Abstract: A board-mount electrical connector capable of maintaining favorable solderability of a connecting section of a terminal for a long term and preventing occurrence of a whisker in a bent section of the terminal is provided. The electrical connector includes a plurality of terminals each having at one end a contact section which contacts a mating contact and having, at the other end, a connecting section which connects to a circuit board. A bent section is located in a middle portion between the contact section and the connecting section. An insulating housing holds the plurality of terminals. On each terminal, a bright tin-plated layer and a semi-bright tin plated layer are formed on respective surfaces of the contact section and the connecting section leaving the surface of the middle portion unplated by tin such that the semi-bright tin-plated layer is thicker than the bright tin-plated layer.
Abstract: An adapter having a housing, a ground clip and an adapter subassembly all located in the housing. The adapter subassembly includes a proximal portion that can be coupled to a coaxial connector and a distal portion that can be coupled to a printed circuit board. A central conductor in the form of an elongated shaft that runs through the subassembly and has a ball contact end for contacting a conductor located on a printed circuit board and the elongated shaft is tapered in a region near the ball contact.

Abstract: A low profile connector (1) includes an insulative housing (2) having an opening (221) surrounded by an upper wall (20), a lower wall (21), a pair of opposed side walls (23) and a back wall (24). A plurality of contacts (3) is assembled with the back wall for being fastened with the housing. The back wall defines at least one protrusion (25) extending into the opening. The protrusion is dissymmetrical about a plane perpendicular to the back wall.

Abstract: An electromagnetic relay is provided which allows free design of arrangements of each external connecting terminal and is capable of effectively dissipating heat from a base and suppressing a rise in temperatures within the electromagnetic relay. The electro-magnetic relay includes a core, a coil, a yoke, an armature, an electromagnetic block made up of a movable spring having a movable contact mechanically coupled to the armature, a pair of fixed contacts made up of an ordinarily closed fixed contact and an ordinarily opened fixed contact both being contacted with the movable contact, a group of external connecting terminals, a base, and an armored cover, wherein the movable spring and the yoke make up part of a current-carrying path, and a yoke extended portion is in direct mechanical contact with the movable contact external connecting terminal and the ordinarily closed fixed contact is mechanically coupled to an ordinarily closed fixed contact external connecting terminal.

Abstract: An electronic-component connector forms a secure detachable connection and is packaged in a small space even when the electronic component is a module that is linked to an optical waveguide, and transmits and receives a signal such as an optical signal via the transfer member. An optical waveguide extends from a first side of a module connected to the connector. The connector body of the electronic-component connector has an open portion for accommodating a module inserted from the open side. A socket contact portion for contacting a connection terminal of the module is provided to the open portion. A lead-out path is formed in the shape of a groove in the connector body communicated with the open portion, and leads out the optical waveguide from the connector body. A cover member is attached to the connector body so as to open, close, and secure the module inside the open portion.
Abstract: A fixing device for an extension card having a bracket with a bent portion has a casing and a metal pressing member. The casing has a support portion. The metal pressing member has a longitudinal bottom plate, a pivotal structure, and a resilient latching structure. The pivotal structure is pivotally connected to the casing. The bent portion of the bracket of the extension card is placed on the support portion of the casing. The longitudinal bottom plate of the metal pressing member presses on the bent portion. The resilient latching structure of the metal pressing member detachably latches onto the casing. As a result, the extension card is capable of being retained in or dismounted from the casing easily and quickly.
Abstract: A memory card connector has an insulative frame receiving conductive terminals therein, a slide guiding mechanism assembled on the insulative frame, and a shell. The slide guiding mechanism includes a sliding bar, a guiding bar, and a resilient element. The sliding bar defines a guiding groove. A link portion is formed on an end of the sliding bar. A driving member is arranged at an end of the sliding bar and opposite the link portion, and has a pushing portion and a drawing portion. A driven member has a pushed portion and a drawn portion. The driven member cooperates with a stop member to control stopping of a member card. The slide guiding mechanism further includes a first conductor and a second conductor respectively communicating with ends of a detecting circuit of a circuit system for detecting ejection of the memory card at the earliest time.
Abstract: An apparatus for remotely releasing a connector, e.g., an RJ-45 connector, is described. Embodiments of the invention allow a user to release a cable comprising a connector from a connector jack when the connector jack is difficult to reach. The invention may be particularly useful to release cables from devices comprising an array of connector jacks.

