Abstract: An image forming apparatus forms an image on a print medium, and the image forming apparatus includes: a storage that stores medium information including profile information corresponding to the print medium and attribute information of the print medium; and a medium detection sensor that detects attribute actual information of the print medium; wherein the medium information is configured such that the profile information corresponding to the print medium is associated with the attribute information of the print medium, and the attribute information or the print medium includes information detectable by the medium detection sensor.
Abstract: A cell site can be configured to have a first group of antennas arranged to provide coverage around the cell site and a second group of interleaved antennas that are interleaved between the antennas of the first group. The two groups can communicate at different frequency sets so that the two groups do not interfere with one another. Service nulls of one group that would otherwise be created by interference and low RSSI between antennas from the same group can be covered by the main beam of the other group, which can significantly improve SINR.
Abstract: A network system analyzes data samples using embeddings based on, for example, symbolic representations of the data samples or representations in latent dimension space. The network system coordinates providers who provide geographical location-based services to users. The network system may receive data samples from the client device of a provider. For instance, a sensor of the client device captures the data samples during a transportation service along a particular route. To verify that the data samples accurately indicate the location or movement of the provider, the network system can generate a test embedding representing the data samples and compare the test embedding with a reference embedding. The reference embedding is generated based on data samples captured for other similar services, e.g., corresponding to providers who also provided transportation services along the same particular route.
Abstract: Systems and methods for a media guidance application that adjusts output parameters of media assets delivered to output devices based on user preferences of users near the output devices. For example, the media guidance application may adjust the volume to be higher at a speaker near a first user who enjoys a particular media asset and lower at a speaker near a second user who dislikes the media asset.

Abstract: In order to make existing IVR transactions visible to mobile device users that utilize a Virtual Personal Assistant (VPA), an interface is provided for an IVR system. The interface receives a transaction request from a VPA for a transaction provided by the IVR system and determines the transaction pertaining to the request. The interface then executes the respective IVR transaction application and converts the voice prompts of the IVR application to semantic data requests that can be interpreted by the VPA. The interface can provide data to the IVR application from data provided in the initial transaction request. Any missing data fields can be requested from the VPA. If the VPA is unable to provide the missing data from data available to the VPA, the VPA is able to prompt the user with text, audio and/or images prompts to obtain the missing data for the transaction.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a read-out unit, a memory unit, and a processor. The read-out unit reads out first collation information from an exchange product which is mounted in the image forming apparatus. The memory unit stores second collation information. The processor detects a power supply or a sleep return, compares the first collation information with the second collation information based on detection of the power supply or the sleep return, and sets an operation mode based on a comparison result of the first collation information with the second collation information.

Abstract: A system and method provide a security aspect for a UE in dual connectivity mode of operation in wireless communication networks. The system and method provide secure simultaneous transmission and reception in a secure manner between a User Equipment (UE) and one or more eNodeBs (eNBs) configured in an inter-eNB carrier aggregation scenario. The system establishes of a security context between the UE and the Secondary eNB (SeNB) using the RRC signaling between the UE and the Master eNB (MeNB), when a plurality of SCells within SeNB are added simultaneously. The system also detects the intruder in the user data radio bearers, while a UE is operating in dual connectivity mode of operation.
