Abstract: A cover for an umbrella table assembly receives an umbrella pole therethrough. A portion of the cover associated with the pole is releasably secured to the pole and maintained in elevated position by the pole to provide a tent-like structure which includes an annular peripheral skirt which depends below the table top. Releasable fasteners which secure a cover to an article are attached to the cover after the cover has been positioned on the article.
Abstract: A lightweight, high-strength support platform for use in furniture construction, which has superior structural integrity and can be used, by way of example, in portable folding tables, in work tables and in modular furniture of the character typically used in modern office complexes. The support platform embodies a novel structural reinforcement core of a unique configuration which is both lightweight and exhibits superior strength and durability characteristics. In one form of the invention, the support platform is used in the construction of a lightweight, readily portable folding table which includes two pair of legs that are pivotally connected to the platform for pivotal movement between an extended operational position and a retracted storage and transport position.
Abstract: The table includes a plurality of generally planar panels pivotally secured to one another along opposite edges and in series with one another to define a plurality of spaced generally parallel pivotal axes. A number of the panels form step panels having legs disposable in stored and table supporting positions. The legs in the stored position lie within the panels and extend at right angles into the support positions. Panels intermediate the step panels form riser panels. The panels are pivotal relative to one another between positions wherein the panels lie in generally parallel planes forming a compact portable unit and lie in a stepped arrangement with the riser panels extending vertically between step panels lying at different elevations relative to one another to form a folding table capable of being erected in a variety of multi-tiered and co-planar configurations.

Optionally but preferably, each side support can also include a cross transverse bar which is optionally configured to support a drawer slide in combination with an associated respective leg member.
Abstract: A computer work station comprises a fixed position work surface having an enlarged monitor opening therein, a recessed component support pan attached to the work surface under the monitor opening, and a raisable monitor support mechanism mounted in the component pan that supports the monitor platform. The monitor lift mechanism is an extendable folding frame that is counterbalanced with a spring mechanism to offset the weight of the monitor such that the monitor can be raised or lowered simply by lifting or lowering the monitor platform manually, with the monitor remaining in place after its position has been adjusted. The component pan provides a recessed support and storage space for the monitor and other components. An adjustable work surface is mounted at the front of the fixed work surface by means of an adjustable mounting mechanism located in the pan and having cantilever arms extending out of the pan. A separate docking station can be provided for a lap top computer.
Abstract: A trading desk cluster of back-to-back, side-to-side paired desk modules employs a generally enclosed cabinet for mounting internally electronic data processing equipment, which develops high heat under load. The enclosed cabinet includes an apertured front wall for passage of cooling air and carries internally a fan assembly including a box-like plenum chamber, from which rises at the rear an upright outlet duct sized smaller than the open lower end of a vertical chimney at the rear of the desk. Tilting of the fan assembly permits the outlet duct to project vertically upward within the chimney and locked to the lower end thereof. The fan assembly is mounted on an angle bar for tilting and for supporting the fan assembly for sliding longitudinally to a position so as to overlie and be centered with the underlying processing equipment such as a CPU.

Abstract: A panel is provided for use in the fabrication of cabinet doors, the face portion of drawers and the like which comprises a combination of two resin materials, one of which has a selected color, which are simultaneously cured within a mold to form recesses and raised portions of essentially any desired ornamental design.
Abstract: A collapsible massage table has two sides, each side being supported by a support structure including two legs. Each leg is connected to the center of the table by a brace having an articulating joint. Two cable lines stabilize the leg structure. Each cable line connects pivot points of legs on opposing ends of the table and at least one of the articulating brace joints.
Abstract: A cart for transporting materials along a floor having a base positioned parallel to the floor. Positioned above the base is a rectangular cover having a first side edge, a second side edge and a back edge defining three sides of a rectangle. A first side support, a second side support and a back support each extend from the base to the cover. Four vertical supports extend from the base to contact the cover at four points substantially aligned with a first diagonal of the rectangle.
Abstract: Folding table system for positive locking of the table leg in a down and locked position or a positive locking of a table leg in the up and locked position where a spring loaded lever operated pawl member automatically engages a rotatable extruded block member to achieve either an uplocked or downlocked position. A secondary safety lock is also provided.
Abstract: A drawer interlock assembly for a furniture article having at least first and second drawers. A track member is positioned on the furniture article. The assembly includes at least first and second locking members slidingly mounted in the track member. The locking members are interconnected by at least one interconnection strip. Each of the locking members includes a locking projection. The assembly further includes at least first and second drawer members attached to the first and second drawers, respectively. Each of the drawer members includes a first ramp and a second ramp. Engagement of the locking projections with the first and second ramps allows only one drawer of the furniture article to be opened at a time.
