Abstract: A fixture assembly includes a frame with a tip rail displaced from a main body. A method of polishing a gas turbine engine component includes restricting a flow of media adjacent to a tip of a component with an airfoil to be generally equal to a flow of media adjacent to a sidewall of the airfoil.
Abstract: Systems and methods for cutting piles wherein, for example, a pile cutting device is attached to the end of an articulated arm of an excavator, the pile cutting device having a set of grasping arms that hold the pile and a set of saw blades that are linearly advanced to cut the pile in a single stroke. The saw blades are offset so that the cutting paths of the blades overlap. The saw blades may be positioned at the ends of telescoping arms that are coupled to a linearly movable frame. A single hydraulic unit moves the frame along a central rail. The frame is coupled to one or more cables and pulleys so that the travel of the telescopic arms is twice that of the frame.

Abstract: A gear or profile grinding machine and a method for operating such a machine, especially for grinding of pre-geared or pre-profiled workpieces, wherein the machine includes at least one tool spindle which can receive at least one grinding tool, and at least one workpiece spindle which is movably arranged at a carrier element and which can be driven up to the tool spindle for an at least temporary cooperation of the workpiece with the grinding tool by at least one drive. To enhance the precision of the machine at growing workpieces with simple measures, at least one mass is arranged at or in the carrier element, which is arranged movable at or on a guiding element by a drive element, wherein the mass is permanently free from any contact with another machine part and/or workpiece part and/or tool part.
Abstract: A hand operated power tool comprising a housing with a motor and a working element performing an actuating movement if the tool is actuated. The motor is adapted to actuate a tool shaft in order to make it perform a rotational movement. A carrier element is functionally located between the tool shaft actuated by the motor and the working element for translating the rotational movement of the tool shaft into the actuating movement of the working element. In order to provide for a power tool, which allows perfect working of a workpiece with different types of actuating movements and/or working elements, it is suggested that the working element and the carrier element make part of a functional unit constituting a unit separate of the rest of the tool, wherein the functional unit is detachably fixed to the rest of the tool, in particular to the tool shaft.
Abstract: A fence post removal device is provided which provides a simple mechanical device to allow a person to remove a fence post from an installed position within the ground. The device allows the person to sit atop a machine like a tractor or front loader, position the device over an exposed end of the fence post, and lower the device such that an internal guide causes the device to self-align with the top of a fence post which passes through the device a specific distance before coming into contact with a bumper which prevents the device from dropping too close to the ground.
