The printing apparatus can update print adjustment information linked with the sheet information in accordance with a request from a sheet management application executed by an external apparatus. The printing apparatus includes a unit configured to retain information about the external apparatus executing the sheet management application. The unit is configured to simultaneously retain information about multiple external apparatuses. The external apparatus includes a display configured to display information and a unit configured to cause the display to display an execution screen of the sheet management application.

Abstract: A method and system for recommending a transaction to replace a target device by calculating a total cost of ownership based upon actual device usage data. Based, at least in part, on the TCO for the target device, a recommendation is provided to replace the target device with a replacement device that has a lower TCO than the target device, or a TCO difference compared to the TCO of the target device that is within a predefined range.

Abstract: A print control apparatus receives a print job from an external apparatus. In a case where attribute information for performing processing for each set, the set being composed of one or more pages included in a print job, is included in the received print job, the print control apparatus extracts print data, which is to be used for outputting of one set of printed product, from the received print job based on the attribute information. Moreover, the print control apparatus stores, in a storage area, data including the extracted print data to be used for outputting of one set of printed product and a number of copies derived based on at least the attribute information.

Abstract: A sheet management system, in which a print control apparatus and an image forming apparatus are configured to communicate with each other, includes a selection unit, an adjustment unit, a confirmation unit, and a setting unit. The selection unit selects a sheet feeding deck. The adjustment unit adjusts sheet information including setting values for performing print processing on a sheet to be used for printing. The confirmation unit confirms. Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a two-phase printing process that utilizes page-to-resource tracking during the first rip-to-spool phase in order to perform resource scheduling during the second print-from-spool phase. In one embodiment, compute nodes include a RIP and a raster builder. A controller receives a print job, identifies a distribution of logical pages in the print job to the compute nodes, and generates page assignment information that maps the logical pages to the compute nodes based on the distribution. The compute nodes rasterize the logical pages to generate intermediate data using the RIPs, and store the intermediate raster data at a RIP spool. The controller directs a distribution of the intermediate raster data from the RIP spool to the compute nodes based on the page assignment information, and the compute nodes assemble the intermediate raster data into complete raster data using the raster builders.

The user provides one or more choice inputs corresponding to the choice options. Then, the choice inputs provided by the user are received. One or more files are automatically identified and automatically selected based on the choice inputs by searching in the plurality of files. The one or more automatically selected files along with other non-selected files present in the folder are displayed. The user is prompted to confirm the automatically selected files for printing. Upon confirmation, the automatically selected files are sent for printing.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus perform operations. An inclination-corrected document image is acquired by executing detection of a document area from a scanned image, extraction of a document image corresponding to the detected document area from the scanned image and correction of an extracted document image inclination. An output size is designated to be used when an image of a repeat target area is printed out. The output size is designated based on a user instruction. A repeat target area is set based on the acquired inclination-corrected document image and the designated output size. An image inside the set repeat target area is scaled up/down such that the image has the output size, and the image is repeatedly laid out within a designated sheet size to create an output image subsequent to repeat layout processing. Print processing is executed by using the output image subsequent to the repeat layout processing.
