Abstract: The present teaching relates to dynamically generate a score floor model that provides a dynamically determined threshold metric to be used to select future bids that satisfy a first and second set of metrics. Feedback information is first received that relates to a plurality of bids previously submitted by a bidder to a publisher, wherein the feedback information indicates whether each of the plurality of bids has led to an impression. The first set of metrics specified by the publisher is obtained and the second set of metrics is retrieved. The score floor model with respect to the publisher is dynamically updated based on the feedback information as well as the first and second sets of metrics.

Abstract: Techniques facilitating advising bid values for usage of resource in a resource allocation data analytics framework are provided. In one example, a computer-implemented method can include generating, by a system operatively coupled to a processor, one or more performance models. A performance model of the one or more performance models is associated with respective service classes for a resource of a computing infrastructure associated with a provider network and comprising one or more resources available for allocation. A service class of the respective service classes represents a performance differentiation compared to other ones of the respective service classes. The computer-implemented method can also include determining, by the system, a suggested bid value for the resource. The suggested bid value represents an expected performance metric of the resource as a function of a bid value and is based on the one or more performance models.

Transaction data for a transaction conducted by a mobile merchant is electronically received at a server computer. The server computer determines a location of the mobile merchant based on the transaction data, and performs further processing based on the location of the mobile merchant.

The method may include receiving a plurality of bids from a plurality of online bidding communities during a live auction event at one of a primary technology provider and a relying technology provider, wherein the live auction event simultaneously occurs on a physical auction floor and virtually. The method may also include processing the plurality of bids at the primary technology provider. The method may further include providing the processed plurality of bids to a single designated clerking console associated with the primary technology provider for the live auction event. The method may also include receiving an accepted bid from the single designated clerking console.

Abstract: An event driven computing system generates selected benefit packages that include benefits that are drawn from multiple marketplace platforms and diverse product categories while also protecting consumer information. The event driven computing system may include one or more list generation engines that are each built to generate curated lists of benefits associated with one or more corresponding benefit package programs. The event driven system may then pass the curated lists and an identifier associated with a recipient of the benefit package to a secure customization engine that personalizes the curated sets of benefits to individual consumers based on consumer data. The event driven system can then use the personalized sets of benefits to select benefits for inclusion in the benefit package that are individually tailored to the recipient.

Abstract: An item rating and recommendation platform identifies rating data comprising respective ratings of multiple items with respect to multiple users, identifies user-feature data comprising multiple user features contributing to the respective ratings of the multiple items with respect to the multiple users, and receives, from a social network platform via a secret sharing scheme with a trusted initializer, manipulated social network data computed based on social network data and first input data from the trusted initializer. The social network data indicate social relationships between any two of the multiple users. In the secret sharing scheme with the trusted initializer, the social network platform shares with the item rating and recommendation platform the manipulated social network data without disclosing the social network data. The item rating and recommendation platform updates the user-feature data based on the rating data and the manipulated social network data.

In one embodiment, a method for generating promotion impressions is provided which includes receiving, via a user interface, a request for a promotion, wherein the request comprises one or more indications of consumer preferences for the promotion and causing transmission of the request to a promotion and marketing service. The method further comprises receiving an impression comprising promotion data for one or more merchants based at least in part on the one or more indications of preferences. The method further comprises receiving, via the user interface, a selection of a promotion to purchase wherein the promotion is selected from the promotion data in the impression. Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for utilizing a vehicle to determine an identity of a user. A user may establish a vehicle as associated with the user, such as a vehicle owned by the user or used by the user. The vehicle may include a vehicle device that may be configured to establish connections with other devices using short range and network communications. In various embodiments, the other devices may be devices at merchant locations. Thus, a merchant at the merchant location may be informed about settings, preferences, and/or parameters for use of the vehicle established by the user. The merchant may receive these parameters even if another user is utilizing the vehicle, thus, establishing rules for use of the vehicle by the other user. In other embodiments, the other devices may be devices in other vehicles, allowing the users to communicate and set waypoints during trips.

Abstract: A system and related method for completing online transactions via mobile device includes a client-side e-commerce platform executing on the mobile device that identifies candidate items for purchase based on images related to an item desired by the user. Purchase information for items offered by participating vendors is retrieved by the platform via APIs of the vendor network. Purchase information for items offered by third-party vendors outside the network is retrieved by a middleware platform called by the client-side platform. The user may select items for purchase and complete the transaction via single click, whereby the middleware forwards payment details to the third-party vendors and retrieves pricing, inventory, and purchase information (as well as authorization codes and records of the completed transaction) from the third-party vendors. The client-side platform generates a single transaction and invoice whether the selected items are purchased from in-network or third-party vendors.

The initialization module provides an initialization interface to a merchant that receives an indication from the merchant to initialize creation of a storefront application. The platform module receives a selection of mobile phone device operating systems; accesses stored templates from a template database, and maps elements in the stored templates to portions of source code to generate sets of operating system-specific source code. The stored templates correspond to the selected mobile phone device operating systems. The stored templates include source code used to implement portions of the storefront application on a mobile phone device operating system. When compiled, the sets of operating system-specific source code become versions of the storefront application executable by a respective one of mobile phone device operating systems.

Abstract: A system and method for providing financial account messages to customers while accessing web sites is disclosed. Methods, systems and articles of manufacture consistent with the present invention enable a financial account issuer to provide an application to customer's computer system over a network. The application may be configured to provide various messages associated with the customer's financial account provided by the financial account issuer while the customer browses web sites. The financial account messages may be configured to provide interactive and dynamically changing account status information based on attempted purchases of goods and/or services by the customer at merchants' web sites. The application may also be configured to provide rating information associated with web sites accessed by the customer.
