Abstract: The disclosure is a quickly and easily attachable and detachable portable mount for radios in automotive vehicles which have a floor hump defining a drive-shaft tunnel. The mount has a base lamina overlying the hump and has at least one lateral lamina hingedly attached to each lateral edge of the base lamina. The laminae straddle and embrace the hump and are made quickly and easily attachable to, and detachable from, the hump by the use of marginally attached strips of tape having minute hooks projecting from its face. The minute hooks firmly grip the nap or loops of the usual carpet covering the floor of the vehicle. The base lamina has attached thereto a support structure formed from a relatively stiff sheet of metal or plastic bent to define an inclined panel adapted to underlie the case of a (citizens' band) radio, and an upright panel to support the elevated edge of the inclined panel.

Abstract: An apparatus is described for hoisting and storing a spare tire beneath the body of a vehicle. The apparatus comprises a supporting bar to which the tire is fastened and a pivotal connection between the bar and the vehicle. A reel is mounted upon the vehicle with a cable, rope or chain wound upon it and extending downwardly with a provision for connecting it when desired to the free end of the tire supporting bar so that the rotation of the reel will raise or lower the free end of the bar and the spare tire as the bar swings about the pivot. The supporting bar is entirely removable from the vehicle by means of a telescopic or sliding connection to enable the tire to be easily fastened to it.

Abstract: A sportsman's multipurpose utility pouch of unitary construction adapted to be worn on the user's belt and comprising cartridge and accessory sections and an optional knife sheath having a safety flap to secure a hunting knife or the like in a safe but readily accessible position when not in use. The cartridge sections comprise a plurality of fitted pockets for receipt of live ammunition in frictional holding engagement to secure the same from inadvertent falling from the pockets, said cartridge sections being foldable in safety engagement when not in use. Also included are additional accessory pockets formed contiguously with said cartridge pockets for holding documents or the like, such as hunting licenses and deer tags.

Abstract: A support, for a wheeled vehicle, for mounting preferably on the rear bumper of an automobile, which support is designed so that it may be mounted on the standard bumper of all domestic automobiles, and on the bumpers of practically all foreign made cars. It is provided with a ramp for loading and unloading the cycle thereon and means for holding it down and in upright position on the support while the automobile is moving.

Abstract: A belt holster purse includes an elongate belt element the ends of which are adapted to be releasably connected. At least one peripherally extending slot is formed in selected segments of the side wall of the belt element. At least one purse member is slideably mounted in selected ones of the belt slots. The purse member includes top, bottom, front and rear walls. The rear wall carries a stud member dimensioned to project through the slot and slide therein. A first fastening element is carried by the outer free end of the stud member. The top wall of the purse member has a free end which extends downwardly in overlying relation to at least the upper portion of the rear wall. A second fastening element cooperable with the fastening element on the stud member is carried by the depending section of the top wall and is thus adapted to simultaneously close the purse member and releasably lock the purse member on the belt element.

Abstract: The tubular support particularly for child carriers consists of a resilient connection box made of plastics material, of two legs rigidly connected to the said connection box and of two U-profiled tubular frames able to present a folded and unfolded position, the folded position of a U-profiled tubular frame being locked by lock means and the folded and the unfolded position of the other U-profiled tubular frame being polarized by said resilient connection box.

Abstract: A smooth support strap adapted to be vertically positioned between a trouser waistband and the body of a wearer, the support strap having integrally formed therewith a metal plate for maintaining in a bended down position a portion of the support strap in order to form a downward depending hook for engaging a belt or waistband of the wearer. A barrel-receiving loop is carried by the remaining vertical portion of the support strap for supporting a handgun.

Abstract: An article carrier having a back to which is connected a belt loop carrying a clip. The clip may be utilized as an alternative means to the belt loop for attaching the carrier to the belt or a pocket.

Abstract: A sling for holding a smoking pipe readily accessible on the belt of the user which is flexible, handy, and yet firmly and securely retains a pipe therein.

Abstract: A spare wheel carrier of a type having telescoped relatively rotatable cylinders, one of which carries an arm to support a wheel thereon and which have complemental means to lock the arm in wheel supporting position which also functions to permit relative rotation of the two cylinders to release the wheel.

Abstract: An apparatus for holding a microphone. The microphone is engagably received on an adjustable base which is clipped to an article of clothing worn by a user of the microphone. By adjusting the base, the sound receiving portion of the microphone can be positioned toward the direction of sound.

