  • Patent number: 9827650
Abstract: An apparatus for blasting a media onto a surface comprises an oscillating nozzle, a mount and a power source. The mount attaches the nozzle to tooling, enabling the nozzle to be raised and lowered about a vertical axis, and enabling the nozzle to be repositioned about a horizontal axis. The power source enables the nozzle to oscillate. The blasting media is sprayed through the nozzle onto the surface. The oscillating nozzle projects an enlarged dispersion pattern of the blasting media onto the surface being treated. The apparatus may include a basket positioned near the mount, enabling an operator to be positioned upon a truss and control the blasting of the media onto the surface, the basket being mounted via a swivel bearing, enabling the basket to self-level. Also, the media blasting apparatus may be controlled by an operator positioned in a remote control computer area.

  • Patent number: 9821431
Abstract: Provided is a CMP conditioner comprising: a substrate, multiple abrasive bars, and multiple slide blocks. The substrate is divided into a central surface and an outer surface. The central surface is a recessed part. The outer surface encompasses the central surface. Multiple mounting holes are recessed from the outer surface. The abrasive bars are each respectively mounted in the mounting holes. Each of the multiple abrasive bars comprises a bar body and an abrasive particle. The abrasive particle is mounted on a top surface of the abrasive bar. The multiple slide blocks are distributed among the mounting holes of the outer surface. Each of the multiple slide blocks comprises a slide dressing surface. The present invention utilizes the slide blocks to reduce the contact between the substrate and a polishing mat efficiently. The slide blocks may decrease dissolving out of metal components within the substrate and the pollution induced.

  • Patent number: 9814487
Abstract: A puncture needle includes a needle tube 1 provided with a spiral groove 3 and wall surfaces 3a and 3b of the spiral groove 3 serve as a surface for reflecting ultrasonic waves. The spiral groove is formed on the peripheral surface of the needle tube such that a grinding stone 2 is brought into contact with the peripheral surface of the needle tube while the needle tube 1 is being moved in its axial direction and rotated. The wall surfaces of the spiral groove formed on the needle tube serve as a reflection surface to change the orientation of the reflection surface in the axial direction of the needle tube according to change in position of the spiral. Therefore, even if a direction in which an ultrasonic wave is applied to the puncture needle is fixed, any portion of the reflection surface changing in orientation can become a surface for reflecting well ultrasonic waves, so that good ultrasonic waves can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 9808907
Abstract: A polishing clamp for clamping a work-piece to be polished and a polishing method using the same. The polishing clamp includes a fixing-block for fixing the work-piece to be polished, a recess formed on an end surface of the fixing-block and having the same shape as the work-piece to be polished, the work-piece able to be embedded in the recess, and when the work-piece is placed in the recess, a polished surface of the work-piece to be polished is flush with the end surface of the fixing-block forming the recess. Since a portion of the work-piece to be polished that does not need polish could be prevented from contacting the polishing apparatus by means of the fixing-block when being polished, the over-wearing may not occur at edges and corners of the work-piece, improving the quality of polishing. This can improve the quality of, e.g., a light guide plate.
