Abstract: A calendaring-oriented computer program displays a meeting to which a user of the program has been invited to participate. The program visually indicates that a first other user who has also been invited to participate in the meeting has posted first update information relevant to the meeting and that the user is permitted to view. The program permits the user to post second update information relevant to the meeting and to specify a second other user who has also been invited to participate in the meeting as being permitted to view the second update information. The program permits the user to schedule a time at which the second update information is to be posted. The program permits the user to view the first update information and to post the second update information regardless of whether the user accepts, delegates, or declines, or has accepted, delegated, or declined, the meeting.

Abstract: An electronic device with a display and a touch-sensitive surface displays, on the display, a first visual indicator that corresponds to a virtual touch. The device receives a first input from an adaptive input device. In response to receiving the first input from the adaptive input device, the device displays a first menu on the display. The first menu includes a virtual touches selection icon. In response to detecting selection of the virtual touches selection icon, a menu of virtual multitouch contacts is displayed.

Abstract: A method is provided that receives an image that includes graphical metadata for specifying alignment information. The method renders the image by using the alignment information. Rendering the image by using the alignment information includes positioning text on the image, aligning the image with another image, and identifying visual boundaries of the rendered image. The graphical metadata includes a geometric shape that specifies a region on the image where the text is to be rendered. The alignment metadata also specifies a maximum size for text rendered on the image. In some embodiments, the image is a multi-layer image that includes a first layer for the image and a second layer for the graphical metadata. In some embodiments, the layer that includes the graphical metadata is designated to include graphical metadata. The graphical metadata is not rendered on a graphical user interface where the image is rendered.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for an interface optimization application. A user interface layout is matched with a known pattern. Based on the pattern, a template is selected. The template may be modified by a user. Transformations are applied to the layout such that the resulting layout embodies the template and any modifications.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are described wherein an auxiliary sensor attachable to a touchscreen computing device provides an additional form of user input. When used in conjunction with an accessibility process in the touchscreen computing device, wherein the accessibility process generates audible descriptions of user interface features shown on a display of the device, actuation of the auxiliary sensor by a user affects the manner in which concurrent touchscreen input is processed and audible descriptions are presented.

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for performing multi-tasking, and more particularly to a multi-tasking performance apparatus and method which easily enable a shift between a plurality of applications being executed and a shift into an initial application. A currently operating application window is simultaneously displayed, with at least one executed application window by overlapping the executed application window on the currently operating application window according to a predetermined format.

Abstract: Electronic message management with conversation participation status is enabled. Accordingly, time may be saved and lost productivity due to overload of messages may be reduced. Electronic conversations may be associated with a set of participants. Each participant may have a varying and/or changing level of interest in the conversation. Each participant may specify a conversation participation status and the conversation participation status and/or user status of each participant may be communicated and/or presented to each of the other participants. Messaging clients may change presentation of conversations and/or electronic messages for a participant based on the participant's specified conversation participation status. Participants sending messages may specify message status specific for each participant to alter treatment of message that would be based on participant status and/or conversation participation status when message is received by each participant.

Abstract: A computer-based investigative analysis system is disclosed in which a user can share results of an investigation with other users in a way that allows the sharing user to visualize how the results will be shared before they are shared. The results are shared in the form of a visual graph having nodes, edges, and other presentation elements. The nodes represent data objects that are the subject of the investigation and the edges represent connections between the data objects. The graph is shared in the form of an automatically generated redacted graph omitting nodes, edges, and presentation elements for which the other users do not have permission to view. Before sharing the graph, the sharing user is presented with a visualization of the automatically generated redacted graph providing the user an opportunity to confirm that sharing the redacted graph will not constitute an unauthorized information leakage.

Abstract: A method for enabling at least one user interface display field to perform at least one action is provided. The method may include receiving a first user action associated with the at least one user interface display field. The method may further include activating the at least one user interface display field in response to the received first user action. Additionally, the method may include determining a context associated with the activated at least one user interface display field. The method may also include applying the determined context associated with the activated at least one user interface display. The method may further include receiving a second user action associated with the activated at least one user interface display field based on the applied determined context. The method may also include executing the received second user action.

