Abstract: A computer-implemented method comprising receiving a set of rules that define assigning tax codes for a first entity based on a plurality of parameters; receiving invoice data that defines an invoice directed to the first entity; automatically determining a commodity type applicable to the invoice data by digitally cross-referencing line items in the invoice data representing goods or services to community transaction data, the community transaction data comprising a plurality of different line item data for different invoices of other entities different from and unrelated to the first entity; automatically assigning tax codes to the invoice data based on the commodity type and the set of rules; and causing to display the commodity type and the tax codes in a graphical user interface.

Abstract: An inventory management system includes one or more radio frequency identification (RFID) readers each configured to detect RFID labels attached to inventory items within a certain radius of the RFID reader. The one or more RFID readers are configured to automatically determine a directional movement of RFID labels and attached inventory items. A first computer server is configured to communicate, via a network connection, with one or more client devices, and also configured to receive data gathered by the one or more RFID readers. The first computer server is configured to maintain a real-time inventory status of the inventory items. The real-time inventory status includes a location of the one or more RFID labels. The first computer server is configured to transmit the real-time inventory status to a display of the client device.

Abstract: A system and method provide context to customer activity through a visual representation. In one implementation, a system may include one or more memory devices storing instructions. The system may also include one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to receive transaction data associated with a customer, and receive a request to generate a visual representation of a trip taken by the customer. The one or more processors may also be configured to determine transactions associated with a trip taken by the customer based on at least the transaction data, and generate a visual representation of the trip, the visual representation including the transactions.

Abstract: Volume of a fluid, such as gasoline or diesel fuel, in a tank is determined by measuring the pressure of the fluid using a pressure sensor positioned proximate the bottom of the tank. The depth of the fluid in the tank is then calculated by dividing the pressure by the density of the fluid. Fluid volume is then determined mathematically or from charts given the depth as well as the size and shape of the tank. Multiple pressure readings may be taken along or near the bottom of a tank, and an average pressure determined that may be used to calculate measured volume. To maintain accuracy at different altitudes, pressure readings are preferably adjusted for atmospheric pressure using differential pressure sensors or a processor using data indicative of both pressures. Volume changes exceeding a predetermined threshold, or which are not comparable to dispensed fuel, may be flagged and alerts generated.

Abstract: Systems and methods related to point-of-sale devices are disclosed. In an embodiment, a point-of-sale system includes a base stand having a receiving interface that includes first electrical contacts. The POS system may further include a computing device having a user interface, a docking interface comprising second electrical contacts, wherein the docking interface is configured to removably dock the computing device to the receiving interface of the base stand such that the first electrical contacts of the computing device are in contact with the second electrical contacts of the base stand. The computing device may further include a card reader configured to receive and read a card when inserted into the card reader and a scanner configured to scan machine-readable codes. The computing device may be configured to extend or enable various functions of the base stand when the computing device is docked to the base stand.

Abstract: A mobile device is used to initiate and execute a transaction between a customer and a merchant. A mobile device is used to initiate a point of sale transaction, wherein a merchant ID is sent to a payment processing server. Responsive to receiving a communication from the mobile device, the payment processing server requests transaction information from the merchant, wherein the merchant is identified based on the provided merchant ID. The merchant can provide transaction information such as the total sale amount to the payment processing server. The payment processing server can authenticate the customer and initiate a purchase transaction with the appropriate financial institutions associated with the customer and the merchant. The payment processing server can send a confirmation of the executed transaction to the merchant and the mobile device.

Abstract: A inventory system for product storage and retrieval. Ordered goods are placed in bag units at a central filling center and shipped to local storage areas, where the bags are placed onto rails in a storage structure. The rails include an imaging sensor at each bag receiving location defined on the rails for obtaining a bag identifier that is affixed with the bag unit. The bag identifier and the rail address for each bag unit is stored on a local computer database. When a user wants to pick up stored goods, the user inputs the identification or order information for the goods and the computer will search the inventory to locate the goods in a specific stored bag unit. The rail adjacent the bag unit is illuminated to facilitate locating the goods.

Abstract: Facial recognition is used to allow access to platform-agnostic account information. A processing and verification device receives a request for a transaction requiring access to account information of a user. Responsive to the request, a new image of the user is generated, such as using an image sensor of a camera. The new image is used to query a database to determine whether an existing image stored in the database matches or substantially matches the new image. Responsive to a positive result of the query, the request is allowed by the processing and verification device granting the access to the account information. The access to the account information is then used to complete the transaction. The account information uses a global architecture such that it can be used with different hardware and software configurations of a connected system.