Abstract: A PGA socket including a plurality of sub-socket components, which when used in combination forms a larger effective socket, includes multiple apertures configured to receive corresponding pins of an IC. The PGA socket further includes multiple contact members, each of the contact members corresponding to a respective one of the apertures. The contact members are configured to movably engage corresponding pins of the IC upon respective movement of the apertures so as to provide electrical and mechanical contact thereto. Each of the sub-socket components is configured to mechanically engage at least one of the other sub-socket components such that the contact members in each of the sub-socket components are capable of electrically connecting to corresponding pins of the IC substantially simultaneously.

Abstract: An internal seizure assembly for providing connectivity with a conductor of a stinger without having access to the seizure assembly itself from the exterior. The seizure assembly includes a seizure lock nut for securing the seizure assembly within an opening within the interior of a housing. A seizure holder for receives a plunger therethrough and the plunger urges the conductor of the stinger into electrical contact with the seizure lock nut. In one embodiment, the plunger has an end keyed to the bottom of the opening in the housing to prevent the plunger from turning.
Abstract: An electrical terminal connector and method of fabricating the same is provided. The electrical terminal connector includes an angled insulating housing, a conducting terminal and a cylindrical crimp ferrule positioned therein. Two ends of the insulating housing have a first opening and a second opening, while the angled insulating housing has a through passage therein. The conducting terminal includes a flat-ended connecting portion facing the first opening and a crimped-ended facing the second opening. The cylindrical crimp ferrule has a core-connecting end facing the second opening and a crimped portion facing the crimping end of the conducting terminal. The angled insulating housing further includes a window with a cover at the sidewall near the first opening. One end of the covers pivots at the side of the window, while the other end of the cover comprises a fastening means. The fastening means can be operationally fastened to the matching means forming an opening position and a closed position.
Abstract: An electric distribution box for containing a distribution parts includes a first case, a second case that is attached to the first case, and a female-female terminal that has holding portions for holding and electrically connecting mating terminals. A first recess portion is provided on one of the first and second cases, and receives a part of the female-female terminal. A second recess portion is provided on the other of the first and second cases, and receives a remaining part of the female-female terminal. An inserting hole for inserting one of the mating terminal to contact with the female-female terminal is formed in at least one of the first and second recess portions.
Abstract: An electronic connector includes a cover, a connector body and an aligning plate. The cover defines an opening therein. The connector body protrudes through the opening, and defines a first interspace therebetween for the connector body to be partially and movably received in the opening. The aligning plate includes a supporting portion securing with and supporting the connector body, and at least two setting portions arranged at two opposite ends of the supporting portion. The aligning plate slidably mounts the connector body to the cover, the slidable directions are substantially parallel to an imaginary plane defined by the two setting portions.
Abstract: An electrical connector for high current applications has a mating plug and socket assembly. The socket assembly has two sockets arranged coaxially of one another and electrically interconnected. The central socket receives and contacts a pin on the plug assembly; the other socket contacts the external surface of a tubular sleeve surrounding and integrally electrically connected with the pin. The socket assembly also has a third socket electrically insulated from and arranged coaxially outwardly of the other two sockets. The third socket makes electrical contact with the outer surface of a tubular contact extending coaxially of the pin and electrically insulated from it. The sockets each have a hyperboloid configuration of multiple resilient wires to make contact with the pin, sleeve and outer contact.
