The terminal device includes a print instruction receiving unit that receives the print instruction data transmitted from the server via a first communication interface, a print job generation unit that generates print job data indicating a print job to be executed by the specific printer, by using the print instruction data, and a print job transmission unit that transmits the print job data to the specific printer via a second communication interface.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for the sending, delivery and receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at a user's site, and a faxing system that may be deployed remotely from the user's site. The fax connector can be accessed at the user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at the user's site communicates with the remotely deployed faxing system to send, receive, obtain status on, or perform other functions associated with, faxing.

Abstract: A color management system for a printing system includes a fleet color management service that manages color calibration for printing devices. Calibration target print jobs are sent to the printing devices within a group. The calibration target print jobs are measured to capture color printing data. The measured data is uploaded to the fleet color management service, which determines color printing parameters for the group, including an aggregate maximum end point target. The fleet color management service generates a tone reproduction curve for all of the printing devices based on the color printing parameters. Validation of the color printing capabilities are performed using a validation set of the printing devices to determine the validation set printing devices can meet the aggregate maximum end point target.

Abstract: Methods relating generally to printing to a medium with a printer are disclosed. In one such method, a plurality of objects (“the objects”) for a tile is received. An object count for each object type of the objects is counted. A tile-reuse count is initialized. A tile object associated with the objects is generated. Tile area data for the tile, tiling area data for a tiling area, and bounding region data for a bounding region are received. A check is performed for the tile area data having at least one dimension exceeding a corresponding bounding region dimension of the bounding region data. It is determined that the tiling area data does have at least one dimension exceeding the bounding region dimension. Responsive to the determining the tiling area data does have at least one dimension exceeding the bounding region dimension, a template for the tile is generated for non-overlapping tiling.

In one example, a system comprises a hosting system to enhance a 3D printing service marketplace environment including marketplace participants and a federated network of 3D printing service providers. In one aspect, operations include receiving a 3D printing request to print a 3D object selected from among a selection of 3D objects, responsive to the 3D printing request and the 3D object selected from among the selection of 3D objects, listing at least some of the 3D printing service providers based on a 3D printer identifier metric, wherein the 3D printer identifier metric includes one or more of a 3D printing quality metric, a 3D printer model number, a 3D printer serial number, and a 3D digital model type. The operations further include receiving a selection of a preferred 3D printing service provider from among the list of at least some of the 3D printing service providers.

The system also includes an intrusion detection controller configured to detect a presence of a person in an operating space of the printer based on image data, to analyze the image data to detect one or more characteristics of the person, to determine an operator class for the person based on a match of the detected characteristics of the person with the personnel identification data stored in the memory, and to monitor adherence to maintenance permissions by the person in a plurality of physical areas of the printer based on the operator class of the person.
