Abstract: Exemplary embodiments described in this disclosure are generally directed to systems and methods for receiving a ride request from a user of a user device and utilizing an imaging system located in a vehicle of a ride service to capture an image of a seating area of the vehicle. The image is processed by a processor to identify a seat occupancy status and generate a seat availability diagram based on the seat occupancy status. The seat availability diagram is transmitted to the user device, and the user is prompted to either select a seat by using the seat availability diagram or to allow the system to assign any seat in the vehicle. If a seat selection is made, the system responds by reserving the selected seat and may further provide instructions to the user for entering the vehicle through a specific door located closest to the selected seat.

Travel itineraries may be prepared responsive to a user-initiated trip planning session, responsive to notification of a new travel item's availability, periodically, or a combination thereof.

A computer-implemented method of staging delivery of a package to a customer includes displaying a network link that is selectable by the customer on an electronic client device. Upon entry of the access code, the locker is opened to provide the customer with access to the package to retrieve the package from the locker.

A yard management system comprises a database holding load information, a mobile application associated with a user account and executable on a mobile device. The mobile application when executed acquires the identifications of the load, queries the database for the load information, and generates a machine-readable representation corresponding to the identifications of the load, an autonomous yard vehicle configured to mechanically couple with a cargo trailer. The system further comprises a computing system programmed to, in response to detecting the mobile device at the transfer location, navigate to the cargo trailer and guide the coupling between the autonomous yard vehicle and the cargo trailer.

Abstract: A goal-oriented dialog system interacts with a user over one or more turns of dialog to determine a goal expressed by the user; the dialog system may then act to fulfill the goal by, for example, calling an application-programming interface. The user may supply dialog via text, speech, or other communication. The dialog system includes a first trained model, such as a translation model, to encode the dialog from the user into a context vector; a second trained model, such as another translation model, determines a plurality of candidate probabilities of items in a vocabulary. A language model determines responses to the user based on the input from the user, the context vector, and the plurality of candidate probabilities.
