Abstract: A unified experience environment supports mechanisms that collect and utilize contextual metadata to associate information in accordance with its relevance to a user's current context. An ambient data collector obtains contextual and activity information coincident with a user's creation, editing or consumption of data and associates it with such data as contextual metadata. A context generator that utilizes contextual metadata to identify relationships between data and enable the proactive presentation of data relevant to a user's current context. Proactive presentation includes a context panel that is alternatively displayable and hideable in an application-independent manner and a unified activity feed that comprises correlated data groupings identified by correlation engines, including a universal, cross-application correlation engine and individual, application-specific correlation engines that exchange information through data correlation interfaces.

Abstract: A social media platform and system provides a graphical user interface for creating social media posts and tagging one or more products. The platform and system further provides a graphical user interface for presenting social media posts which include the tags of products. In response to a user input via the graphical user interface, the platform and system can present product elements representative of the tagged products in a content stream.

Abstract: A system architecture and related methods for controlling and/or modifying the content presented by a web site on one or more web pages. The system and methods enable an administrator or manager to efficiently update, revise, or otherwise maintain the content presented to a viewer on a web page, where such content may be subject to change or variation based on data related to the operation of a business for which the web site or web page is presented. The architecture, coupled with the methods for content or user interface representation and manipulation, enable a website administrator, manager, or other party to more efficiently control the content presented to a viewer of the site or page, where the viewer may be a customer or employee of a business.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer storage media directed to an analytics tool for detecting real-time user or “visitor” events based on real-time data. More specifically, events are detected based on actions not taken by a user. In this regard, events can be defined and, thereafter, detected based on inactions of a user. In some cases, events are inferred or predicted based on a calculated likelihood of a user not performing an action. Upon determining an event based on an action not being performed by a user, an interested party may be notified thereof such that the interested party can influence, in real-time, visitor conversion.

Abstract: A mobile terminal and controlling method thereof are disclosed. The present disclosure includes a touchscreen configured to display a window of an application and a controller, when the window is shifted into a specific region of the touchscreen, reducing and transforming the window into an icon and controlling the touchscreen to display the icon within the specific region. Accordingly, after a window of an application has been displayed on a screen, when the window is shifted into a specific region within the screen, the screen is displayed in a manner of being reduced and transformed into an icon.

Abstract: A method for an assisted display for command line interfaces is described. In an embodiment, an input region and an output region of a command line interface are displayed. Commands are displayed within the input region as they are received. A history is maintained that stores the output of previous executions. At least a portion of the output maintained by the history is displayed within the output region. The output region is scrolled by adding one or more outputs from the history to the display of the output region and/or removing one or more outputs from the display of the output region. Wherein, scrolling the output region does not cause the display of the input region to become obscured. In another embodiment, an input assistance region is displayed that walks a user through selecting commands supported by the command line interface as well as options and arguments for those commands.

Abstract: To increase the likelihood of a user viewing content items previously identified for presentation but not viewed by the user, a social networking system accesses a view state associated with the user that identifies content items provided to the user and provided content items viewed by the user. Based on the view state, content items previously provided to the user but not viewed by the user are identified. Additional content items whose state has changed since presentation of the content items to the user are also identified. Content items previously presented to the user but not viewed with at least a threshold relevance to the user are ranked along with the additional content items. Based on the ranking, content items are selected for presentation to the user.

Abstract: In a general aspect, a computer-implemented method can include executing, on a computing device, a non-browser application; displaying, by the non-browser application on a display of the computing device, a link to web content; and receiving an indication that the link has been selected. Abstract: A system, apparatus, graphical user interface and methods are provided for conducting electronic voice communications with status notifications. A user of a first portable device executing a communication application selects a multi-function control that automatically initiates an audio recording, which is automatically sent toward another participant of an active communication session when the control is released. The same multi-function control may be used to transmit a textual message. A representation of the recording is displayed on the user's device, with an indicator that changes appearance when the other participant plays the recording. In addition, when one user initiates an audio recording that will be automatically sent to another user, the other user's device is advised of the initiation of recording and displays that status for the other user.

Abstract: Techniques are described for aggregating information from multiple software tools into a manager cockpit. The manager cockpit includes multiple views for presenting the aggregated information in various actionable tiles. When an actionable tile is selected, the manager cockpit presents actions that can be performed on the selected tile. In some embodiments, the manager cockpit can apply a rules engine to generate alerts and a coaching engine to generate recommended actions to remedy the alerts. The recommended actions can be presented as an action that can be performed on the selected tile.

Abstract: The invention provides a method and system for setting the user interface to best suit the display screen of an electronic device, for instance, a cellular phone or a tablet. The method comprises a software application for installation upon an electronic device. The software has a plurality of user-interface variants. A remote server is maintained, having a repository mapping a list of a plurality of user interface variants best suited to a plurality of predetermined electronic devices. The software reports the identity of the electronic device to the server, and queries the server for the user-interface variant best suited for the specific device. When an answer is returned, the user interface is set accordingly. In some embodiments, a user can manually select a preferred user interface variant. His choice is reported to a preference analysis module which communicates with the server, for use in regard to future queries.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems for processing multi-touch input in a multi-tasking terminal with a touch screen are described. In one method herein, an electronic apparatus displays a first application program on its touch screen while both the first application program and a second application program are being multitasked, detects a flicking of four or more fingers in the displayed first application program on the touch screen; and, in response to detecting of the flicking of four or more fingers, switches the touch screen from the display of the first application program to a display of the second application program.

Abstract: An upgrade interface configured for upgrading a virtual item is provided. The upgrade interface receives selection by the user that results in incrementing and/or de-incrementing the current item level. Display panels are provided with individual display panels corresponding to individual levels of the virtual item. The individual display panels may have an active state and an inactive state. In some implementations, only one of the display panels may be in the active state at a given time such that responsive to one of the display panels in the inactive state being selected the selected display panel enters the active state.
