Abstract: An exercise apparatus for performing a back extension exercise comprising: a frame, a seat having a seating surface and a pelvic stabilization pad having a lower back engagement surface, an input arm assembly interconnected by a first interconnection to a first resistance mechanism, the input arm assembly including a manually graspable mechanism and being arranged on the apparatus such that the input arm assembly is pivotable beginning from a start motionless position along a path of travel toward the pelvic stabilization pad under resistance exerted by one or both of the resistance mechanisms, wherein the first resistance mechanism is adapted to increase resistance as the degree of pivoting of the input arm assembly increases along the path of travel away from the start motionless position rearwardly toward the pelvic stabilization pad.

Abstract: Methods and program products for building a workout are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method for generating a workout includes the steps of receiving user input indicating features of a desired workout, generating a workout, wherein the workout comprises a plurality of intervals, and wherein a first interval comprises an interval intensity and an interval duration, and initiating a graphical display that conveys the number of intervals making up the workout and the interval intensity and the interval duration of the first interval.

Abstract: A selectable weight set apparatus includes a handle assembly including a handle having a first end portion and a second end portion opposite the first end portion. A first weight set is adapted to be supported on the first end portion of the handle and a second weight set is adapted to be supported on the second end portion of the handle. Each of the first and second weight sets includes a plurality of weight plates. An adjustment assembly selects a number of weight plates to be retained to the handle assembly. The adjustment assembly includes at least one selector for movement relative to at least one of the first and second weight sets to engage and select the weight plates in said at least one of the first and second weight sets. A locking assembly fixes the selector relative to said at least one of the first and second weight sets.

Abstract: An exercise bike includes a frame, a rotor assembly and a drive assembly mounted on the frame, where the drive assembly is configured to drive rotation of the rotor assembly, and a cover configured to at least partially cover the rotor assembly. The components of the drive assembly and the rotor assembly include structures that improve the performance of the exercise bike, including but not limited to a strong and rigid construction and improvements in belt tracking, user feel, effort consistency, synchronization, and rotor performance.

Abstract: There is provided an article of adjustable drag resistance water exercise equipment comprised of a rectangular piece of material (11) with a handle (12A) attached to either end, and an identical handle (12B) looped around the material. By holding the handles (12A-12B) in either one hand or both hands of a user, or one handle (12A or 12B) placed around one foot while the user holds the other handle(-s), it can be moved through water in multiple directions through several movement planes, therefore increasing muscular strength and endurance of upper and lower extremities and core muscles of the user, as well as improving stability and balance. The device can be adjusted for user length and resistance levels using the third handle (12B). The equipment is useful in aquatic therapy or group exercise situations with different populations (elderly, injured, overweight, the elite athletes, recreational fitness partaker, and many more) to increase surface area and drag.

Abstract: This disclosure discloses a pair of foot massage physiotherapy plates. The foot massage physiotherapy plates comprise bottom plates, foot reflex zone massage blocks and foot acupuncture point massage posts; the foot reflex zone massage blocks are connected with the bottom plates through massage block bolts and the foot acupuncture point massage posts are connected with the foot reflex zone massage blocks through massage post bolts; massage bulges are arranged on the front surfaces of the foot reflex zone massage blocks. The foot massage physiotherapy plates disclosed by the disclosure change the design of fixed massage blocks for only massaging foot reflex zones, and the detachably installed foot acupuncture point massage posts are arranged on the detachably installed foot reflex zone massage blocks; the foot massage physiotherapy plates disclosed by the disclosure are safe, reliable, convenient, effective, comfortable and health-promoting.

Abstract: A multi-purpose fitness bar capable of being asymmetrically weighted. The fitness bar has a frame consisting of three arms, multiple handholds and elevated risers. The handholds are in a multitude of positions and angles to provide variability in training. Each arm is capable of being independently loaded with one or more removable weights to produce a symmetric or asymmetric weight load to provide increased torque with movement of the device as well as driving the body in movement patterns consistent with function. The elevated risers provide a space between the body of the device and floor to provide “push-up” function of the device by protecting the users hands from contact with the ground. The arms of the device may also provide attachments for resistance band use to provide another loading mechanism for strength development.

Abstract: A spacer that is preferably made from high density polyethylene and has a diameter that is larger than a standard plate for a barbell. The spacer has a central hole dimensioned to accept a standard barbell and, when placed onto a barbell, will space the barbell apart from the ground a sufficient distance that a user can easily add or more plates from the barbell without having the lift the barbell. The spacer provides a more efficient way to add or remove weights from a barbell that is on the ground (e.g., when a user is performing deadlifts, snatches, and power cleans, etc.). The spacer may be placed on a barbell similarly to a regular weight plate, preferably before any other weight is added.

