Abstract: A method for a multi-touch gesture-based user interface wherein a plurality of gestemes are defined as functions of abstract space and time and further being primitive gesture segments that can be concatenated over time and space to construct gestures. Various distinct subset of the gestemes can be concatenated in space and time to construct a distinct gestures. Real-time multi-touch gesture-based information provided by user interface is processed to at least a recognized sequence of specific gestemes and that the sequence of gestemes that the user's execution a gesture has been completed. The specific gesture rendered by the user is recognized according to the sequence of gestemes. Many additional features are then provided from this foundation, including gesture grammars, structured-meaning gesture-lexicon, context, and the use of gesture prosody.

Abstract: A Graphical User Interface (GUI) allows a user to control multiple media streams at the same time. A user can display and configure multiple regions of the GUI to display information about, and control broadcast properties of, multiple media streams being broadcast at the same time. Multiple display regions of the same type can be displayed at the same time. The GUI is also highly customizable, allowing a user to configure multiple different display regions, each displaying information and controls useful for performing functions related to the type of display region. The information displayed in each region can be selected from a single media stream, or from different media streams.

Abstract: During an interaction with a web page, user interface events are recorded and augmented with page layout data from the document object model. An event stream is formed with the page layout data and communicated to an event server. The event server processes the event stream to determine a location at which the events were generated, which can be used to predict an area of a user's attention.

Abstract: An event-triggered contact information provision apparatus and method of a mobile terminal is provided for presenting contact information of a person, who has triggered an event, around the contact object representing the person on a specific screen. An information provision method of a mobile terminal preferably includes detecting an event; tracing a contact object associated with triggering the event; and presenting contact information of a person triggering the event around at least a portion of the contact object on a display of the mobile terminal.

Abstract: A game apparatus as an information processing apparatus includes a CPU, and the CPU executes a program as to a memo application and another application different from the memo application. When the program of the memo application is executed during execution of the other application, a screen of an execution result of the program of the other application is captured, and the captured image is displayed on a stereoscopic LCD. On the other hand, a memo creating screen is displayed on a lower LCD.

Abstract: A user device's browser receives a page from a publishing system and presents content of the page within a window. Instructions from a media hosting system cause a frame to be created within the window. The frame includes a media upload object from a media hosting system that has a different address domain that the publishing system. A communication channel is established between the window and the frame to allow messages to be exchanged. The media upload object allows a user to create a media item and upload it to the media hosting system. Throughout the process of creating and uploading the media item, the media upload object transmits one or more messages to the page via the communication channel. Based on the messages, the page responds to what is occurring within the frame.

Abstract: Embodiments related to dynamically adjusting a user interface based upon depth information are disclosed. For example, one disclosed embodiment provides a method including receiving depth information of a physical space from a depth camera, locating a user within the physical space from the depth information, determining a distance between the user and a display device from the depth information, and adjusting one or more features of a user interface displayed on the display device based on the distance.

Abstract: A thumbnail display apparatus includes a display that displays, one by one, thumbnail images corresponding to plural pages included in a document, the thumbnail images being generated by reducing images of the corresponding pages included in the document to a predetermined size, a detecting unit that detects a sliding operation of an object, the sliding operation being performed when the thumbnail image displayed by the display being touched by the object, and a controller that performs, in response to detection of the sliding operation by the detecting unit, page switching so as to sequentially switch the page of the document whose thumbnail image is being displayed by the display to other pages.

Abstract: A method for managing an e-mail response based on the e-mail domains of the recipients is provided. The method receives a first e-mail sent to a plurality of e-mail addresses that includes e-mails with different domain names, provides a list of different domain names associated with a plurality of e-mail addresses and an e-mail address of a sender of the first e-mail, generates, based on a selection of one or more of the different domain names, a distribution list including one or more e-mail addresses limited to e-mail addresses having a selected domain name, and providing the distribution list in an addressee field associated with the e-mail response.