Abstract: Techniques for segregating one or more logs of at least one multitasking user to derive at least one behavioral pattern of the at least one multitasking user are provided. The techniques include obtaining at least one of at least one action log, configuration information, domain knowledge, at least one task history and open task repository information, correlating the at least one of at least one action log, configuration information, domain knowledge, at least one task history and open task repository information to determine a task associated with each of one or more actions and segregate the one or more logs based on the one or more actions, and using the one or more logs that have been segregated to derive at least one behavioral pattern of the at least one multitasking user. Techniques are also provided for deriving intelligence from at least one activity log of at least one multitasking user to provide information to the at least one user.

Abstract: A display device includes: a display having a plurality of display regions on a body that are configured to display images; a touch sensor configured to sense a first touch input; and a controller configured to control the images displayed on the plurality of display regions in response to the first touch input sensed by the touch sensor, wherein the controller is further configured to control the display to display at least one piece of content at at least one of the plurality of display regions, and to move the at least one piece of content to a first display region from among the plurality of display regions and to display the moved content at the first display region in response to the first touch input when the touch sensor senses the first touch input generated at the first display region.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for determining and generating content items that provide patient information and content provided by, for example, a third-party content provider that is relevant to information associated with an open healthcare application. The content items are displayed in a separate display space from the healthcare application's user interface and dynamically change and update in response to changes in the information being displayed on the healthcare application's user interface. Additionally, the content items are actionable thereby enabling healthcare providers to address alerts, take actions, view supporting documentation, and the like.

Abstract: A high level interface between a remote computer and local computer operator permits the remote computer to be controlled via a sequence of interactions. The remote computer may be monitored for display information which is expected, and also controlled in the event the expected information either is or is not obtained. Command language extensions are provided which extend and complement a basic scripting language. Scripts with embedded command language extensions may be executed through a remote interface, permitting remote testing, operation and evaluation. The development of the scripts, including embedded command language extensions, may be prepared through execution of commands at the local computer on a depiction of the GUI received from the remote computer, and subsequently saved as a script.

Abstract: An operation device includes a display unit, an operation unit, a registration unit, a searching unit and a guide screen generator unit. When a registration command is input for a screen displayed on the display unit, specific information of that screen is registered in the registration unit. The operation unit is operated to select a screen, for which a command to display an access procedure is input, out of a list screen relating to information of registered screens. This causes the searching unit to search a route to access that screen from a higher ranked screen. The guide screen generator unit generates a guide screen showing an access procedure utilizing that route and causes the display unit to display the generated guide screen.

Abstract: A multi-page content selection mode is provided for devices and systems having display capability. The content may be any type (e.g., text, images, files, etc). In some cases, the user can engage the mode with a combination of gestures and touch points on a touch screen. The combination may include, for example, one or more initial touch points at a desired starting location of target content, followed by a dragging gesture moving from that location to a desired end location of that content. Content between the starting and end locations is selected. Input devices other than touch screens can be used to engage the selection process. During a multi-page selection process, content of a second page can be previewed in a preview area on a first displayed page. In some such cases, content from the second page scrolls into the preview area and displaces content from the first displayed page.

Abstract: This application discloses systems and methods for receiving information associated with a first set of processing instructions and presenting a second icon indicating a change in status of data associated with the first set of processing instructions. A user selection of one of a first icon or the second icon may then be received. The selection of the first icon may cause execution of the first set of processing instructions, whereas selection of the second icon may cause execution of a second set of processing instructions.

Abstract: Objects displayed on a display component of a multi-touch display device may be assigned to and displayed at various visual layers, with each visual layer corresponding to a different depth relative to a foreground (or background) of the display component of the multi-touch display device. One or more annotations may be generated in response to user interaction with the multi-touch display device, with each annotation being assigned to an appropriate visual layer.

Abstract: An improved system and method for maintaining a view location during the rendering of content on a display of an electronic device. When a user views a web page or similar content while the content is in the process of being loaded onto the display of the electronic device, a reference point is selected corresponding to a portion of the web page that appears on the display. As additional material is downloaded, it is added to the web page. If the new material is located on a portion of the web page before the reference point, then the portion of the web page that appears on the display is substantially maintained.
