Abstract: A printing system acquires device information from a printing device, transmits the device information acquired to a service providing device and registers the device information acquired, and receives registration information, from the service providing device, for the printing device registered to access the service providing device, with the registration information including an address of the cloud printing service provided by the service providing device and a signed certificate. The received registration information is transmitted to the printing device. The printing device of which the device information has been registered with the service providing device accesses the service providing device using the registration information to acquire a print job held by the service providing device and execute the acquired job.

Abstract: According to an embodiment, an image forming apparatus which stores settings for use in performing job processing includes: a display; and a storage which stores a setting history related to settings of past job processing, and a collective setting in which settings related to job processing are registered collectively. Abstract: Provided is an image forming system that can utilize result of offset printing in digital printing. The image forming system is capable for hybrid printing that performs offset printing and digital printing. A ticket creation unit creates a job ticket that includes print processing settings for each page. A digital setting unit acquires processing change information including change information at the time of processing in the offset printing to the job ticket created by the ticket creation unit, and it generates digital print setting for the digital printing. Further, the digital printing apparatus functions as a digital printing unit that outputs for digital printing based on the digital print settings generated by the digital setting unit.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for print review systems. One embodiment is a print review system that includes a memory that stores inspection parameters of print media marked by a printer, an interface that communicates with the printer, and a controller that, in response to the printer initiating processing of a print job, receives an indication via the interface of settings used by the printer in processing the print job, modifies the parameters based on the settings, inspects the print media based on the modified parameters, and reports compliance of the print job with the modified parameters.

Abstract: A printing system includes a printing device having a digital front end (DFE) and at least one client device that sends print jobs to the printing device. The DFE stores a device capability file that sets forth device and print options available for the printing device. The print options include a priority value, an option type, a grouping option, a print option icon, and a preview overlay graphic. A copy of the device capability file is made available to a client application on the client device. The client application retrieves all the print information from the device capability file. The client application also presents and previews the print options using the appropriate preview graphic overlay.

If user activity analysis is required, request a user-activity machine-learning model to provide user activity analysis data. The system establishes a relation between the print job and the user activity analysis data to generate input information to a job-data classification machine-learning model. The job-data classification machine-learning model provides print job data classification details as input information to a print setting recommendation learning model. The print setting recommendation machine-learning model processes the received print job data classification details and outputs a print setting recommendation.

Abstract: A color printing system includes a printing device and other components that use color printing resources, such as calibration and ICC profiles, to complete color printing operations. These color printing resources are used for a large number of paper types stored in a paper catalog. The paper types can be further placed into paper groups within the paper catalog. The paper groups may be formed by assigning new papers into the paper catalog to those having paper types with existing calibration data and ICC profiles. These relationships are shown in a paper catalog map. The print shop can use the paper catalog map for selling paper types, providing different capabilities for paper types, and other information. The paper catalog map also may be used to select a paper type from a primary paper type and a secondary paper type.
