The healthcare provider scanning devices are configured to enroll new patients into a medical records services and database platform by creating one or more enrolled patient physical tracking devices and scan one or more enrolled patient physical tracking devices. The system comprises one or more pharmacist scanning devices configured to scan the one or more enrolled patient physical tracking devices; scan information associated with a medication prescribed to an enrolled patient; and associate the enrolled patient with the medication via the medical records services and database platform.
Abstract: A system is provided for aggregating user generated electronic data associated with a user from a plurality of computing machines located separately without user intervention. Metadata associated with the user generated electronic data is stored in an electronic record repository database to perform natural language processing and metadata analysis of the user generated electronic data to identify user verified data and user unverified data. A data object including query statements and approval options is generated and presented on a remotely located display unit accessible by the user. An input against each of the plurality of query statements is received. The system updates the unverified data based on the received input. The user generated electronic data is then pushed into the electronic transactional system which may communicate electronic data messages among a plurality of computer stations.
Abstract: A method comprises receiving a consumer token; in response to the consumer token being associated with the consumer in a consumer profile database, transmitting a first set of questions to the consumer device. The method comprises receiving a session request from the consumer device and generating a session token uniquely identifying a time interval for receipt of consumer data from a physician. The method comprises receiving a physician token; in response to the physician token being associated with the physician token within the session token and a time of receipt being associated with the time interval within the session token, initiating a secure communication session with the physician device and transmitting a second set of questions to the physician device. Abstract: A system and method for transmitting medical data. In one embodiment, a computer system receives filter criteria from a user of a first computer. Furthermore, the computer system may receive schedule information defining a schedule for checking for medical data. Depending on the embodiment, either the computer system or a remote server periodically selects, based upon the received schedule, medical data satisfying the received user-specific rules. The selected medical data is then transmitted to the computer system.

Abstract: A patient management system includes a patient unit that obtains results data from a patient device and provides for two-way communication between the patient unit and a remote database. The patient unit can communicate with the remote database to obtain encounter instruction data for a given encounter as well as to send response data for the given encounter. A back office system can also access the database to retrieve the patient data for one or more patient users. The back office system can further add or modify encounter instruction data for use during a next encounter at the patient unit. The back office system can also set a dosage for the patient that can be stored in the remote database and retrieved by the patient unit as part of the given encounter. The back office system may also employ a rules engine that can be programmed according to an established protocol and can automatically generate encounter instructions and dosage information for one or more patient.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for verifying compliance with a dental appliance therapy for a human patient is described. At least one parameter of a dental appliance worn by the human patient is periodically measured and compliance with the dental appliance therapy is determined by performing a spectral analysis of the measured parameter.
Abstract: The present invention involves a system and method of providing decision support for assisting medical treatment decision-making. A patient agent software module processes information about a particular patient. A doctor agent software module processes information about a health status of a particular patient, beliefs relating to patient treatments, and the actual effects of treatment decisions. By filtering information over time from the patient agent into the doctor agent, a plurality of decision-outcome nodes are created and formed into a patient-specific outcome tree with the plurality of decision-outcome nodes. An optimal treatment is determined by evaluating the plurality of decision-outcome nodes with a cost per unit change function to output the optimal treatment.

Abstract: A peer system of subjects with health-related issues is formed based on an association of subjects and a particular type of electronic device or devices which provides information related to a specific health-related issue or issues obtained from particular subjects. By means of such associations, subjects can transmit to and receive messages from other subjects associated with the same type of electronic device. One way to associate subjects with health-related issues is through an association of a subject with a type or types of sensors. For example, each monitoring device may be associated with a subject, and the type or types of sensor or sensors may be associated with the subject and/or monitoring device. Devices, systems, methods and computer program products may be provided leveraging this association for various applications, e.g.
Abstract: A method for updating an electronic medical record of a patient comprises retrieving, from a medical information management system, a patient monitoring worksheet displaying medical information relating to the delivery of medical care to a first patient and presenting, on a display capable of receiving touch-responsive user input, the retrieved patient monitoring worksheet. The method further comprises determining, for each subsection of the patient monitoring worksheet, whether information tracked during that subsection is incomplete. The method further comprises permitting edit popups only for the ones of the subsections with incomplete information in a first mode of operation and permitting edit popups for any of the subsections in a second mode of operation.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provide for modifying the selection of modes of communication for communicating with patients based on a simulation of vendor communications. A communication simulation is configured with configuration parameters defining expected results of a plurality of communications with patients handled by a communication vendor system associated with a personalized care plan creation and monitoring (PCPCM) system. The plurality of communications are simulated to generate simulated results and a response of the PCPCM system to the simulated results of the plurality of communications is determined. The response of the PCPCM system is evaluated to determine if the PCPCM system responds correctly to the simulated results, and an operation of the PCPCM system is modified based on results of the evaluation.

Abstract: A facility for managing distribution of a drug is described. The facility generates an order for the drug on behalf of one or more purchasing hospitals, the order specifying each purchasing hospitals' identity and a quantity of the drug ordered on its behalf. The facility selects the specified identities of the purchasing hospitals and the specified quantities of the drug in a manner that takes advantage of opportunities that one or more distinguished hospitals among the purchasing hospitals have to order the drug at a discounted price. The facility reimburses each purchasing hospital for the drug ordered on its behalf at an undiscounted price. The facility causes the ordered quality of the drug to be physically distributed to one or more consuming hospitals, and causes each consuming hospital to be charged for the distributed quantity of the drug at the undiscounted price.
