  • Patent number: 7823758
Abstract: A vee shaped open-armed folding hanger (10) for an improved method of drying and storing watersport garments (20, 22, & 25). Current hangers support all the weight of the garments on the shoulders or shoulder straps causing damage to the garment. This hanger minimizes the stress on a garment (20) by supporting its mid-section from an open horizontal arm (14). By providing two steeply angled arms, bootie posts (12b), to hold booties (22) and glove lanyard (24) for gloves (25), all garments are kept on one hanger. When not in use it is folded to conceal the hook, eliminating the potential to inflict damage to a garment when packed together for travel. In the open position, the rotated vee shape provides more vertical reach than other designs; increasing the hanger's versatility. The addition of an auxiliary swivel hook (27) provides even more versatility in suspending the hanger.

  • Patent number: 7810171
Abstract: A T-shirt style nursing garment is described. A T-shirt or other type of torso garment has an opening along the sides of the garment starting from under the arm to approximately half-way down the length of the garment. The opening is not apparent or obvious to someone looking at the garment. The nursing garment allows a woman to breastfeed without exposing any portion of the breast or shoulder. In order to provide access to the breast by a nursing infant, the woman does not have to unhook or unzip the garment or remove any other portions of clothing, such as panels or flaps. Upon separating the back and front panels of the nursing garment to create the opening, the woman pulls the front panel of the garment toward the middle of her chest thereby creating the opening and exposing the breast for the nursing infant.

  • Patent number: 7810172
Abstract: A garment for accommodating medical devices comprises a garment panel detachably coupled to a garment body. The garment panel contains a concealed pocket suitable for accommodating one or more medical devices. The garment panel is detachable from the garment body at predetermined attachment zones which provide access to device sites and permit complete detachment of the garment panel. The panel may also be fixed to the garment body at anchor zones, while allowing decoupling at attachment zones. The pocket may contain an inner compartment for receiving a supplemental material such as an absorbing or deodorizing material. Apertures to the inner compartment allow the supplemental material to proximate device sites on the patient body or medical apparatus stored in the pocket. Stabilizers positioned on the interior of the garment may be used to secure medical monitor wires, tubing, or other devices. The garment is intended for wear by children and adults.

  • Patent number: 7806304
Abstract: A narrow wrap of colorful cloth is helically wound end-to-end over a hanger body, including its upstanding central and downwardly sloping shoulder regions, but not covering the hanger swivel hook at the central region. A decorative yarn holds the wrap in place, being first secured near one end to the hanger swivel hook, and then being helically wound over one end shoulder region and out to proximate one hanger end and then being wound back over the shoulder and central regions substantially out to the other hanger end and back then to the central region. The yarn is then tied to the swivel hook. A thin padding preferably covers the hanger to underlie the wrap, but the swivel hook extends through a slit therein to be exposed. The ends of the tubular wrap are folded over and secured by the yarn to hide the hanger ends.

  • Patent number: 7798081
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a bottom thread supply device for sewing machines. The bottom thread supply device of the present invention includes a light source (500) and a light receiving sensor (110). When the light source (500) radiates light onto a bobbin (300), around which a bottom thread is wound, if there is no remaining thread, the light receiving sensor (110), which is disposed in a central portion of a rotary hook (100), detects the light, thus generating a signal to let a user know that there is no remaining thread. As such, when there is no remaining thread, the present invention automatically lets the user know this thanks to the operation of the light receiving sensor, thus preventing unproductive or defective sewing, thereby increasing productivity and preventing economic loss.

  • Patent number: 7797764
Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, a military helmet incorporating a neck shield extension is described. The neck shield extension is coupled to the body of the helmet using a plurality of elongated flexible straps. Accordingly, the neck extension moves upwardly whenever the wearer tilts his/her head back or to the side so that the wearer's head mobility is not hindered. The straps are comprised of a material having both a high tensile strength and tensile modulus that helps firmly hold the extension in place relative to the helmet when the extension is impacted with a ballistic projectile or other shrapnel.
