Abstract: According to some embodiments, a method and system provides receiving a list of a plurality of conversations, each of the conversations associated with a common set of characteristics and each of the conversations having associated conversation details; presenting at least a portion of the list of the plurality of conversations in a user interface, each of the conversations included in the presented portion of the list being separately represented; receiving a selection of a plurality of the conversations included in the presented portion of the list; and presenting, simultaneously and grouped together in the user interface, conversation details associated with each of the selected plurality of the conversations, separate and apart from the presented portion of the list.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are representative embodiments of three-dimensional icons that can be used to display a wide variety of information in an efficient manner and that can effectively organize a large number of applications on the display of a computing device (e.g., on the display of a mobile device). In one exemplary embodiment disclosed herein, an icon is associated with one or more applications, and a first panel of the icon is displayed. An update to the first application is received. Based on the update to the first application, the icon is rotated in three dimensions and a second panel of the icon is displayed with an indication of the update to the application.

Abstract: Users scanning listings of items are able to easily and quickly read each item in a list without actually leaving the list, as would be the case when following a regular hypertext link. The contents of each link are displayed in a separate, smaller viewing window that maintains a stable position and is of a size appropriate for viewing both the contents of the window and the list of items at the same time. The viewing window is activated via selection of an icon associated with an item in the list (each item preferably has at least one associated icon). This icon also is used to navigate the content of each link.

Abstract: Networking systems and methods for efficiently facilitating interactions between subscribers using customized action cards are disclosed. A networking system can comprise a communication unit, a customization unit, and an action unit. The communication unit can transmit data embodying communications between a server and a plurality of client computers operated by subscribers of the networking system. The customization unit can enable a current user to categorize other subscribers and to select action indicators associated with an action card template for each subscriber category. The selected action indicators can vary across subscriber categories, resulting in a different action card template for each category. Action cards of other subscribers are displayed to the current user based on their applicable action card templates.

Abstract: Described herein are devices, method and computer readable media that allow a device to display a portion of a web page on the touch screen display with concurrently displaying a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) entry area for inputting URLs of web pages, wherein the web page has a web page length, and the displayed portion of the web page has a displayed portion length that is less than the web page length. In response to detecting a gesture on the touch screen display, the device translates the web page in accordance with the gesture to display a different portion of the web page; and ceases to display the URL entry area for inputting URLs of web pages.

Abstract: The on-boarding framework consolidates and ensures consistent implementation of business compliance with regulatory policy across a global business that is required to comply with regulations of international, regional, country specific, local jurisdictions, or the like. The on-boarding framework facilitates the work flow, approvals, documents, reporting, and other information using dynamic rules that dictate the on-boarding elements based on customer type, booking entity, location of the authorized approval, special products, data collected, and the like, which are used to dynamically evaluate the client's on-boarding potential regulatory issues, and the actions used to mitigate potential regulatory issues with the entity being on-boarded.

Abstract: A user interface displays visual representations of user interaction with a series of nodes in a defined pipeline. The pipeline includes several nodes in a defined order with a starting node and an ending node. Each of the nodes is represented by a symbol, such as a circle, with elements, such as arrows, showing the movement of users to and from the respective nodes. User movement to a node outside of the pipeline nodes may also be shown with arrows or other elements. In some implementations such as web analytics, the nodes may be webpages and the users may be viewers who browse from one page to the next. One illustrative pipeline may be a series of webpages that a viewer interacts with in order to complete an online purchase.

Abstract: Systems, methods and circuits for providing GUI controls with touch-gesture inputs with movable alternate interaction objects. The GUI controls include (i) a set of base interactions associated with touch gestures available over substantially an entire viewing area and (ii) a plurality of alternate interaction icons that are individually movable over the display via touch gestures by a user touch to allow one or more users to interact with the visualization presented on the display. The alternate interaction icons each have a set of alternate interaction choices that are different from the set of base interactions and appear on the display only when a selected respective alternate interaction icon is touched.

Abstract: This disclosure details the implementation of apparatuses, methods, and systems for a portable, image-processing transmitter. The transmitter provides a platform capable of managing, manipulating, storing, and transmitting digital media files across a wide array of transmission means and protocols. In one embodiment, the transmitter may be employed by photographers, photojournalists, and/or the like to rapidly process, edit, and send photographs or video to multiple news agencies, newspapers, magazines, television studios, websites, and/or the like while maintaining control over their photographs by allowing them to send reduced quality and watermarked proofs. The transmitter may be configured to allow users to first generate and transmit low-resolution preview images, thereby saving on transmission time and resources, and only send full resolution versions once approvals of the preview versions are received.

Abstract: The present application relates to a multi-dimensional icon that includes a plurality of panels linked together in a user-configurable structure. Based on user input, such as a flick or other gesture, the multi-dimensional icon can rotate to the next of a series of linked panels. In one embodiment, each linked panel can also have functionality or content associated therewith that is customizable by the user. For example, the user can select the panel to launch an application, a web page, or view content (e.g., a photo). In another embodiment, data can also be associated with a panel so that if the user selects the panel, an application can be launched or a website opened, using the data as a customization parameter.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes determining focus on a focus item associated with a controllable item. The focus item is displayed on an interface that includes a plurality of display positions. A context for the controllable item based on the focus being on the focus item and a set of controllable attributes associated with the controllable item are determined. The method dynamically determines an order of the set of controllable attributes based on the context. The context is used to prioritize the set of controllable attributes in the order. The set of controllable attributes is displayed in the order in at least a portion of the plurality of display positions.

Abstract: Described is a method and system a unified mechanism for storing device, application, and service state, as well as a rich notification brokerage architecture. Clients register with a notification broker to receive notifications for changes to state properties. When a registered state property changes, a notification broker determines which clients to notify of the state change and provides the client with a notification regarding the change. Clients may be notified whenever a state changes, when a state change meets a predetermined condition, or based on a schedule. An application may also be launched in response to a state change. An application programming interface (API) is provided that provides a unified way of accessing state change information across different components within the device.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to a computer-implemented method for graphically displaying or presenting a fisheye-based view of a large data list on the limited content viewing area of a mobile device. At least a subset of data rows within the data list and graphical representations of a plurality of data fields of at least the subset of data rows are generated and graphically displayed using a graphical user interface of the mobile device. When a user selects a focus row from the displayed data rows, a fisheye-based view of the selected focus row is presented. The fisheye-based view and the graphical representations of the data fields provide the user with a focus-plus-context view of a large data list. Further, the graphical representations provide the user with meaningful information even when particular data items are too small to read specific values.

Abstract: User input is received to create a bookmark in a web browser for a non-feed Uniform Resource Locator (URL). A web feed associated with the non-feed URL is determined. A subscription to the web feed is automatically created. An indication of new web content is received from the web feed. The bookmark for the non-feed URL is decorated to provide a visual indication of the new web content.

Abstract: A technique is provided for configuring an interface device. Individual device elements are stored on the interface device and each element includes a functionality and a visual representation. A general purpose engine resident on the interface device enumerates properties of the device elements in response to a query in a design-time environment. Design-time environment may be served to a general purpose computer working as a configuration station. The general purpose engine is independent of the device elements enumerated. A user viewable screen is then generated for viewing in the design-time environment, with the potential for altering properties of the enumerated device elements. The viewable screen and design-time environment may be displayed in a general purpose viewer or browser by collecting the visual representations associated with the device elements.
