Abstract: A repair device that repairs a brassiere or similar garment with an underwire that has poked through its fabric casing. The repair device accommodates various thicknesses and shapes of underwire tips and is installed inside an underwire's fabric casing. This invention also includes a single use installation apparatus that enables and facilitates the installation of the repair device by reducing friction between the repair device and the inner surfaces of an underwire's fabric casing.

Abstract: A bra incorporates shape memory alloy, either in shape memory or super-elastic states, an accelerometer, a power source, a microprocessor, and an algorithm implemented by the microprocessor to learn and adapt to the displacement pattern of the wearer's breast during a physical activity. The shape memory alloy is in the form of SMA or super-elastic wires integrated into portions of the bra, whereby activating the wire(s) shortens the corresponding wire to produce a compressive force on the breast within the bra. The system thereby provides real-time, active suspension to control breast displacement or bounce. The system provides real-time feedback to a memory or super-elastic material integrated into the bra to provide adaptive force and displacement to counteract the push-off and landing forces at each footfall of the moving wearer affecting breast displacement.

Abstract: A bra strap cover system is disclosed. The system includes a bra including at least one shoulder strap and a decorative bra strap cover. The shoulder strap of the bra includes a plurality of fasteners attached to its upper surface. The underside of the bra strap cover includes a plurality fasteners attached thereto. The bra strap cover is configured to be removably attached to the bra strap such that the bra strap cover substantially covers and overlies the upper surface of the shoulder strap.

Abstract: A method for protecting the human head during and after an impact. This is accomplished by fabricating a layer of material that fits precisely on each individual wearer's head, and yet is so rigid that upon impact, the head will not be allowed to significantly change shape or volume, even temporarily. The structure and properties of this protective layer can be easily adapted to most helmet designs. The preferred method of forming this protective layer is to map each wearer's head shape with laser scanning, and then form the layer by means of 3D printing. Said fitted and rigid layer in very close and uniform contact with each wearers head is called an SPDI shield. The SPDI label stands for “Shape Preservation During Impact”.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a garment having a cup portion with two cups, a body portion integrated with the cup portion, and a band are disposed on the garment such that is extends beneath the cup portions. The band is either on the body portion or adjacent the body portion. The garment also has support structures with a configuration, each following proximately a contour of the lower part of its respective cup, wherein a portion of the support structure is formed on and fixed to the band and a portion of the support structure extends on the body of the garment and is attached thereto. As such the support structure configuration is approximately arcuate. The garment also has additional control regions. The control is provided by fabric or materials that have less stretch than the body fabric from which the body of the garment is made.

A snap separably couples the free end of the band to a section of the band above the bend thereby creating a chamber. A vibrator is positioned in the chamber over the temple of the wearer. A tilt switch is positioned in the chamber and is operatively coupled to the vibrator whereby a nodding wearer will tilt the tilt switch to activate the vibrator and awaken the wearer. Batteries operatively couple the vibrator and the tilt switch.

Abstract: A dual function, convertible bra garment includes a construction facilitating user-controllable conversion between a nursing bra configuration, readily usable during a conventional infant or young toddler nursing process, and a breast engorgement-inhibiting configuration. During use as a nursing bra, the garment is maintained in a first configuration, or state, providing direct access by a nursing child to a mother's nipple. Following a relatively simple highly-controllable conversion procedure, the nursing configuration is efficiently and effectively converted, generally based upon a combined elastic band strap-based system, for applying a user-selected uniform breast pressure, coupled with a user—controlled cooling component, and absorbing component, for indirectly communicating cooling to the wearer's breasts or discharge absorption pad, thereby effecting complete conversion of the bra from a nursing configuration to a breast milk engorgement inhibiting configuration.

The inner abdominal-restraint layer can be attached to the outer garment layer. In some embodiments, a front bottom and/or back bottom of the inner abdominal-restraint layer are attached to an inner side of the outer garment layer. The front top of the inner abdominal-restraint layer can be configured to be even with the front rise of the outer garment layer or extend above the front rise of the outer garment layer. The inner abdominal-restraint layer can be configured to extend across a garment-wearer's abdominal region. In some embodiments, the abdominal-restraint garment is a pair of pants, jeans, a pair of shorts, a skirt, leggings, or tights. Also disclosed herein are methods of assembling the abdominal-restraint garments disclosed herein.

A cup portion has innovative materials, fabric cuts, seams and layers providing push-up and push-in to a wearer's bust line. Further to the enhanced look, the invention also provides substantial comfort and feel. Specialized elastic bands are additionally included to shoulder straps and a chest strap providing lift similar to spring force. The invention also adds versatility to its design to include size adjustment and optional crisscrossed back straps or adjusted to be worn as a halter around the wearer's neck.
