  • Patent number: 9308439
Abstract: Some embodiments of the inventive subject matter are directed to presenting wagering game content in stereoscopic 3D according to an optimal autostereoscopic view for an autostereoscopic display based on a viewing perspective of a player when the player views the wagering game content. Some embodiments are also directed to determining that the player looks away from the wagering game content and maintaining, or freezing, presentation of wagering game content in 3D according to the optimal autostereoscopic view. Some embodiments are directed to updating the optimal autostereoscopic view based on changes to the viewing perspective while the player looks away from the wagering game content. Some embodiment are also directed to changing the presentation of the wagering game content to 2D, and restoring the one or more portions to 3D based on a degree of player attentiveness after the player looks at the wagering game content again.

  • Patent number: 9311771
Abstract: A wagering game system and its operations are described herein. In some embodiments, the operations can include determining a position of a player in physical world space (“player's position”) in front of an autostereoscopic display (“display”). The display includes optical units configured to project views of wagering game content with an autostereoscopic, three-dimensional effect. The operations can further include performing a repeating subroutine for each of the optical units associated with the wagering game content. The repeating subroutine, for each one of the optical units, determines that one of the views has a viewing angle that corresponds to the player's position, configures a virtual camera in virtual world space according to the viewing angle and renders, based on configuration of the virtual camera, a portion of the wagering game content that corresponds to pixels of the autostereoscopic display associated with the one of the optical units.

  • Patent number: 9286748
Abstract: A gaming machine that is capable of imparting diversified variations to the play of a bonus game is provided. A main CPU displays a selection screen in a case where a feature game trigger is established, and causes a player to select one of a free game and a roulette game. In a case where the free game is selected, a total of values of BONUS symbols that correspond to the feature game trigger is determined as the number of free games. On the other hand, in a case where the roulette game is selected, a game is completed by carrying out roulette game processing once, and the amount of payouts is determined based on the number of free games. The free game and the roulette game are respectively set so that expectation values of the number of payouts are equal to each other.

  • Patent number: 9101838
Abstract: A dual pivot game controller including two rotating assemblies, one for each of a user's two hands, is described. Each of the two rotating assemblies is coupled to a base by a pivoting coupling, and each pivoting coupling includes an axis of rotation about which its respective rotating assembly rotates. Accordingly, each rotating assembly and pivoting coupling share an axes of rotation, and each rotating assembly is thus configured to rotate relative to the base to which it is coupled. The axes of rotation usually reside in a common plane and are substantially non-parallel, such that they intersect at an axes intersection angle. An axes intersection angle of about 52° is typical. The two rotating assemblies are usually operationally coupled to each other such that they rotate in tandem during use.

Abstract: A gaming system including a control lever having an operation unit which is rotatable by a player and resembles a reel, a display, a storage unit and a controller is provided. When it is determined that the fishing is failed, the controller obtains the number of rotation of the operation unit until a predetermined time elapses from the timing at which fish is hooked by a fishline in a fishing game, and selects one of a plurality of levels based on the obtained number of rotation. The controller then obtains a set of display state data associated with the selected level and causes the display a failure image representing failure in fishing in one of a plurality of display states, based on the set of display state data.
