Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus to facilitate the production and presentation of strokes gained golf statistics. Some systems include mobile devices for the collection of essential shot data necessary for producing strokes gained statistics during play. The device travels with a golfer, measures and records distance-to-hole automatically using GPS and/or laser and/or radio technology, in combination with one of various lie-type classifications (tee, fairway, rough, sand, green, recovery, penalty, hazards, etc.) before and after a golf shot as selected by the golfer using human judgement. The device transfers essential shot data to a remote database and receives and displays calculated strokes gained results.

  • Patent number: 9521827
Abstract: An electric fence insulator is formed as a flexible band of material with an opening along a lateral periphery. The band is flexed to position around the perimeter of a fence post along a length of the fence post as determined by the length of the insulator. The insulator provides electrical insulation between an electrically energized fence wire and a point of contact of the wire with a grounded fence post. The insulator includes a fastener at the opening to close to a secure position using a simple clipping motion after the insulating band is positioned on the fence post at a selected height. The insulator forms a minimal lever arm between the fence post and the energized wire. The insulator may be retrofitted to existing installations with fence wire already installed without a need to access the fence post from the top to the section requiring electrical insulation.

  • Patent number: 9358826
Abstract: A system for externally binding flat media by hand for presentation purposes without a need for creating a spine, hole-punching paper, permanent covers or insertion into pre-constructed sleeves. It employs a slim, external bar, placed in the margin area on the front side of a flat media stack and a rigid backing board on the rear side. The entire assembly is held together firmly by threaded bolts and adjoining screw posts that are adjusted depending upon the quantity of sheets included and their thicknesses. The stack is compressed and decompressed by tightening or loosening the threaded bolts whenever sheets are added or removed. The low-profile system firmly grips sheets with unlikely slippage, requires no heat or adhesives, and provides the ease of turning the pages or sheets as typical in a perfect-bound book. It accommodates common lengths of paper stock and fabric swatches, and multiple thicknesses within the same stack.
