Abstract: A system configured to determine an insurance premium associated with an account that covers at least one vehicle and at least one driver comprising a computer memory that stores biographical information; a processor that receives information associated with telematics data associated with at least one of the vehicle(s), concerning use of the at least one vehicle(s); the processor further configured to determine discrete segments of use by at least one vehicle(s), and to determine a driver signature associated with each of the discrete segments of use; the processor further configured to generate a driver risk assessment responsive to the at least one of the discrete segments of use; the processor further configured to calculate pricing information based at least in part on the at least one risk assessment and the biographical information; and a transmitter configured to transmit the pricing information to a user device or user transmission device.

Abstract: A client terminal displays a trading screen interface and an annotation interface in relation to the trading screen interface. The annotation interface allows a trader to enter trade-related annotations in a quick and efficient manner or flag a predetermined time and input annotations to be associated with the flagged time a later time, while the trading screen interface allows the trader to make trades at the most favorable prices and in a speedy manner. The annotation interface may alternatively not be displayed and allow for audio input.

Abstract: A system may include a telematics device associated with a vehicle having one or more sensors arranged therein, a first computing device associated with a driver of the vehicle, and a driving behaviors analysis server, comprising hardware including a processor and memory. The driving behaviors analysis server may receive, from the one or more sensors and via the telematics device, driving data of the driver of the vehicle and identify one or more driving behaviors of the driver over a predetermined period of time. The driving behaviors analysis server may then determine one or more of the driving behaviors to be indicative of unsafe driving by the driver. Further, based on the determination of unsafe driving behaviors, the driving behaviors analysis server may transmit, to the first computing device, a message on behalf of an insurance provider, recommending the driver to stop or limit driving.

Abstract: A usage frequency attribute is determined for each biometric feature in a biometric feature database. The usage frequency attribute indicates a matching success frequency of matching the biometric feature to a user having the biometric feature. The biometric features of the user are sorted in descending order of the usage frequency attribute. The sorting is based on a descending order of the usage frequency attributes for a given user. The biometric features in the biometric feature database are stored in descending order. The storing includes providing prioritized access to the biometric feature having a highest value of the usage frequency attribute so that the biometric feature is selected first in response to a request for the biometric feature of the user.

Abstract: Methods, systems and computer-readable storage media disclosed herein provide visual depictions of warnings and errors. An example method includes detecting, using a computing device, a change in a design of a trading algorithm. The trading algorithm is defined by a user-specified arrangement of blocks representing trading functionality. The example method includes determining, using the computing device, whether the trading algorithm complies with a trading algorithm rule. The example method includes facilitating, using the computing device, at least one of warning handling or error handling when the trading algorithm does not comply with the trading algorithm rule. Facilitating warning handling or error handling includes displaying a warning or an error to the user in connection with the trading algorithm before the trading algorithm is available for execution.

Abstract: Reducing an amount of data transactions that are subjected to further review when determining if the data transactions should be approved or rejected. A risk score that defines a first cutoff and a second cutoff are determined. During a first time period, the first and second cutoffs are extended to increase data transactions subject to further review and to create an opportunity group of data transactions not previously approved that are now approved. A rejection rate of the data transactions subject to further review is compared to a threshold. When the rejection rate is no more than the threshold, during a second time period, a volume of the data transactions subject to further review is minimized and a second opportunity group of data transactions not previously approved that are now approved is created. The rejection rate of the data transactions subject to further review are again compared to the threshold.

Abstract: During a device programming technique, a merchant provides account information associated with a smart-card terminal to a portable electronic device (such as a cellular telephone), which is coupled to the smart-card terminal. In response, the portable electronic device provides the account information to a computer remotely located relative to the portable electronic device. Then, the computer provides a merchant identifier and a terminal identifier to the portable electronic device. Next, the portable electronic device provides the merchant identifier and the terminal identifier to the smart-card terminal, thereby facilitating programming of the smart-card terminal.

Abstract: Disclosed are vehicle inspection systems and methods, and more particularly, systems and methods for appraising the damage caused to a vehicle during an accident and in certain embodiments for dispositioning the vehicle from the accident scene. The disclosed appraisal systems can include one or more cameras, scanner and sensors and a computing device. The cameras can be mounted to a recovery vehicle, for example, for taking imagery of the damaged vehicle at an accident scene. The computing device receives the imagery from each camera and/or sensors/scanners and communicates the data and imagery to a remote server for use in a damage assessment.

