Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for managing the drawing of graphical objects are disclosed. An example apparatus includes an interface configured to receive at least one gesture from a user in relation to a client device. The apparatus also includes a coordinate detector configured to determine a coordinate-plane for the at least one gesture and determine coordinates of points along the at least one gesture. The apparatus further includes an object detector configured to determine a graphical object based on the coordinates of points corresponding to the at least one gesture and an object manager configured to cause the graphical object to be displayed by the client device. The graphical object includes a formalized editable version of the at least one gesture in a format native to an application selected to receive the graphical object.

Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention includes a technique to provide multiple focus controls. First and second focus managers manage first and second focus owners, respectively. The first and second focus owners correspond to components of media planes displayable on at least one of a plurality of output display devices. The first and second focus managers associate first and second key events generated by first and second input devices, respectively, to the respective first and second focus owners. A router has a routing table that stores information of association between first and second connections and the first and second focus managers, respectively. The router routes one of the first and second key events originating from the respective connection to a corresponding focus manager using the routing table.

Abstract: A method and an electronic device for displaying content of an application combined with written data are provided. The electronic device includes an input unit configured to receive written data from a user, and a display unit configured to display an application execution screen of an application on a first layer, display a first written data on a second layer disposed on an upper side of the first layer, and display a second written data on a third layer disposed on an upper side of the second layer, where the display unit is further configured to display written data included in a content displaying region of the application execution screen, from among the first written data and the second written data, the content displaying region is a region on which content is displayed on the application execution screen, and the first written data and the second written data is editable based on a user command, and storable independently from the application.

Abstract: Systems and processes are disclosed for operating a digital assistant in a media environment. In an exemplary embodiment, a user can interact with a digital assistant of a media device while content is displayed by the media device. In one approach, a plurality of exemplary natural language requests can be displayed in response to detecting a user input of a first input type. The plurality of exemplary natural language requests can be contextually-related to the displayed content. In another approach, a user request can be received in response to detecting a user input of a second input type. A task that at least partially satisfies the user request can be performed. The performed task can depend on the nature of the user request and the content being displayed by the media device. In particular, the user request can be satisfied while reducing disruption to user consumption of media content.

Abstract: Users may interface with user interfaces populated with large sets of data items (e.g., contacts, files, photos, etc.), but may be unable to quickly and/or efficiently find a desired data item. Accordingly, as provided herein, a graphical user interface, populated with a set of data items, may be presented to a user of a client device. Sensor data may be received from a motion sensing component of the client device. The sensor data may indicate a motion of the client device. A motion rate of the motion may be determined. The set of data items may be visually traversed at a scroll rate derived from the motion rate (e.g., a faster motion may increase the scroll rate and a slower motion may decrease the scroll rate). In this way, the user may efficiently scroll through large sets of data items by panning, tilting, twisting, or otherwise moving the client device.

Abstract: A computer implemented method enables perception of multiple online personas in an instant messaging communications session by identifying at least two identities within a communications environment to whom messages may be directed, and by enabling a first persona of a user to be projected to a first of the identities while concurrently enabling a second persona of the same user to be projected to a second of the identities.

Abstract: A multi-dimensional graphic user interface displays selected types of information regarding items included in one or more databases or returned by a search in accordance with locations on a two-dimensional display area or projection of a three-dimensional space on a two-dimensional area and provides for selective display of information about respective items in a database (e.g. metadata) as additional dimensions of the display which may be suppressed and/or selectively introduced to avoid user distraction or obscuring information or for comparison between screens which may indicate to a user the degree to which a particular item may or may not be germane to an issue or particular subject matter of interest. The graphic user interface thus provides an effective tool for evaluating search results and organizing detailed review thereof.

Abstract: A method of controlling a display device including a touch screen is provided. The method includes setting an application execution space having one or more sub spaces in which windows executing applications are arranged, arranging windows corresponding to one or more applications which are being executed in the sub spaces of the set application execution space, displaying a first sub space corresponding to one of the one or more sub spaces on the touch screen, receiving a data sharing command for sharing data included in a first window arranged in the first sub space, and sharing the data to be shared by a second window arranged in a second sub space corresponding to one of the one or more sub spaces based on the data sharing command.

Abstract: An audio combining system including a storage database, one or more audio sources and a computing device coupled together via a network. The computing device comprises a processor and an application executed by the processor configured to import audio data comprising a plurality of audio files and metadata describing the audio files from the one or more audio sources, associate the audio files into a plurality of groups based on one or more characteristics of the audio files, transmit the audio data to a storage database and storing the audio data on the storage database and present the plurality of groups to a user for selection, wherein upon selection the audio files comprising the selected group are played in a set order to the user.

Abstract: According to an embodiment, when authoring an IMP, a designer may utilize an authoring tool to edit the visual and audio content associated with particular nodes. Further, in an embodiment, a designer may utilize an authoring tool to manipulate blocks corresponding to nodes of the IMP. For example, the authoring tool may include a library of stencils that the designer can utilize to create blocks corresponding to nodes of the IMP. In an embodiment, a designer may link the blocks to create a flow or tree establishing an ordered relationship between the blocks. A set of rules and/or facts may be generated based on the blocks and the designed flow. During IMP presentation, a rules engine may operate to activate nodes of the IMP based on the generated rules and/or facts.

Abstract: A subscription to multiple channels of information on a single topic is performed. A topic of interest is received via a user interface. In response to receiving the topic of interest, a plurality of channels associated with the topic of interest is determined. A user interface is provided to present an indication of the plurality of channels and a user interface element is provided to facilitate a user subscription to the plurality of channels associated with the topic of interest without having to subscribe separately to each channel. A user selection of the plurality of channels associated with the topic of interest is received and the user is subscribed to the plurality of channels in response to the received user selection.

These customization features can include functionality for generating custom reports based on vehicle parameters, including diagnostic codes. The customization features can also include features for customizing alerts based on vehicle parameters and features for customizing nomenclature in the vehicle management system.

Abstract: An implementation of an auto-completion or auto-correction mechanism where a dictionary of entry list look-up is triggered by the expiry of a time limit between data entry events such as key-press events, where the value of the time limit is dynamically determined as a function of the entry rate. The time limit may be calculated for example on the basis of an average entry rate, and may include an extra margin value. The occurrence of look up triggering will therefore tend to be optimised to the present user's data entry rate.

Abstract: Many users may plan meetings through social networks, email, and/or websites. As provided herein, a user may efficiently plan a meeting with other users through a map interface. For example, the user may identify a location of interest on a map, and choose one or more target users to receive an automatically generated location of interest message about meeting at the location of interest. The location of interest message may comprise text describing the location of interest (e.g., I am at the back table at the Steak Grill, I am near the library sign on the corner of West St. and East St., etc.), directions to an event at the location of interest, instructions about the event, a location of the event, a time of the event, etc.