Abstract: According to one general aspect, a computer-implemented method for managing global keyboard shortcuts is described. The method determines a web application or a browser extension accessible for execution by a browser of a client device. A user interface including available shortcut actions for the web application or the browser extension is provided, and a designation of a keyboard shortcut for an action from the available shortcut actions is received via the user interface. An association is created between the designated keyboard shortcut, the action, and a user account. The designated keyboard shortcut, the action, and the association may be stored on a server, and the designated keyboard shortcut, the action, and the association may be synced based on the user account.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments disclose controlling of the size and content of a hierarchical visualization by a software component executing on a computer that displays a multi-level hierarchical visualization of nodes including a collapsed sub-hierarchy. The exemplary embodiments include displaying a user interface that enables a user to invoke a contextual search that is contextual to the collapsed sub-hierarchy; responsive to the user invoking the contextual search, receiving search criteria entered by the user; displaying any nodes from the collapsed sub-hierarchy matching the search criteria; receiving a user selection of which ones of the matching nodes from the collapsed sub-hierarchy to show; and displaying a partial rendering of the collapsed sub-hierarchy that shows the selected matching nodes while keeping remaining non-matching nodes hidden.

Abstract: There is provided herein a system and method for content sharing over the Internet, wherein the user creates visual representations of specific content share sections and, by graphically accessing and interacting with these visual representations, the user is able to quickly, efficiently and easily create multi-user content sharing environments, thereby still retaining full control over all specific shares. With this graphical approach the accessibility and understanding of the user regarding content sharing over the Internet is enhanced, therewith allowing even the casual user of computers to initiate content sharing.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for resuming a media object presented on a device following a data loss event that interrupts the presentation of the media object, wherein streaming services are used to deliver the media object are provided. A physical disconnection that occurs at a point during the presentation of the media object is recognized. The physical disconnection is recognized based on an identification that media data has not been received by the device within a predetermined time period. Upon recognition of the physical disconnection, the presentation of the media object is automatically paused. After detecting reestablishment of a physical connection, the media object is resumed as though no interruption occurred. A resume request is communicated to a streaming control agent to provide an indication that the streaming control agent should continue delivering media data to the device.

The transformation rules may be used to transform a model in a source description notation to a new model in a target description notation. In one embodiment, graphical constructs are provided including symbols in the source description notation and the target description notation. The constructs for the source description notation are arranged in a source pattern, and the constructs for the target description notation are arranged in a target pattern, according to user instructions. The source and target patterns are sent to a transformation engine and subsequently accessed to provide at least one transformation rule utilized by the transformation engine.

Abstract: The present invention provides a document processing method and system which implement display that improves efficiency and usability of edit operations when inserting, moving, or copying and pasting data, by taking full advantage of the feature of retaining data and set values hierarchically in the system. In document processing for editing a document consisting of multiple sets of original data, when a user moves a graphic object which represents a desired original by dragging it on the document in order to move or copy the desired original data to a certain position on the document, the present invention detects the boundary between originals in the document, nearest to the position of the cursor dragging the graphic object which represents the desired original, and displays an identifiable mark on the boundary between originals in the document.

Abstract: A touch screen interface including a display screen, a touch sensor device, and a processor coupled to the display screen and the touch sensor is described. The touch sensor device is adapted to sense object motion in a sensing region that overlaps at least part of the display screen. The processor is adapted to cause a scroll wheel that indicates a scrolling path to appear on the display screen selectively, such as in response to the touch sensor sensing object motion that corresponds to a scrolling initiation gesture. The processor is further adapted to cause scrolling on a display screen selectively, such as in response to the touch sensor sensing subsequent object motion along the scrolling path after the touch sensor has sensed the object motion corresponding to the scrolling initiation gesture.

Abstract: A caregiver user interface displays information from a patient's electronic medical record. The interface associates medical records together that include a common data item. The interface also displays information about data items, such as the status of a data item in an associated historical record. Controls can be displayed in the user interface, which are linked to the historical records.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product for summoning a palette to a cursor location is presented. An application is run, the application having a work area in a Graphical User Interface (GUI). The application includes at least one palette associated therewith. A cursor can be operated within the work area. An input is provided causing one of the at least one palette to be presented at a location adjacent the cursor, and wherein the palette is maintained at the location.