Abstract: Computer systems for escrowing of selected data of an online tax return preparation application for use in executing models such as predictive models to generate tax return topic rankings, which are provided to the online tax return application and displayed to a user and are personalized in that they reflect or are based on actual tax return data of the user. Escrow system components may operate independently of the online application such that small portions of a very large amount of tax return preparation data can be retrieved (e.g., periodically) from a data store maintained by the online application, and this retrieved data is cached or stored to a different data store and analyzed relative to an escrow contract specifying types of data required to trigger model execution. Upon satisfying escrow contract requirements, a corresponding model is executed, and a topic ranking is generated and provided to the online application.

Abstract: A smart payment device is issued to a user; the device is capable of both offline and online transactions and has a total available balance split. The split is between an available offline balance and an available online balance. It is determined whether the user has entered a primarily offline environment or will imminently enter a primarily offline environment. If this is so, the total available balance split is redistributed to favor offline transactions.

Abstract: A method for managing funds is provided. The method includes receiving a payment vehicle identifier by which a payment vehicle can be identified, the payment vehicle includes an available account balance, transaction details of a purchase transaction, and the transaction details, sending a first amount that is less than or equal to the transaction value if the transaction value does not exceed the available account balance, and sending a second amount that is less than or equal to the first amount. Abstract: An appointment and payment handling system may operate to handle payments for appointments based on user locations at times associated with appointments. The appointment and payment handling system may determine if a location of a customer device associated with a customer associated with an appointment matches a location associated with the appointment. If the locations match, the appointment and payment handling system may create a payment record for a payment to the merchant from the customer based on the determination that the customer location matches the location associated with the appointment.

The processor receives the data sets from the sensors, determines environmental conditions associated with the structures over a period of time, and determines a structural condition associated with one of the structures based on the data sets. The processor also determines a maintenance condition associated with the one of the structures based on one of the data sets, determines operating parameters associated with appliances within the structure based on the one of the data sets, and determines habits of occupants associated with the one of the structures based on the one of the data sets. The processor then adjusts properties of an insurance policy associated with the one of the structures based on the environmental conditions, the structural condition, the maintenance condition, the operating parameters, the habits, or any combination thereof.

Abstract: Method, system and medium for conducting a universal state tax interview. Provided are techniques to implement a universal state tax interview where interview questions can be skipped based on data obtained from any of a variety of federal tax interviews. Tax information and state-specific details can be imported from a tax data file for the taxpayer created based on the federal tax interview. In this way, state-level tax interviews for the taxpayer can be abbreviated or even skipped entirely, regardless of the provider of the software that conducted the federal tax interview.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for purchasing a product from a merchant by a consumer using an electronic device. An association between a transaction identifier and transaction information is stored in a database, the transaction information comprising a merchant identifier, which is associated with merchant information, and a transaction amount. The consumer may purchase the product by having the transaction identifier provided to an application on an electronic device and transmitting the transaction identifier from the application to a transaction processing server. The merchant information and the transaction amount associated with the transaction identifier is transmitted from the transaction processing server to the application and the transaction completed using the application on the basis of the transaction information on the database.

Abstract: A terminal device can receive application for purchase from a user and comprises a prompter, a setter, and a payment processor. As application for purchase is made by a user, the prompter prompts the user to enable near field communication between a transportable device to be used for making a payment of an electronic value that is paid for a price and the portable terminal. As the near field communication between the transportable device and the portable terminal is enabled, the setter sets any of actions to the portable terminal that are detectable by the portable terminal. The prompter presents the set action for the user to perform. As performance of the presented action to the portable terminal is detected, the payment processor receives the payment of an electronic value from an account associated with the transportable device via the near field communication.

Abstract: Case analysis is provided in which costs are associated with case information such as service request data. A description of defect classifications may be defined using keywords and attributes. A database query is generated based on the description of defect classifications to classify case information by problem type to a domain and a component. The description of defect classifications may be applied to a result of the database query to perform problem classification analysis. A cost analysis may be performed by problem group based at least on the case information associated with cost information and the result of the database SQL query.
