and may have a structure that includes plural sets of dual columns, each set representing pairs of related data (e.g. property value pairs). The size and portion of the tabular object in view at any particular time are determined by the user's sizing and scrolling behavior. The assignment of object data (e.g., property value pairs) to the resulting cells in that tabular object takes place dynamically according to the size and portion of the tabular object being displayed at any particular time in a manner that optimizes the use of available space.

Among other things, embodiments of the present disclosure help provide users with concise articles containing the best content from a variety of sources, and present such content in a task-oriented manner that is finite and incentivizes the user to review the content.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and techniques for adding extensions to legacy tasks as part of modernizing such tasks are provided. A user can add dynamically add task extensions to an individual legacy task by configuring them, even while a task is running. Role extensions can be added to a home desktop of a role through configuration parameters. Task extensions can be made accessible to users through UI controls added as part of the modernization procedure when a legacy task data stream is received from a host computing system. Example embodiments provide a Role-Based Modernization System (“RBMS”), which uses these enhanced modernization techniques to provide role-based modernization of menu-based legacy applications.

Multiple interactive areas may be created by partitioning an area proximate a display into multiple volumetric spaces or zones. The zones may be associated with respective user interaction capabilities. A representation of a user on the display may change as the ability of the user to interact with one or more virtual object changes.
