  • Patent number: 11887439
Abstract: Innovations in game design features of an electronic gaming device are presented. Groups of players can be defined that may win an award that is also available to non-group based players. If the award is won by a group-based player, the award can be distributed to at least a portion of the group members in addition to the player who won the award. A group profile can define criteria for group membership, awards associated with the group, how awards will be distributed among the group, and how and when groups can be altered. Groups can be associated with awards other than those associated with gaming activity. In addition, a value of a gaming award can be increased based on non-gaming activity.

  • Patent number: 11887434
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention set forth systems, apparatuses and methods for implementing an incrementing feature in gaming devices. Accordingly, a gaming device can be configured to generate a game outcome in response a wager and determine if an incrementing symbol is present on a game grid when the generated game outcome is shown on a display of the gaming device. When the incrementing symbol is present, a processor is further operable to increment the incrementing symbol while maintaining at least the initial position of the incrementing symbol in the game grid during a subsequent game event.

  • Patent number: 11878230
Abstract: A let detection system includes a sensor including an accelerometer attached to a tennis net. The sensor is in wireless communication with an umpire device able to send a message to the sensor, wherein the message causes the sensor to calibrate and begin monitoring for a let. The sensor determines a three-dimensional (3D) vector representing the gravity acting on the sensor as a baseline. When the sensor detects vertical acceleration of the net relative to the baseline and the vertical motion is above a preset threshold, the sensor automatically transmits a let notification message to the umpire device.

  • Patent number: 11875643
Abstract: A wagering system is associated with a first wagering facility, communicably coupled with a network and includes a memory operable to store betting odds on a plurality of wagering events hosted by the first wagering facility. The system includes a processor coupled to the memory and operable to receive via the network a first bet on a particular event comprising at least one of the wagering events hosted by the first wagering facility. If a second bet is received within a predetermined period of time after the first bet is received, the processor recalculates the betting odds on the particular event based upon the first bet and the second bet. If a second bet is not received within a predetermined period of time after the first bet is received, then the processor recalculates the betting odds on the particular event based upon the first bet.

  • Patent number: 11869306
Abstract: A transaction is facilitated at a business's touchpoint by transmitting from a wireless device (e.g., a patron's cell phone) to a transaction server operated by a transaction-funding business: patron-identifying information for the patron and a touchpoint ID associated with the touchpoint read using the wireless device. The transaction server authorizes the transaction, transmits that authorization to the cell phone and/or the touchpoint business, and the touchpoint business provides goods/services to the patron. In some implementations, the transaction-funding business transfers outgoing funds for the transaction to the touchpoint business and receives incoming funds for the transaction from the patron. In a casino, a patron can use his/her cell phone to purchase gaming credit at a gaming table. The transaction-funding business funds the purchase for the patron without any funds ever residing on or passing through the patron's cell phone.

  • Patent number: 11854349
Abstract: A gaming system that uses multiple ghost reels to trigger a jackpot feature. During the jackpot feature, a gaming system performs a first spin of a jackpot prize reel that includes multiple jackpot prize symbols. After the first spin, each of the displayed jackpot prize symbol replaces a jackpot symbol displayed on the same line of an adjacent first ghost reel. Afterwards, the gaming system performs a second spin of the jackpot prize reel that generates a second set of displayed jackpot prize symbols. The gaming system then replaces the jackpot symbols of an adjacent second ghost reel according to the displayed jackpot prize symbols located on the same line. If the jackpot prize symbols populated on the ghost reels and the jackpot prize reel produces a same line match, the gaming system awards a jackpot prize corresponding to the matched jackpot prize symbol.

  • Patent number: 11845009
Abstract: A game period is common among a plurality of users and includes a first period and a second period. An example information processing system advances a first game for each user in the first period. A rank of each user is determined based on a first individual parameter of the user for the first game from a past game period. A second individual parameter is determined for each user based on the rank of the user and the first individual parameter of the user for the first game from a current game period. In the second period, the information processing system determines a common parameter that is common among the plurality of users based on the second individual parameters for users who have performed a particular game input so as to advance a second game that is common among the plurality of users based on the common parameter.
