  • Patent number: 11497923
Abstract: A patient-worn arrhythmia monitoring and treatment device includes a pair of therapy electrodes and at least one pair of sensing electrodes disposed proximate to the skin and configured to continually sense at least one ECG signal of the patient over an extended period of time. The device includes a therapy delivery circuit coupled to the pair of therapy electrodes and configured to deliver one or more therapeutic pulses. A controller coupled to therapy delivery circuit is configured to analyze the at least one ECG signal and detect one or more treatable arrhythmias and cause the therapy delivery circuit to deliver the one or more therapeutic pulses to the patient. At least one of the one or more therapeutic pulses is formed as a biphasic waveform delivering within 15 percent of 360 J of energy to a patient body having a transthoracic impedance from about 20 to about 200 ohms.

  • Patent number: 11490954
Abstract: A forceps includes an end effector assembly having a stop and a plurality of overmold teeth within at least one jaw member. One (or both) of the jaw members is moveable relative to the other between a spaced-apart position and an approximated position for grasping tissue therebetween. One (or both) of the jaw members includes a stop molded within an insulative housing, and an insulator plate with the overmold teeth formed from plastic. The overmold teeth extend through openings within a sealing plate and protrude past the tissue sealing surface of the sealing plate. The stop primarily controls the gap distance between opposing jaw members by bearing most of an applied load and the overmold teeth assist in controlling the gap distance by bearing the remaining applied load.

  • Patent number: 11484241
Abstract: A method of obtaining and analyzing ECG data from a patient or group of patients is disclosed. The ECG data is obtained from the patient at an acquisition device. Once the ECG data is obtained, the ECG data is transmitted to an analysis server that is operated by an analysis provider and is located remote from the location of the acquisition device. Along with the ECG data, acquisition parameters are transmitted to the analysis server. At the analysis server, one of a plurality of algorithms is selected to analyze the ECG data. If an abnormality is detected, the patient information is directed to a healthcare provider who can then contact the patient to schedule an appointment. Based upon the referral, a referral fee can be transferred from the healthcare provider to the analysis provider. The patient can be prompted to provide additional information and selections that dictate the level of analysis generated.