Abstract: A barbell collar system which is both easy to connect or disconnect from the barbell and secure enough to maintain weights on a barbell during extreme use. The barbell collar system generally includes a collar which is adapted to easily and quickly be connected to or removed from a barbell to retain a weight on the barbell. The collar is adapted to adjust between a first position in which the collar is curled around the barbell outside of the weight and a second position in which the collar is elongated in a linear orientation. The collar may include a ribbon spring for snapping between the two positions and an outer covering for increasing friction between the collar and the barbell. One or more magnets may be included with the collar to magnetically engage the collar with the barbell or the collar with itself.

Abstract: A cordless treadmill including a frame, a belt system, and a drop-in cartridge is disclosed. The cartridge includes a plurality of staggered rollers configured to provide tactile feedback to the user. The frame is adapted to receive the belt system and the cartridge as they are lowered into the frame, and the frame is adapted to place the belt of the belt system into tension as the belt system is lowered into the frame. An integrated flywheel generator system provides smooth operation of the treadmill and generates electricity to power additional systems.

Abstract: In one aspect of the present exercise machine, an assembly is attached to the end of a reformer, where the assembly comprises a seat mechanism and a pedal mechanism. The seat mechanism has a seat, a bracket supporting the seat, and a height adjustment system, where activation of the height adjustment system permits selective adjustment and locking of the height of the seat and the bracket by restricting travel of the seat and bracket to a slanted path that is slanted relative to the vertical. The pedal mechanism has an axle, a first pedal arm with a first pedal, and a second pedal arm with a second pedal. The pedal mechanism is located directly beneath the seat when the seat mechanism is in a lowest position and partially exposed in a higher position.

Abstract: A spinning bike with swingable structure includes a frame, a base member, and a limiting assembly. A mount of the limiting assembly is disposed on the frame, and two supporting bars of the limiting assembly are disposed at two sides of the mount and standing vertically. An adjustable member is adapted to adjust the two supporting bars to move downwardly until bottom ends of the supporting bars are in contact with the base member, so that the frame is not swingable with respect to the base member. Alternatively, the adjustable member adjusts the two supporting bars to move upwardly until the bottom ends are not in contact with the base member, so that the frame is swingable with respect to the base member.

Abstract: Example embodiments presented herein are directed towards a system, and corresponding method, for providing ventilation synchronization between breathing gas supplied by a mechanical ventilator and the breathing needs of a patient. In providing the ventilation synchronization, a total amount of energy required during an inspiratory phase of breathing is calculated. Based on the calculated energy, a decay factor is determined. The decay factor is supplied to an inspiratory triggering system in order to provide the ventilation synchronization.

Abstract: A barbell collar. The barbell collar may comprise: a plate; and at least two weight bars. The plate may comprise a hole and at least two arm portions. The hole may be configured to substantially engage with an end portion of a barbell. Each of the at least two weight bars may be attached to each of the at least two arm portions of the plate. The at least two weight bars may be adapted to engage and hold one or more disc weights, such that when the barbell collar is attached to the barbell, the additional disc weights may provide additional varying resistances.

Abstract: Apparatus for performing a pull down exercise comprising: a frame, a seat, an input arm assembly interconnected to a resistance mechanism and a manually graspable mechanism disposed vertically above the user's trunk in a start sitting exercise position, the input arm assembly being pivotably mounted on the frame for back and forth travel along a generally forward to rearward direction and along a generally side to side direction orthogonal to the forward to rearward direction, the input arm assembly being rotatably pivotable around a first linear axis and a second linear axis in the respective directions on exertion by the user of a rearwardly downwardly directed force on the manually graspable mechanism.

Abstract: Disclosed is an exercise device having an elongated body, a slot formed length-wise in the body, the slot having an undercut portion on each side, a plurality of holes in slot for receiving one of a plurality of fasteners, an exercise accessory having a connecting member, and a head of the connecting member, the head sized to be received in the slot of the body and configured to be slidably retained in the slot. The slot can have undercut portions. The undercut portions can have locking features. The head of the connecting member can have complimentary locking features. A tightening member can fix the connecting member in a position in the slot. The elongated body can have a cutout for receiving the head of the connecting member.

Abstract: A motorized rotational dance pole assembly is provided. The dance pole can be rotated by an adjustable and controllable motor assembly to provide controlled rotation of the pole at varying speeds. Further, the pole may have a fixed non-rotating mode, as well as a free rotational mode. Operation of the motorized rotational dance pole may be controlled by a remote wireless controller which may be programmable and reprogrammable to adjust operation of the dance pole.

Abstract: A supplemental weight stack is disclosed. The supplemental weights add a weight load to an exercise machine in increments less than the main weight increments. The supplemental weights can be stacked horizontally and can be designed such that when engaged, each supplemental weight acts upon an engagement mechanism. The user selects the supplemental weight by acting upon an adjustment mechanism, which, in turn, actuates the engagement mechanism.
