  • Patent number: 7509237
Abstract: Disclosed are a test system and a test method using a virtual review based on a captured image of a defect on a substrate. The test system using a virtual review comprises: a test device that takes an image of a defect on an array substrate or color filter substrate to acquire a captured image and provides an information an related to the defect. A main server stores the captured image and the information related to the defect from the test device at a database and transmits them to a review host. The review host determines whether a defect exists on the array substrate or color filter substrate based on the information related to the defect from the main server to yield a determination result and resends the determination result to the main server.

  • Patent number: 7502718
Abstract: Vehicle data detected in a vehicle 10 is transmitted to an information center 12 so as to detect a fault. When detecting generation of the fault, the information center 12 instructs the vehicle to perform a fault identification process. Identification of the fault location is performed while using mutual communication. When the detected fault is one that requires a recovery countermeasure, the information center 12 instructs the vehicle to perform a recovery process. The recovery process is performed while using mutual data communication so as to eliminate the influence of the fault.

  • Patent number: 7502693
Abstract: A spectroscopic identification method and system are provided that uses the primary or main spectroscopic features of a source, such as those as arising from chemical functional groups, to describe and distinguish the source. These primary spectroscopic features make up a portion (i.e., are a subset) of the entire spectroscopic data for a particular source but can nevertheless be used as the basis of separating spectra from multiple source. When analyzing spectroscopic data obtained from a sample for one or more sources, the analysis first focuses on the primary spectroscopic features for a source rather than the entire spectra for a source.

  • Patent number: 7499826
Abstract: A method of estimating a mass of a vehicle. If a yaw rate is smaller than a reference value, a straight direction model algorithm is applied to obtain an estimated mass. If a measured speed and a measured steering angle are larger than reference values, a lateral direction model algorithm is applied to obtain another estimated mass. If a measured vertical acceleration is larger than a reference value, a vertical direction model algorithm is applied to obtain yet another estimated mass. If each of the estimated masses is in an allowable range, and is constant for a given time period, the masses are applied to a recursive least square method, thereby estimating the mass of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7499824
Abstract: System and method for using a graphical user interface (GUI) to generate a measurement task specification (MTS) for performing a measurement task. The measurement task includes measurement and/or signal generation. A measurement task specifier presents a GUI which guides a user in specifying the measurement task. The GUI presents a plurality of GUI elements, e.g., panels, for specifying a plurality of parameters for the measurement task, including measurement type, devices, channels, timing, and/or triggering. The GUI receives user input indicating values for the parameters, and may provide default values for at least some of the parameters. The GUI stores the parameter values in a memory, analyzes the parameter values, and generates the MTS in response to the analyzing. The MTS is then useable to produce a program which implements the measurement task. The specifier may programmatically generate the program, e.g., a graphical program, which is executable to perform the task.

  • Patent number: 7493226
Abstract: The present invention provides a margin testing system, incorporated in an electronic system (e.g., a computer system), that includes a controller, a frequency control module, and a voltage control module, and a fault bypass module. In response to commands from the controller, the frequency control module and/or the voltage control module can set a test clock frequency and/or a test voltage for application to one or more components of the electronic system to elicit system response to these test values. The response of the system at each test value can be monitored, e.g., by executing a diagnostics software, and analyzed. The fault bypass module can mask fault signals during margin testing to ensure that these signals will not disrupt margin testing of the system.

  • Patent number: 7493227
Abstract: A method determines the complex scattering function of a portion of a sample under analysis. The method includes providing a magnitude spectrum of a complex spatial Fourier transform of a complex intermediate function. The complex intermediate function is dependent on the complex scattering function of the sample. The method further includes providing an estimated phase term of the complex spatial Fourier transform. The method further includes multiplying the magnitude spectrum and the estimated phase term together to generate an estimated complex spatial Fourier transform. The method further includes calculating an inverse Fourier transform of the estimated complex spatial Fourier transform. The method further includes calculating an estimated intermediate function by applying at least one constraint to the inverse Fourier transform of the estimated complex spatial Fourier transform.

  • Patent number: 7493236
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments that provide near real-time monitoring of a control application in a manufacturing environment to detect and determine the root cause of faults within the control application. The embodiments monitor the flow of data within the control application during events (i.e., transactions, stages, process steps, etc.). By comparing a dataflow path for a near real-time event with historical dataflow path records, dataflow interruptions (i.e., fails) within the control application can be detected. By determining the location of such a dataflow interruption, the root cause of the control application fail can be determined. Additionally, the invention can generate summary reports indicating the status of the control application. These summary reports can further be generated with drill downs to provide a user with direct access to the records upon which the reports were based.

  • Patent number: 7487068
Abstract: The present invention relates to an interference eliminating method in an adaptive array system, and an array processing device using the interference eliminating method. A predetermined array weight is applied to signals input through respective array elements, and the respective input signals to which the array weight is applied are added to generate an array output signal. Subsequently, the array weight is updated based on the array output signal and a first convergence parameter for unit gain constraint, and the array weight is updated based on the array output signal and a second convergence parameter for null constraint. Since a process for generating the array output signal is repeatedly performed based on the updated array weight, an interference signal is eliminated from the input signal.

  • Patent number: 7487048
Abstract: A technique is proposed to provide an appropriate notification in accordance with the state of occurrence of conveyance errors. The level of maintenance required to normalize a conveying function is determined depending on the number of errors, and a notification is provided by displaying a message to a user or by transmitting a message to a service center depending on the level of maintenance. Since the message to the user indicates a specific content of maintenance to normalize the conveying function, the user can normalize the conveying function by taking appropriate measures. On the other hand, since the message to the service center indicates the required level of maintenance, a service person of the service center can normalize the conveying function by going to a place where a multi-function machine, for example, is installed and repairing the multi-function machine.
