Abstract: A computer-based method and apparatus for identifying hazardous materials based on observable physical properties and signs and systems of exposure to the hazardous materials. The observable physical properties are obtained by preprocessing plain language data to obtain normalized descriptors and modifiers pertaining to a plurality of properties and signs and symptoms. The normalized descriptors and signs and symptoms are presented to a user in lists for comparison with a sample in the field. Tightly integrated with identifying the hazardous materials are obtaining response data, obtaining controlled materials of which the hazardous materials may be precursors, and predicting reactions of pairs of hazardous materials. The preferred embodiments of the invention are particularly useful to responders to a hazardous waste incident.

Abstract: A system and method is provided for the facilitation of secure intellectual property transactions. The system may receive intellectual property information from system users. The system may match system users based on the provided intellectual property information to facilitate the initiation of an intellectual property transaction. The system may further provide a secure audit trail of all activity that occurs surrounding the intellectual property transaction, thereby increasing levels of trust between the involved parties.

Abstract: A method for selling seats in a movie theater, comprising the steps of: providing a first screening room in a movie theater with actuated seats providing movement in synchronization with a motion picture having a feature-length presentation being projected; selling access to non-actuated seats in the movie theater at a base price per seat; selling access to said actuated seats in said first screening room at a second price per seat, the second price being equal to the base price per seat added to an actuated-seat premium; controlling the access to said actuated seats in said first screening room as opposed to the non-actuated seats; and projecting said motion picture in the first screening room with the actuated seats being actuated to provide movement in synchronization with the motion picture.

Abstract: A processor-implemented method for analyzing sentiment data corresponding to users experiencing an entertainment to generate a sentiment rating is provided. The processor-implemented method includes collecting physical data procured by wearable devices corresponding to the users during the entertainment. The processor-implemented method includes analyzing the physical data to determine sentiment data and generating the sentiment rating for the entertainment based on the sentiment data. The sentiment rating quantifies a collective real-time emotional response for the users that experience the entertainment.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for autonomously determining and resolving a customer's perceived discrepancy during a customer service interaction. The method can include receiving an incoming communication from a customer; extracting, by a Natural Language Processing (NLP) device, a perceived state and an expected state of a product or service based on the incoming communication; determining by a discrepancy determination device, a discrepancy between the perceived and expected state of the product or service; verifying, by a rule-based platform, the discrepancy; generating a response based on the discrepancy, the response comprising one or more of: a fact pattern response related to the perceived discrepancy and a confirmation or correction of a verified discrepancy; and outputting, for presentation to the customer, the response.

Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for enterprise applications. Embodiments commence by accessing a first database table having columns pertaining to one or more cost items of a first project and accessing a second database table having columns pertaining to cost items of a second project. A user interface aids definition of user-defined inter-project attributes, wherein the user-defined inter-project attributes relate a database table column of the first project to a database table column of the second project. The user-defined inter-project attributes are used in preparing display information pertaining to at least two projects such that in response to a single action being performed under control of a client system, the prepared display information is sent to a display unit. In some cases, the prepared display information comprises a summary of values, and in some cases, an alert icon is displayed based on a summary value exceeding a threshold.

Abstract: Techniques for controlled aeration (140) of wastewater (190) include determining a first aeration intensity for a first aeration interval and a different second aeration intensity for a second aeration interval (225) based on a current energy price (215), a predicted energy price (221), and a regulatory surveillance period (201) during which a regulated critical parameter is monitored for regulatory compliance. Wastewater is aerated at the first aeration intensity for the first aeration interval; and at the second aeration intensity for the second aeration interval. The first aeration interval is short compared to the regulatory surveillance period, the second aeration interval is short compared to the regulatory surveillance period and does not overlap the first aeration interval, and the first aeration intensity is less than the second aeration intensity.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable medium for deriving platform feedback data from raw feedback data for dynamic retrieval by downstream subsystems. For example, a method may include detecting a return notification trigger of a user, identifying segment data, determining a return notification form identifier based on the segment data, loading an electronic return notification form corresponding to the return notification form identifier, receiving raw feedback data from the user device, deriving platform feedback data from the raw feedback data using a plurality of mappings stored in one or more electronic mapping databases, and storing the platform feedback data in at least one of a feedback service component and a return notification service component, in one or more formats configured for retrieval by one or more downstream subsystems associated with managing and/or analyzing the one or more wearable items.

