Abstract: The major feature of the invention is its continuous pendulous movement whether the vehicle is in motion or not, because it is so light in weight that even a breeze would cause it to move, thus causing it to reflect the light whether at night or during the day from different angles.A further feature of the invention resides in a safety signal device which is novel in construction, inexpensive in manufacturing, resistant, colorful, decorative and easy to install upon a vehicle and which is efficient in operation.

Abstract: A foldable stadium seat (10) is disclosed which is manufactured from a pair of first and second generally planar seat members (11) and (12), which are both products of the same mold. This is made possible by a specific configuration of hinges wherein a first hinge half of a first hinge is attached at one end of the rear edge of the seat member and a second hinge half of a second hinge is positioned at a second end of the rear edge of the seat member. Each of the hinge halves are positioned along the rear edge such that when the rear edge of a second seat member is placed juxtaposition the rear edge of the first seat member, the hinge halves on the two seat members will interfit and can be engaged by a suitable hinge pin (14). Radial stops are formed along the rear edge of both seat members (11) and (12) to provide a radial stop for the foldable single mold stadium seat (10) when it is in the open position, having a first and second seat members (11) and (12) generally perpendicular to one another.

Abstract: A frame, including a plurality of frame elements 1 and at least one connecting corner element 5 on which the frame elements 1 are mounted in intersected relation, is provided to form a readily accessed enclosure to accommodate therein an article, a glass plate to allow viewing of the article, a backing plate at the rear and an illumination louver. At least one of the frame elements 1 is mounted to the connecting corner element 5 for relative angular movement therebetween, to facilitate easy opening of the enclosure and access to the space defined therein.

Abstract: Waves are imparted to liquids of different specific gravities having an ornament floating therein by a movable diaphragm provided with a magnet alternatively exposed to additional magnets of different polarities to alternatively attract and repulse the magnet, thereby causing the diaphragm to create waves in the liquids.

Abstract: A line-guide advancement mechanism for copyholders of the type for holding a document containing information to be transcribed and containing a linearly moveable line-guide for highlighting individual lines of information. The line-guide advancement unit is structured to be able to fixably attach to an existing copyholder (10) and a line-guide (46). The unit contains a drive mechanism (12) and an operator's foot pedal (20) which provide step-wise movement to the line-guide (46). The drive mechanism (12) can be adjusted via a knob (36) and vernier scale (74) to provide a wide range of spacings in the movement of the line-guide.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an infant rocking device comprising a rocking frame (3) and a stretching frame (11) for stretching a sheet adapted to accommodate an infant, the stretching frame (11) being pivotally mounted on the rocking frame (3) by means of at least two detachable couplers (21) of which at least one is respectively arranged at each longitudinal side of the rocking device in the respective area of a free end of the rocking frame (3), and the couplers (21) being formed of positive or interlocking elements adapted to be engaged and disengaged. The rocking device is characterized in that each of the couplers (21) also comprises a clamping sleeve (25) which is adapted to be clamped onto the associated free end (9) of the rocking frame (3) and is thus attachable in a position securing way.

Abstract: An auto license plate's illumination structure comprising a main cover transparent and engaged to license plate, a light source cover opaque and engaged to main cover's upper part and a few lighting installations to be hidden inside the light source cover. The main cover's inner wall is provided with a pattern of some decorative figures formed by many recessions in cross direction and parallelism. Of recession, the side wall which relatively close to light source is angled 45 degrees, and its remaining one at 90 or any other appropriate degrees. As passing main cover's inner wall, the lights of transmission from hidden light sources on one side will thus make an internal total reflection and shoot out from its outer wall, thereby illuminating license plate and, in particular, its decorative figures with the most brightness.

Abstract: A device for storage and display of photographs consisting of a housing with front frame and a spindle containing photo envelopes supported mid-way across the front frame. The spindle is formed in unique manner to carry a large plurality of photo envelopes by heat welding each envelope to the spindle in close spacing. Each envelope contains two photos back-to-back, and rotation, either manually or motor controlled, indexes intermittent display of the successive photos with two photos always in view in the frame.

Abstract: A lighted display sign with a moulded base having a channel forming a character, an electrical means for exciting a neon gas in the channel to emit light, electrical contacts extending from the base to connect to a power source and a second pair of electrical contacts extending from the base to connect to a second display sign.

Abstract: A multi-purpose pin which supports jewelry and clothing accessories to the clothing, hat or hair of a wearer. The multi-purpose pin comprises a hoop with fastening means for attaching to the clothing of a wearer. A bar divides the interior portion of the hoop into a plurality of areas, through which a clothing accessory passes to wrap around the bar, thereby securing the clothing accessory to the pin. The bar may include a horizontal and a vertical passage therethrough for supporting jewelry accessories. A plurality of bars may be provided to alter the manner in which the clothing accessory is secured to the pin. A pair of hoops may be provided to define a circumferential groove around the pin for wrapping the clothing accessory. The multi-purpose pin may be used with or without backing, or with a decorative top as an independent jewelry item.

Abstract: An indicia display device is disclosed together with several processes for forming the device from a single piece of paper stock. The device includes a freely rotatable pivotless wheel element having indicia fixed thereon, a circular pocket for pivotlessly and rotatably containing the rotatable wheel element in the circular pocket, a viewing opening through which indicia on the wheel element are selectively visible, and a support guide along the perimeter of the circular pocket which abuts and guides the rotatable wheel element during rotation.

