  • Patent number: 11792358
Abstract: A video transmitting circuit and a signal delay compensation method thereof are provided. The video transmitting circuit transmits a specific signal through a first transmission path and a second transmission path to a video receiver during a calibration mode. In the calibration mode, a return detection circuit of the video transmitting circuit detects whether or not a first return signal transmitted through the first transmission path and a second return signal transmitted through the second transmission path have been received by the video transmitting circuit. The video transmitting circuit sets delay circuits serially connected in the first or second transmission path according to a detection result of the return detection circuit, such that the first return signal transmitted through the first transmission path and the second return signal transmitted through the second transmission path can synchronously arrive at the video receiver.

  • Patent number: 11770510
Abstract: A method involves receiving a color video signal having a first frame rate. The color video signal is pre-processed to produce a pre-processed color video stream. The pre-processed color video stream is transformed into a monochromatic sketch stream. The first frame rate of the sketch stream is adapted to a second frame rate in accordance with dynamics of objects in a scene and are encoded to produce an encoded sketch stream. Frame-hints are produced using the pre-processed color video stream and are encoded to produce encoded frame-hints. The encoded sketch stream is multiplexed with the encoded frame-hints and service data to produce multiplexer output data which is transmitted via a communication channel or stored in a data storage system.

  • Patent number: 11756302
Abstract: A communication device provides selective subject-based presentation of a received segmented video feed. A processor receives the video feed from a video presentation session and determines that the video feed is a subject-based segmented video feed having a primary segment within which a primary subject is presented, and at least one secondary segment having at least one secondary subject. The segments can be individually selected for local presentation on a display device. The processor determines a user preference for local viewing options of the video presentation session from among (i) presenting the primary segment and the secondary segment, (ii) presenting only the primary segment, and (iii) presenting one or more of the at least one secondary segments, but not the primary segment. The processor provides a resulting video feed on the display device presenting only content of specific segments of the received video feed that correspond to the user preference.

  • Patent number: 11756300
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and apparatus for summarization of unsupervised video with efficient key frame selection reward functions. Frame-level visual features are extracted from an input video. An attention weight is computed and an importance score is represented as a frame tracking probability for selecting a key frame using the attention weight. A temporal consistency reward function and a representativeness reward function are obtained so as to select the key frame, based on a visual similarity distance and temporal distance between key frames, and an attention-based video summarization network is trained to predict an importance score for selecting a key frame of a video summary by using the temporal consistency reward function and the representativeness reward function.

  • Patent number: 11663892
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a cloud-based video monitoring system comprising a camera and a network video recorder (NVR). During operation, the camera stores in a buffer last predetermined temporal segment of a video. The camera also stores a first video file in a local storage corresponding to an event detected by the camera. This first video file is non-overlapping with a second video file corresponding to the event and this second video file is stored in the NVR. The camera generates a third video file by pre-pending last predetermined temporal segment of a video prior to the event to the first video file and sends the third video file to the NVR.

  • Patent number: 11664053
Abstract: A system and method for simple video editing and playback is disclosed. A platform implementing the described system and method allows users to edit videos including by clipping, combining and annotating, without requiring local video storage. Rather, edited videos are represented by metadata enabling playback of the edited videos directly from embedded video players. Playback directly accesses the original content owners' source files, increasing their video views and watch time, and minimizing risk of inadvertent copyright infringement. A control loop switches between identically located visible and hidden pre-loaded embedded video players in order to present seamless playback. A transparent annotation layer in a substantially identical location as the embedded video players allows for annotations to be mapped onto video playback.

  • Patent number: 11594258
Abstract: Described herein is a method and system for automated, context sensitive and non-intrusive insertion of consumer-adaptive content in video. It assesses ‘context’ in the video that a consumer is viewing through multiple modalities and metadata about the video. The method and system described herein analyzes relevance for a consumer based on multiple factors such as the profile information of the end-user, history of the content, social media and consumer interests and professional or educational background, through patterns from multiple sources. The system also implements local-context through search techniques for localizing sufficiently large, homogenous regions in the image that do not obfuscate protagonists or objects in focus but are viable candidate regions for insertion for the intended content. This makes relevant, curated content available to a user in the most effortless manner without hampering the viewing experience of the main video.
