Abstract: A method and apparatus for triggering a transmission carrier reselection procedure for deactivated duplication in a wireless communication is provided. A wireless device selects a first carrier carrying a data unit, and selects a second carrier carrying a duplication of the data unit based on activation of the duplication of the data unit. The wireless device triggers a carrier reselection procedure based on deactivation of the duplication of the data unit.
Abstract: A modular machine learning-as-a-service (MLAAS) system uses machine learning to respond to tasks without requiring machine learning modeling or design knowledge by its users. The MLAAS system receives an inference request including a model identifier and a target defining features for use in processing the inference request. The features correspond to a task for evaluation using a machine learning model associated with the model identifier. An inference outcome is generated by processing the inference request using the target as input to the model. Feedback indicating an accuracy of the inference outcome with respect to the task is later received and used to generate a training data set, which the MLAAS can use to further train model used to generate the inference outcome. As a result, the training of a machine learning model by the MLAAS system is limited to using data resulting from an inference performed using that model.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system that identifies duplicate entities. During operation, the system selects training data for a first machine learning model based on confidence scores representing likelihoods that pairs of entities in an online system are duplicates. Next, the system updates parameters of the first machine learning model based on features and labels in the training data. The system then identifies a first subset of additional pairs of the entities as duplicate entities based on scores generated by the first machine learning model from values of the features for the additional pairs and a first threshold associated with the scores. The system also determines a canonical entity in each of the duplicate entities based on additional features. Finally, the system updates content outputted in a user interface of the online system based on the identified first subset of the additional pairs.

Abstract: According to certain embodiments, a method by a network node (860) for shifting cell borders of multiple frequency bands includes deploying at least two frequency bands. Each of the at least two frequency bands have at least two cells, and each cell have an associated cell coverage area within a common target coverage area. Each of the at least two frequency bands are associated with a respective interference area along a respective cell border, and each interference area is characterized by interference from an adjacent cell. The associated cell coverage area of at least one of the at least two frequency bands is adjusted such that the respective cell border of the at least one of the at least two frequency bands is shifted to reduce a common interference area of the at least two frequency bands. The common interference area is an area where the respective cell borders of the at least two frequency bands overlap.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may map a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) sequence to a first symbol in a set of resource blocks (RBs) of an uplink long burst, and the first symbol may occur at the beginning of the uplink long burst. The DMRS sequence may be “front-loaded” in the uplink long burst. The DMRS sequence may be dependent upon RB locations. When the DMRS sequence is mapped to the beginning of an uplink long burst, uplink control information (UCI) may be mapped in a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). A UE may map UCI in a PUSCH after the DMRS sequence is mapped to the beginning of the uplink long burst. When the base station receives an uplink long burst including the front-loaded DMRS and the UCI mapped in the PUSCH, the base station may identify the DMRS for channel estimation/interference cancelation of the UCI carried on the PUSCH.