Abstract: A chair control mechanism of the type having a seat support member pivotally mounted on a leg mounting member, and a spring loaded adjustment mechanism for controlling the pivotal movement of one member with respect to the other. The adjustment mechanism includes a handle mounted on an adjustment screw for movement therealong to compress or allow extension of the compression spring. A nut is threadedly mounted on the adjustment screw and serves to retain the members, adjustment screw and spring in an assembled configuration during shipping to and assembly of a chair by a chair manufacturer. A hand wheel is provided for attachment to the nut after the control mechanism has been assembled and installed in a chair. The hand wheel has a body of plastics material in which a seat formed which is proportioned to accommodate and adapted to cooperate with the nut such that when the nut is seated therein, rotation of the hand wheel will cause rotation of the nut with respect to the adjustment screw.

Abstract: A lenticular or segmented sign for selectively viewing at least two separate images includes an image panel having at least two image fields subdivided into segments grouped in interleaved fields. A lens panel is provided by discrete and relatively movable lens elements carried on a facer panel, the lens elements including two or more lenses and being resiliently fixed to the facer panel at the top, adjacent lens elements being free to move relative to one another along their lengths. The lenses are preferably elongated vertical or horizontal strips attached to a transparent facer panel by hook or spring fasteners which engage in connectors by which adjacent lenses are attached together to form a lens element. The lens elements have spacer posts for positioning the lenses at the correct focal distance from the image strips.

Abstract: A stand for displaying rectangular shaped computer keyboard function key guides. The stand includes a tubular, open ended sheath preferably having three rectangular shaped, transparent sides. The guides may be selectively inserted into or removed from the interior of the sheath such that the function information printed on the key guides may be viewed through the transparent sides. A cardboard backing substantially conforming to the shape of the interior of the sheath is selectively disposed within the sheath and is adapted to maintain each key guide in an abutting relation against the interior surface of an associated one of the sides. Additional key guides may be stored within the interior of the sheath.

Abstract: A display plate preferably employable for an automotive vehicle for the purpose of displaying a certain name or providing a decorative effect is disclosed. The display plate includes a main body to be secured to a vehicle body of the automotive vehicle. A transparent base plate molded of transparent resin material is received in a cavity of the main body. A plurality of half mirrors corresponding to a content to be displayed are formed on the transparent base plate. A prism plate is disposed behind the transparent base plate and a plurality of light reflecting layers each comprising a number of dots or lines are formed on the prism plate. A color filter is interposed between the transparent base plate and the prism plate to scatter light therefrom. To generate light to be emitted from the front surface of the transparent base plate, a lamp is received in a cavity of the prism plate. A light density per unit area on each light reflective layer increases more and more as a distance from the lamp increases.

Abstract: A laminate artwork system includes a plurality of stacked, uniformly spaced light transmitting artwork panels, each having a portion of an overall artwork image etched thereon. The artwork panels are generally rectangular and have aligned edges positioned within a frame. The frame houses fluorescent lamps generally adjacent to and extending the length of the panel edges, and includes an inner reflective surface which directs substantially all of the emitted light towards the panel edges. Disposed between the lamp and the panel edges are a plurailty of color filters and shutters which control the transmission and intensity of light permitted to pass therethrough to the edges. The shutters comprise liquid crystal gates responsive to an input signal, which are modulated to allow a varied amount of light to pass through so that different levels of brightness and/or color of the artwork image may be obtained.

Abstract: A multifaced dispaly apparatus having four flexible display panels detachably connected at their ends to form a continuous display web. A frame includes two windows to simultaneously display two of the display panels. A roller mechanism includes a plurality of rollers, each roller parallel with the others and arranged so that the display web travels about the rollers and the panels are sequentially brought into alignment with the windows. A tensioning mechanism retains the continuous display web in a taut position. A drive mechanism is detachably secured to the display panels in order to move the continuous display web about the rollers. A control mechanism controls the drive mechanism and sequentially moves the display panels into and out of windows.

Abstract: A wall mounted frame is disclosed herein for insertably receiving and holding a picture including protective sheets such as glass and cardboard backing which includes top and bottom members joined by side members so as to define a display space or area intended to be occupied by the picture. The members include a continuous slot engageable with the edge marginal region of the protective sheets while the slot of the top member is open for slidably passing the picture and protective sheets into and out of the frame. A mounting bar is secured to the back of the frame extending across the display space or area between the opposite side members. The bar is provided a central mounting open for receiving a wall mounting nail, screw or the like and an off-center opening is provided for receiving a lateral stabilizing fastener.

Abstract: A knock-down chair back bracket assembly allows for removably securing a chair or sofa back to a chair or sofa base. The bracket assembly comprises a pair of matingly tapered interfitting brackets, one of which attaches to a base of a piece of seating furniture and the other of which attaches to a side of a back of a piece of seating furniture. The base mounting bracket has a pin at an upper end which is cooperable with a double cam lock lever pivoted to an upper end of the back slide bracket. The double cam lock lever has two cam surfaces one of which cams the mounting and slide brackets into fixed engagement and the other of which cams the brackets out of fixed engagement.

Abstract: A reclining chair has a seat back and a seat bottom which are pivotally attached to opposite ends of a rocking cradle or support frame, which itself is pivotally mounted to a base. The seat back and the seat bottom are interconnected such that an end of the seat bottom proximate to the seat back is raised as the seat back is lowered. Conversely, as the end of the seat bottom proximate to the seat back is lowered, the seat back is raised. The opposite or remote end of the seat bottom is maintained at substantially the same elevation as the end of the seat bottom proximate the seat back, whereby the seat bottom is maintained in a substantially constant orientation relative to the horizontal as it is raised and lowered.
