Abstract: A method and apparatus for conversational mapping of web items for mediated group decisions is disclosed. In one embodiment of the method, a web server delivers a web page that comprises a hyperlink and identities of one or more products that were selected at an E-commerce website by an online shopper via a web browser. In response to activation of the hyperlink by the online shopper via the web browser, product information for the one or more products is transferred in a transaction message to a decision-support system via a network. The decision-support system sends some or all of the product information to one or more user devices. The decision-support system subsequently receives review information related to the one or more products from the one or more user devices via a messaging service. The decision-support system processes the product review information to generate a result, and the decision-support system sends the result to another user device for display thereon via the messaging service.

Abstract: Computer-readable media, methods, and systems for generating a collaboration hub for display within a graphical user interface of a group-based communication system. The collaboration hub comprises a list of recommended active users, a list of recommended active synchronous multimedia collaboration sessions, and a feed of recommended asynchronous collaboration threads such that relevant activity within the group-based communication system is viewable and accessible to users of the group-based communication system.

Abstract: Systems and methods herein assist users by identifying actionable tasks in an email and providing reminders and other tracking mechanisms for those tasks. For example, a method can include extracting a portion of the email and assigning a number to each word of the extracted portion of the email according to a library. The method can further include determining, based on the assigned numbers, whether the extracted portion of the email includes at least one actionable portion. In response to determining that the extracted portion of the email includes at least one actionable portion, at least one actionable portion can be presented to the user on a GUI associated with the user's device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for a responsive user interface. One of the methods includes receiving a page, the page including panels, each panel having an equivalent predetermined size. The method includes receiving a layout for the page, the layout defining a predefined hierarchy of panel groups that defines a visual relationship between the panel groups. The method includes selecting panels to include in a slide based on characteristics of the user device and the panel groups. The method includes determining a scaled size for each panel in the selected panels based on a relative weighting of the panel groups. The method includes resizing a panel in the set of panels based on the scaled size. The method includes generating the slide using the set of panels including the resized panel. The method includes sending the slide to the user device.

Abstract: Techniques are described for presenting application variations on a user interface. In an example, the techniques include associating computer applications with an application group, the computer applications being different variations of a same computer program. The techniques further include generating a user interface (UI) element that represents the application group. The techniques further include selecting a first computer application of the computer applications to indicate in association with the UI element. The techniques further include presenting the UI element on a user interface, the UI element indicating the application group and the first computer application, the UI element configured to, upon selection via the user interface, launch the first computer application or launch a page about the application group.

Abstract: Video features encourage and ensure that survey videos are viewed in full. The survey answer block and video rewind, forward fast and mute are disabled during the video presentation. With the user's permission, telephone calls, text messaging and browsing may also be disabled during the video. Interactive responses may be required at various points in the video to ensure that the viewer is paying attention. The viewer's image may be recorded or eye gaze may be tracked while viewing the video. Candidates may be qualified for viewing videos and selected in a priority order by meeting certain demographic conditions, having certain topics of interest identified in their social media profiles, agreeing to post-video direct contact, and having participated in prior video surveys. Potential candidates may be qualified by answering qualifying questions, viewing a teaser video, or responding to a prompt asking them to opt-in to the video survey.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating one or more user interfaces for onboarding a merchant for use of services of a commerce platform system are described. The method may include transmitting, from a merchant system to a commerce platform system, a request for creating a merchant account that onboards the merchant for use of services provided by the commerce platform system. The method may also include in response to executing an onboarding user interface received from the commerce platform, establishing a merchant context for the merchant account in a memory of the merchant system, wherein the merchant context stores a local copy of merchant account data for the merchant account.

Abstract: In various embodiments, a voice command is associated with a plurality of processing steps to be performed. The plurality of processing steps may include analysis of audio data using automatic speech recognition, generating and selecting a search query from the utterance text, and conducting a search of database of items using a search query. The plurality of processing steps may include additional or different steps, depending on the type of the request. In performing one or more of these processing steps, an error or ambiguity may be detected. An error or ambiguity may either halt the processing step or create more than one path of actions. A model may be used to determine if and how to request additional user input to attempt to resolve the error or ambiguity. The voice-enabled device or a second client device is then causing to output a request for the additional user input.

The agreement can include a specification with instructions for assuring the user interaction. The application can pass the agreement to an assured module installed in the application. The assured module can present the agreement to a user in an interface. The assured module can receive user input indicating acceptance or rejection of the agreement. The assured module can generate a confirmation file that confirms the user interaction. The assured module can sign the confirmation file with a digital signature that can be used by other entities to verify the authenticity of the confirmation file.

Abstract: Systems and methods for control of application actions using a modification trigger to visually modify an electronic document are disclosed. A computing device, such as a mobile computing device having a touchscreen display, can display an electronic document having a first portion and a second portion. Initially upon displaying the electronic document, the computing device displays the first portion and the second portion may lie out of view, not displayed. A user can swipe along a scroll direction, causing the second portion to be displayed. The second portion can include or otherwise be associated with a modification trigger. Upon receiving a gesture on the second portion, the modification trigger performs actions, including, for example, subscribing to a series of electronic documents and minimizing the visual display of the electronic document.