Abstract: An automobile bicycle carrier including a pair of upwardly opening channels for receiving the wheels of a bicycle and mounted in relatively parallel relation on a pair of cross-frame members and having a pair of bicycle support members mounted at their lower ends on respective ones of the cross-frame members and extending upwardly and relatively crossing relationship and having lateral arms at the upper ends for engaging a portion of the frame of a bicycle resting in a respective one of the channels to support the latter. The carrier including the channels, cross-frame members and bicycle support members can be disassembled to enable compact packaging for shipment or storage.

Abstract: A rigid aluminum frame is suspended from the shoulders to support cross members to which golf clubs are releasably attached.The user grasps the collar of the frame with one arm and bends slightly until the frame rests on both shoulders by means of two semi-circular platform supports, which ride upon the shoulders. When the user straightens his body, the clubs are lifted off the ground and are readily transported around the golf course.

Abstract: A strap which is carried by the body about the back and shoulders for carrying articles and in one form of the invention is also separable so that it forms a basic neck strap. The strap includes an elongated non-elastic flexible neck strap which carries spring releasable couplings at both ends and a length adjustment means. One end of the neck strap is releasably coupled to an elongated non-elastic flexible extension strap which carries coupling means at both ends and a quick release fastener. A camera or other article is releasably attached to either the neck strap by the spring releasable couplings or to a combination of the neck and extension straps by one coupling on each strap and additionally by the quick release fastener. The camera or other article carries a mating quick release fastener either on the article itself or the fastener is attached to a bracket independently connected to the article or camera.

Abstract: A hand gun securing apparatus provides a holster fixedly connected to a first leg encircling member preferably located slightly above an ankle bone and a stabilizing member including a second leg encircling member preferably located at or above a calf and below a knee bone which further includes a downwardly extending member which is releasably and pivotally connected to the holster.

Abstract: A demountable carrier for supporting materials in the trunk compartment of an automobile includes a frame of hollow tubular members which are assembled onto hinged brackets secured to the floor of the trunk. The frame has two lateral tubular members at the ends, one extending between the hinged brackers at opposite sides of the trunk and another extending across the back of the automobile outside the open trunk. A longitudinal tubular member connects the two lateral members and rests on a vertical tubular support on the trunk floor. The height and width of the frame are adjustable to fit different sized trunk compartments and maintain the frame in a horizontal position. When not in use the frame is taken apart and stored and the trunk lid is closed.

Abstract: A belt-supported backpack has been devised which is adapted to be worn around a person's waist and fully supported over the pelvic region of the wearer so as to avoid necessity of cumbersome frames or shoulder straps. The belt proper is formed of an elongted flexible length of material which has forwardly tapering free ends adapted to be releasably secured together and the intermediate portion of the belt forms the inner wall or lining of the backpack or main compartment of the backpack. Most desirably, the main compartment has a releasable closure along the sides and top to permit it to be fully opened, and an auxiliary compartment on the outer wall of the main compartment has separate releasable closures which open into a common interior. One of the releasable closures on the side of the auxiliary compartment is so constructed and arranged as to permit ready opening by the wearer simply by reaching behind and forcing open with the hand without necessity of releasing the belt.

Abstract: A holster for carrying a concealed weapon is disclosed. A holster case is secured to a sling. The upper end of the sling carries fastening means which can be detachably secured to the inner side of the belt of the wearer with the holster and gun concealed within the trousers and beneath the shirt of the wearer. In the preferred embodiment a fabric fastener of the cooperating loop and hook fastener material is utilized to secure the sling to the wearer's belt.

Abstract: A wheel and tire carrier for attachment to a variety of different motor vehicle doors having differently arranged and spaced hinges and different width doors. The carrier has a tubular frame member which is generally U-shaped and which has curved extensions. The extensions being axially and rotatably adjustable relative to the frame member so that they may be secured to the hinges of the door with the side of the frame member secured to the side of the door adjacent the front edge of the door. The frame member supports a bracket which is pivotally supported on the frame member so that the bracket may be moved to its non-use position within the frame member for shipment and storage and moved and locked to its in-use position at right angles to the frame member.

Abstract: A strap has a handle formed at one of its ends and a fastener at its other end. The fastener is fitted in the bolt hole of the wheel on which a spare tire is mounted. The strap goes under the tire and provides a means for conveniently removing the spare tire and wheel from the trunk of a passenger car.
