Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product efficiently verify a transaction, such as an order, in accordance with a multi-stage verification process. In a method, data is extracted from an order submitted pursuant to a program having a plurality of verification qualifications. The method performs a first set of verification checks and, in an instance in which the first set of verification checks is satisfied, the method modifies the order to include a first indication of satisfaction of the first set of verification checks. The method also extracts data from a claim that is based upon the order. The claim includes the first indication that the first set of verification checks was satisfied. The method also performs a second set of verification checks based upon the data extracted from the claim and, in an instance in which the second set of verification checks is satisfied, the method submits the claim via an adjudication network for adjudication.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for card-to-smartglasses payment systems are provided. A smartglasses device may scan a payment card using a camera. The smartglasses device may identify card data elements from the payment card. The smartglasses device may initiate a transaction. The transaction may include the following components: a payer, a payee and a transaction amount. The payment card may be associated with the payer component of the transaction. As such, the card data elements may be included as the payer component of the transaction. The smartglasses may receive data from a third-party relating to the payee component of the transaction. The transaction amount may be inputted into the smartglasses as user input. The generated transaction may be transmitted to an entity for processing. Upon processing completion, the entity may transmit a notification to the smartglasses, to a device associated with the payment card and to a device associated with the payee.

Abstract: A method performed by a processor of a financial institution computing system includes authorizing an account holder to execute transactions in an MBC from a financial account of the account holder that includes funds in a fiat currency. A transaction request is received, including a request to transfer a first amount of funds from the financial account to a recipient. The first amount is defined in MBC. The financial account is debited by a second amount, which is an amount of fiat currency equivalent to the first amount of MBC. A service call is transmitted to the MBC partner. The service call includes instructions to create a temporary account to hold the MBC, to exchange the second amount from fiat currency to MBC, to credit the temporary account with the funds exchanged to MBC, and to transfer the first amount in MBC from the temporary account to the recipient.

Abstract: The application is directed to a computer-implemented apparatus for facilitating transactions. The apparatus includes a non-transitory memory having instructions stored thereon for performing an evaluation of user performance prior to proceeding with a transaction. The apparatus also includes a processor, operably coupled to the non-transitory memory. The processor is configured to perform the instructions of displaying, on a graphical user interface (GUI), an input box requesting a user to input information associated with the transaction. The processor is also configured to receive, via the GUI, information from the user associated with the transaction. The processor is also configured to perform the instruction of evaluating the received information associated with the transaction based upon decision criteria.

Abstract: Techniques and systems are provided for managing experience payloads associated with various users. A system obtains an experience payload and first biometric information of a user from a first computing device. The system generates a set of characteristic representations of the user using the first biometric information. The system associated the set of characteristic representations with the experience payload. In response to a request from a second computing device at a physical location to obtain the experience payload, the system evaluates biometric information from the request to determine whether it corresponds to the set of characteristic representations. If so, the system provides the experience payload to the second computing device to cause the second computing device to perform operations associated with the user at the physical location.

Abstract: A method includes conveying a cryptocurrency transaction to a peer-to-peer network, wherein said cryptocurrency transaction having encoded therein an email address and to convey goods or services embodied in an electronic form to the email address in response to receipt of said cryptocurrency transaction on said peer-to-peer network. The conveying of goods or services includes transmitting over the Internet in conformance with an email protocol. The goods or services includes event admission tickets, music recordings, video, text, game content, live event broadcast, software, encryption keys or passwords.

The system produces a respective trusted resource values based on the respective historical relationship instance. Based on differences between the respective trusted resource value and the respective historical resource value associated with the dataset, the system outputs one or more diagnostic comments associated with the detected difference.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for the problem of automatic, algorithm-guided estimation of insurance loss ratio, claims frequency, the probability of excess claims, and other insurance policy performance characteristics for an individual insured or for groups of insured individuals. A time-series-derived Bayesian power spectrum weight is calculated from the frequency of temporal pattern-specific values in terms of intensities at various frequencies of the power spectrum computed from credit utilization ratio (CUR; outstanding balance of debt, as a percentage of credit line available) time-series obtained by the insurer by ‘soft pull’ inquiries submitted periodically to credit-rating agencies, and provides an opportunity to capture and measure the relative magnitude of frequent or unexpected changes in consumer liquidity.

