  • Patent number: 10963969
Abstract: Methods and systems for determining risk associated with operation of autonomous vehicles using autonomous communication are provided. According to certain aspects, autonomous operation features associated with a vehicle may be determined, including features associated with autonomous communication between vehicles or with infrastructure. This information may be used to determine risk levels for a plurality of features, which may be based upon test data regarding the features or actual loss data. Expected use levels and autonomous communication levels may further be determined and used with the risk levels to determine a total risk level associated with operation of the vehicle. The autonomous communication levels may indicate the types of communications, the levels of communication with other vehicles or infrastructure, or the frequency of autonomous communication. The total risk level may be used to determine or adjust aspects of an insurance policy associated with the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10943297
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to implementation of a trading system or trading system architecture having multiple transaction processors that process or execute instructions. The instructions are sent to the transaction processors before they are to be executed, so that when an instruction identifier corresponding to a pre-sent or pre-loaded instruction is sent to a transaction processor, the transaction processor can retrieve and execute the corresponding instruction without unnecessary delay, thus reducing transaction processing latency and improving computing efficiency.

  • Patent number: 10922665
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include computer-implemented systems, apparatuses, and processes that, among other things, automatically generate and populate digital interfaces based on adaptively processed image data captured by a network-connected device operating within a computing environment. For example, an apparatus may receive, from a device, a first signal that includes image data identifying a document associated with a data exchange capable of initiation by the device. The apparatus may detect, within a first portion of the image data, a presence of first textual content associated with a first parameter of the data exchange, extract a first value characterizing the first parameter from the first textual content, and generate and transmit a second signal that includes the first value to the device. The second signal includes information that instructs the device to display the first value within a portion of an interface corresponding to the first parameter.

  • Patent number: 10915905
Abstract: Batch-processing of open tabs associated with one or more customers of a merchant is described. An identifier and/or payment instrument associated with the customer may be determined and a tab data structure associated with a customer may be created. The tab data structure may be configured to store interactions between the customer and the merchant. Details of transactions between the customer and the merchant may be stored while the tab remains open. In response to determining that an event has occurred, the open tab(s) may be closed and the stored transactions may be processed via a batch-processing technique. In this way, the open tabs associated with the customer and/or the merchant may be processed in batch, thereby reducing the level of interaction and resources required of the merchant and customer to process tabs individually and reducing the amount of delayed and/or lost funds.

  • Patent number: 10902428
Abstract: Techniques of risk-based authentication involve adjusting a risk engine used by a recipient entity based on feedback acquired from multiple entities. Along these lines, both a recipient risk engine and one or more donor risk engines perform risk-based authentication for which respective feedback is generated. The feedback indicates whether certain transaction requests predicted to be fraudulent are confirmed to be fraudulent. The recipient risk engine is then adjusted based on the feedback created for itself, the feedback created for any of the donor risk engines, or some combination thereof.

  • Patent number: 10885578
Abstract: A method and apparatus for implementing a combined investment. Financing is obtaining by collateralizing a first investment representing ownership interests of a plurality of independent investors. The financing is used to acquire a second investment. At least a portion of any returns on the second investment is applied to the benefit of the independent investors. In this manner, investors effectively get the benefit of two investments for the cost of one. By differentiating the asset classes of the two investments, greater diversification is provided. Through pooling of investor capital and/or fractional share ownership, even greater diversification and better investment opportunities may be achieved. By selecting complementary investments, e.g. growth oriented securities and income-producing real estate, a beneficial synergistic effect may be obtained when the investments are cooperatively managed, e.g. by cross-utilizing returns, with a common objective of providing enhanced returns.

  • Patent number: 10867349
Abstract: Example embodiments include a method and system for managing intraday risk conditions. Data transaction specific data messages transmitted over a data communications network from a plurality of source nodes trading an article of trade with a plurality of destination nodes are processed. The messages include account parameter information. Intraday risk condition data is associated in memory with entity identification data associated with an entity. Using the entity identification data, account parameter information included in the processed data transaction specific data messages is identified that matches the intraday risk condition data for the entity. In response to an identified match, a data transaction involving the entity submitted via a communication session to a corresponding one of the plurality of destination nodes is modified to reduce intraday risk for the entity associated with the data transaction.
