Abstract: A method is provided to perform enhanced image encoding in a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment that includes a client device having a first graphical user interface (GUI) and a server device having a second GUI associated with the first GUI. One example method may include receiving, from the client device, user interface (UI) events based on which the first GUI is to be updated, and obtaining, by an agent on the server device, UI information relating to a UI element on the second GUI. The method may further include determining, by the agent on the server device, an encoding configuration for an encoder based at least in part on the UI information, encoding image data of the second GUI based on the encoding configuration, and sending encoded image data to the client device to update the first GUI on a screen of the client device.

Abstract: A covert application, including one or more modules can be provided to assist individuals in conducting covert cyber operations. Furthermore, the covert application can operate in a secure operating environment, which provides a reliable and protected computing environment from which a user can conduct cover cyber operations. The covert application can allow a user to create and utilize one or more personas. Personas created by the covert application can appear to originate from any part of the world, and personas can allow a user of the covert application to interact through various Internet services, such as email, instant messaging, online forums, and website browsing.

Abstract: A computer implemented method for managing a widget is disclosed. The widget can include a drop-down menu. The method can include opening the drop-down menu having a set of items corresponding with a set of data. The method can also include updating the set of items dynamically in the opened drop-down menu in response to a change in the set of data. The method can also include processing a selected item from the updated set of items in the opened drop-down menu.

Abstract: A mobile terminal and controlling method thereof are disclosed. The present disclosure includes a touchscreen configured to display a window of an application and a controller, when the window is shifted into a specific region of the touchscreen, reducing and transforming the window into an icon and controlling the touchscreen to display the icon within the specific region. Accordingly, after a window of an application has been displayed on a screen, when the window is shifted into a specific region within the screen, the screen is displayed in a manner of being reduced and transformed into an icon.

Abstract: A user at a geographical location may submit a search query and receive results responsive to the search query. The search results provided to the user may be based on the user's geographical location. The search results may also be based on one or more attributes of the user or an alter ego. The alter ego may be an individual user or another type of entity, such as a group or a business. A user at a geographical location submitting an alter-ego search query may see the results that would be presented to the alter ego if the alter ego were at the geographical location. Each user's interests may be selected through an interest-selection interface, automatically generated as the user interacts with search results, dynamically generated as a user follows or likes search results, or otherwise determined.

Abstract: A rich media notice board enables users to communicate with others in their own and related communities who use the rich media notice board or other rich media notice boards, such as those in related communities, as well as with others who use conventional interfaces via the Internet. The users of the rich media notice board can post notices including text, images, audio, and video to the rich media notice board. The notices may also include usage metaphors that may allow users to relate to the notices. A user interface of the rich media notice board may employ the usage metaphors to provide an interface that may be used by users who may not read or write with sufficient proficiency to otherwise use a computer. The users may access the rich media notice boards from computers, mobile phones, and kiosk systems.

Respective meeting summary data is determined based on the information linked to selected ones of the meeting objects. The determined meeting summary data is transmitted to a network node for display. A visualization of summaries of respective assemblies of copresent communicants in the virtual area is presented on a display.

Abstract: Methods, systems and computer-readable storage mediums encoded with computer programs executed by one or more processors for providing personalized mapping with photo-tours are disclosed. A mapping system provides a map of a geographic region that includes a plurality of selectable image locations within the region, with standardized images of the respective image location that accord with predefined parameters provided by the mapping system. An image location selection from the map is received and it is determined whether the selected image location is associated with one or more photo-tours of non-standardized images that do not according with the predefined parameters. A selection of a particular one of the photo-tours is received, and the set of non-standardized images corresponding to a selected photo-tour for the image location is provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for selecting content formats based on predicted user interest. One example method includes receiving a request to present additional content to a user in association with the user viewing a video content item during a session, identifying one or more candidate content formats, predicting a likelihood that the user will abandon the session for each candidate content format, selecting a format based at least in part on the predicting, determining when to present the additional content to the user, and presenting the additional content in accordance with the selected format.