Abstract: Aspects described herein include a computer-implemented method (and related system and computer program product) comprising receiving, from a bonding service, an authorization request for a predefined authorized use of a good or service by a user. The authorization request indicates that the user meets one or more predefined criteria for the predefined authorized use. The method further comprises determining one or more penalty conditions of a bonding agreement for the predefined authorized use by the user, and receiving, from the bonding service, a confirmation that the user agrees to meet the one or more penalty conditions of the bonding agreement. The method further comprises receiving, from an owner of the good or service, an authorization of the authorization request, and transmitting, responsive to authorization of the authorization request, a token to the bonding service that enables the user to access the predefined authorized use of the good or service.

Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, systems, and machine readable mediums which provide for customized alerts for a user. Alerts may be described by a set of alert parameters. Alert parameters include the type of alerts, the frequency of alerts, and the content of the alerts. While the alert parameters may initially be set based upon the users explicitly entered preferences, the system may monitor one or more indicators to dynamically adjust one or more of the alert parameters. As the indicators allow the automated portfolio management system to respond to the needs of a user, these alerts may increase the personalization of automated portfolio management systems.

The instructions include, in response to receiving a zoned graph request, determining a current breakeven point on a current date based on a strike price of an option. The instructions include estimating a future strike price of the option based on an expiration date of the option, determining a future breakeven point on the expiration date of the option based on the estimated future strike price, and determining a range as a current price corresponding to the current breakeven point to a future price corresponding to the future breakeven point. The instructions include, for each time between the current date and the expiration date, determining a middle breakeven point at the corresponding time based on the range and generating a zoned graph including the current breakeven point, the future breakeven point, and each middle breakeven point at the corresponding times.

Abstract: According to various embodiment of the present invention, an electronic device comprises: an audio module including a speaker and a receiver; a codec circuit for transmitting and receiving an audio signal; a magnetic secure transmission (MST) circuit; a switch unit; a memory; and a processor electrically connected with the audio module, the codec circuit, the MST circuit, the switch unit, and the memory, wherein, if a function for requesting a payment is executed when the codec circuit and the audio module are connected with each other, the processor can be configured to: control the switch unit so as to connect the MST circuit with the speaker and/or the receiver, which are included in the audio module; and transmit the MST signal for the payment by using the speaker and/or the receiver, which are connected with the MST circuit. Abstract: Provided is a computer-implemented method for event-based communication and messaging that includes determining general event data associated with an event, determining user data associated with a user based on determining the event data associated with the event, determining pre-event data associated with the event, current event data associated with the event, or post-event data associated with the event based on the general event data associated with the event and the user data associated with the user, determining a current user location of the at least one user, generating at least one message based on the current user location, the at least one message including at least one of the following: pre-event data; current event data; post-event data; or any combination thereof; and communicating the at least one message to a user device of the user. A system and computer program product are also disclosed.

Abstract: Sum of bid quantities (across price bands) placed by generators in energy markets have been observed to be either constant OR varying over a few finite values. Several researches have used simulated data to investigate desired aspect. However, these approaches have not been accurate in prediction. Embodiments of the present disclosure identified two sets of generators which needed specialized methods for regression (i) generators whose total bid quantity (TBQ) was constant (ii) generators whose total bid quantity varied over a few finite values only. In first category, present disclosure used a softmax output based ANN regressor to capture constant total bid quantity nature of targets and a loss function while training to capture error most meaningfully. For second category, system predicts total bid quantity (TBQ) of a generator and then predicts to allocate TBQ predicted across the various price bands which is accomplished by the softmax regression for constant TBQs.