Abstract: Techniques are described that provide a centralized system to coordinate the disparate teams involved in settling or reconciling the affairs of a given estate. These techniques provide a centralized estate resource system (ERS) to create, manage, track, and coordinate task checklists and actions for each of the teams including interactions between teams. The ERS may assign specific personnel within each team to a given estate, send notifications and warnings to appropriate team members when tasks are due or complete, and facilitate messaging between team members to communicate when information is needed or has become available. The ERS may provide updated status and information across teams without violating privacy or security regulations, as may be the case with email, text messages, or voice messages. In addition, the ERS may provide a centralized repository for information, thus avoiding repeated queries for the same information and documents to the decedent's representative.

Abstract: A method includes generating, by a computing device, a unique identifier (ID) based on copyright information associated with the digital content, wherein the copyright information and the digital content are recorded on a blockchain of a blockchain network; identifying, by the computing device, one or more attributes associated with a table; embedding, by the computing device, the unique ID in the table by changing one or more attributes associated with the table to be representative of the unique ID, wherein the embedding produces an information-embedded table that enables retrieval of the copyright information from the blockchain based on the unique ID, and wherein a visual difference between the table and the information-embedded table is not apparent to an unaided human eye; allocating, by the computer device, the digital content to the information-embedded table; and distributing the information-embedded table allocated with the digital content to the blockchain network.

If, for the first level of funding, there are a plurality of causes not chosen by the user, there may be provided a cause choice for the user, to choose at least one cause out of the plurality of causes, for funding.

Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented. The methods include, for instance: identifying a target customer population of a series product and dividing into segments by customer behaviors relevant to adoption of and compliance to a series of purchases of the series product. A marketing campaign strategy for each segment is devised and executed, and adoption rate and compliance rate is predicted by analytical modeling and later evaluated by actual sales data. Parameters used in predicting the adoption rate and the compliance rate are adjusted for accuracy.

Abstract: Software that uses machine-logic based algorithms to assess the value of idea descriptions by performing the following operations: (i) receiving an idea description pertaining to an idea; (ii) generating a density score for the idea, wherein the density score is based, at least in part, on one or more publication date densities of a set of works related to the idea description; (iii) generating a novelty score for the idea, wherein the novelty score is based, at least in part, on a comparison of the idea description to the set of works related to the idea description using natural language processing; and (iv) assessing the value of the idea based, at least in part, on the generated density score and the generated novelty score.

Abstract: A recycling kiosk for recycling and financial remuneration for submission of a mobile telephone is disclosed herein. The recycling kiosk includes an inspection area with a plurality of white walls in order to perform a visual analysis of the mobile telephone for determination of a value of the mobile telephone. The visual analysis inspects the LCD screen of the mobile phone to determine if the LCD screen is damaged. The recycling kiosk also includes a processor, a display and a user interface.

Compliance or non-compliance of the legal compliance rules with the service provider characteristics is verified using service characteristics of a default service. A compliant or non-compliant verification of the service provider for the default service is returned from a result of the verifying compliance or non-compliance.

Cities and other governing bodies can manage and enforce their recycling policies. Property owners can track the recycling on construction debris within their property. Recycling facilities can create diversion reports and upload tickets directly to a project. Users communicate and interact via the system. Waste management plans can be submitted directly to the governmental bodies. Users track recycling on construction projects through detailed recycling reports. The system calculates a plan's emissions and gives suggestions on how to reduce a plan's carbon footprint.
