Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure presents a method and apparatus for generating a customized visualization component. A specific embodiment of the method comprises: determining, in response to receiving a creation instruction for instructing to create a customized visualization component, a visualization instance presented on a current component editing page based on the received creation instruction; determining an initial visualization component corresponding to the visualization instance and a user setting parameter set by a user for the visualization instance; and uploading a creation request for the customized visualization component to a server to enable the server to generate the customized visualization component based on the initial visualization component and the user setting parameter, the creation request including identifier information of the initial visualization component and the user setting parameter.

Abstract: A user data visualization and parsing system may receive from a user a selection of a first data item from a data set, the data item associated with a location identifier. The data visualization and parsing system may extract a first value of the first data item associated with the location identifier and identify, in a second data set of the data stream, a second data item associated with the location identifier. The system may extract a second value of the second data item associated with the location identifier, generate a visual representation of the first and second values, and display the visual representation to the user through the user interface.

Abstract: An electronic device displays a messaging user interface on the display, the messaging user interface including a conversation transcript of a messaging session between a user of the electronic device and at least one other user. The device receives a first message within the messaging session from an electronic device that corresponds to another user included in the messaging session; in response to receiving the first message, the device displays the first message in a first message region in the conversation transcript on the display. The device detects a first input by a first contact at a location on the touch-sensitive surface that corresponds to a location of the first message region in the conversation transcript; in response to detecting the first input, the device displays an acknowledgement selection affordance at a location in the messaging interface that corresponds to the first message region. The acknowledgement selection affordance displays a plurality of acknowledgement options.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product for dynamically grouping browser tabs in a web browser user interface is described. The web page content of a plurality of open web page tabs in a web browser displayed on a display of a computer are analyzed. Sets of tab group criteria, each set of tab group criteria for a respective tab group and based on user intent are used to evaluate the web page content. Based on the analyzing, which ones of the plurality of open web page tabs respectively satisfy a set of tab group criteria are determined. The plurality of open web page tabs is grouped into respective tab groups based on the determination. The tab groups are presented in the web browser display. Each tab group display contains tabs representing a subset of the plurality of open web page tabs which satisfy a respective set of tab group criteria.

Abstract: The claimed subject matter relates to an architecture that can provide for a second-person avatar. The second-person avatar can rely upon a second-person-based perspective such that the avatar is displayed to appear to encompass all or portions of a target user. Accordingly, actions or a configuration of the avatar can serve as a model or demonstration for the user in order to aid the user in accomplishing a particular task. Updates to avatar activity or configuration can be provided by a dynamic virtual handbook. The virtual handbook can be constructed based upon a set of instruction associated with accomplishing the desired task and further based upon features or aspects of the user as well as those of the local environment.

Abstract: System and method for aiding communication for subjects suffering from paralysis of muscles controlled by peripheral nervous system are disclosed. A method for aiding communication for said subjects includes capturing, from a plurality of sensors, sensor data generated based on an interaction of a subject with an interactive UI. The plurality of sensors includes one or more body-parts movement tracking sensors for tracking motion of body-parts of the subject and one or more physiological signal sensors for monitoring physiological signals generated from the subject during the interaction. A plurality of model parameters indicative of characteristics of the subject related to the interaction are determined based on the sensor data. The navigation at the interactive UI is controlled on the plurality of model parameters.

Abstract: A control method based on screen-off gestures, storage medium and a mobile terminal thereof are disclosed. A first screen-off gesture can be acquired when a display screen is in a screen-off state, and a corresponding first target application can be determined according to the first screen-off gesture. When it is detected that a split-screen event is triggered, a second screen-off gesture can be acquired, and a corresponding second target application can be determined according to the second screen-off gesture. The display screen can be waked up, and the first target application and the second target application can be opened in a split-screen mode.

Abstract: Systems and methods for collecting multiple forms of digital content using a single landing screen may include (1) receiving, via a social media application installed on a user device, user input that triggers a composition creation process, (2) providing, via a display element of the user device, a composition landing screen with multiple landing spaces (e.g., a media space, a text space, and a metadata space), (3) receiving, from the composition landing screen, user content submitted to one or more of the landing spaces, and (4) creating a social media composition based at least in part on the user content received from the composition landing screen. The artificial reality system includes an image capture device, a head-mounted display (HMD), a user interface (UI) engine, and a rendering engine. The image capture device is configured to capture image data representative of a physical environment. The HMD is configured to output artificial reality content including a representation of a wrist. The rendering engine configured to render a user interface (UI) element. The gesture detector configured to identify a gesture that includes a gripping motion of two or more digits of a hand to form a gripping configuration at the location of the UI element, and a pulling motion away from the wrist while in the gripping configuration.

Abstract: Techniques for content customization with security for client preferences are described herein. The techniques describe the customization of content provided by websites according to preferences, such as the interests, “likes” and demographic and/or geographic information of users. Additional techniques describe aspects of keeping the users' preferences secure from the website, so that the users' privacy and anonymity are protected. In one implementation, a “trusted entity” is trusted by users to obtain and store the preferences. Content may be obtained by the trusted entity from a content provider, such as a website. The content may be changed according to the preferences. The content is then provided to the users. In view of the changes made by the trusted entity, the user enjoys a customized version of the content. Additional techniques describe limits to customization, based on permissible customizations and frameworks generated by the content providers.

Abstract: Provided is an information processing system including an output control unit that controls a display output unit in a manner that a display object indicating a sequential passage of time is displayed. The display object indicates a playback position of content, the display object including a plurality of areas corresponding to a plurality of pieces of the content. The present technology enables a user to intuitively perceive the relationship between the plurality of pieces of content and the piece of content that is currently being played back.

Abstract: Files are mirrored between a desktop device and a mobile device in a seamless manner so that a user may work on the mirrored files on either device without having to save or send files beforehand. The user may interact with a mirrored file on a desktop, physically leave the desktop, and take a mobile device that has the mirrored file with him or her and continue interacting with the file.

Abstract: Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for replaying interactions with a graphical user interface (GUI) presented in a video stream of the GUI. Interaction with a rendered graphical user interface (GUI) to control an application is recorded to generate a video stream. In response to activation of a graphical element in the rendered GUI, an event action is rendered indicating a display region in which the graphical element was activated and a section of the video stream in which the activation of the graphical element occurred. The video stream is rendered. Selection is detected of a display region of the rendered video stream comprising the display region in the event action. The section of the video stream indicated in the event action is rendered in response to the selection of the display region indicated in the event action.

Abstract: An electronic device displays a messaging user interface on the display, the messaging user interface including: a conversation transcript of a messaging session between a user of the electronic device and at least one other user, and a message-input area that includes a first message input. While displaying the messaging user interface, the device detects a first input by a first contact at a location on the touch-sensitive surface that corresponds to a location in the message-input area; in response to detecting the first input by the first contact, the device display an impact selection interface that includes a plurality of impact effect options.

Abstract: A method and system for improving a hyper-video navigational process is provided. The method includes automatically tracking user exploration paths of users within a hyper video space comprising a video stream. Hotspot video frames are extracted from the hyper video space. Conversations associated with the user interactions are linked with spatial temporal regions of the hotspot video frames. Common attributes of the user exploration paths are associated with common aspects of the conversations and specified user view personas of the video stream are detected. Visual trajectory paths are extracted and a particular user persona is assigned to the hyper video space. In response, the hyper video space is automatically navigated.
