Abstract: An output method for receiving output data that is associated with acquired identification information from a server and outputting an image based on the output data from an image forming apparatus is provided. The output method includes: accepting posting of a message from a terminal to a messaging service; sending attachment data to the server when the message includes the attachment data; and issuing identification information that is associated with output data based on the attachment data when the attachment data is in a format that can be accepted for registration.
Abstract: An information processing apparatus comprising a memory; a non-volatile memory; and a processor coupled to the memory and the non-volatile memory, the processor configured to: store a rectification history for a result of character recognition processing in association with items and item values; compare, for the respective items, a newly input result of the character recognition processing with the item values stored in the non-volatile memory; select a set of the item values stored in the non-volatile memory based on a result of the comparison; and correct the newly input result of the character recognition processing by using the selected set of the item values.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an executing unit configured to, if there is a shortage of storage capacity for image information necessary to perform image formation, execute the image formation at a reduced image quality below a required image quality, and an informing unit configured to inform that image formation has been executed at a reduced image quality, and inform an effective measure to enable image formation that does not involve a reduction in image quality, the effective measure including at least one of making a setting change to storage capacity allocation and increasing storage capacity.
Abstract: By a first grouping pattern, a plurality of regions for which a filter operation is to be performed in an operation target image are grouped. Then, for each group obtained by the first grouping pattern, a first filter corresponding to the group is used to perform a filter operation on each region belonging to the group. By a second grouping pattern, a plurality of regions for which a filter operation is to be performed in an intermediate image obtained by the filter operation are grouped. In the first procedure, the controller displays a first preview screen containing the read image, and the image processing apparatus starts the particular processing when a particular-processing start instruction is accepted. In the second procedure, the controller displays a second preview screen containing the read image, and the image processing apparatus starts the particular processing without accepting the particular-processing start instruction.
Abstract: An image forming device includes a checking unit and a registering unit. When processing execution data to be executed with a preset setting is selected, the checking unit checks whether a processing result is what a user has intended if the processing execution data has not been created in the image forming device and if the preset setting has not yet been checked. The registering unit registers the processing execution data as checked data if the checking unit has checked that the processing result is what the user has intended.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a print engine to form a page image on a printing sheet, a sheet conveyance unit to convey the printing sheet to the print engine in a non-stop conveyance mode, a video board to supply image data of the page image to the print engine, and a controller board to execute predetermined image processing to generate the image data and transfer the image data to the video board. The video board transmits a horizontal synchronization signal to the controller board. The controller board transfers the image data to the video board line by line in synchronization with the horizontal synchronization signal. The video board adjusts a cycle of the horizontal synchronization signal in accordance with an image width of the page image to satisfy a print productivity condition set correspondingly to a size of the printing sheet.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a fixing unit, a reading unit, and a control unit. The image forming unit forms a visible image on a sheet. The fixing unit executes a fixing process of fixing the visible image on the sheet. The reading unit executes a reading process of reading an image. The control unit starts measurement of time until shift to a power saving mode, and shifts the operation mode to the power saving mode in which power consumption is suppressed when the measured time passes a predetermined set time. The control unit stops the measurement of the time during execution of printing, which is a process involving execution of the fixing process, and continues the measurement of the time during execution of the reading process without execution of the printing.

Abstract: Examples disclosed herein provide for the handling of a print job for a printer via a mobile device. The mobile device receives a notification from a computing device to indicate the print job is available for printing. Upon the mobile device joining a wireless network associated with the printer, the mobile device delivers the print job from the mobile device to the printer via the wireless network.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for operating textile printing machines, with a first textile printing machine and at least one second textile printing machine, which machines are provided in a first entity or a second entity, which are independent of each other, wherein each textile printing machine is provided with a data-processing module, which detects data about the state, set-up and/or utilization of the textile printing machine, wherein the textile printing machine transmits the detected data to a data center, independent from entities and/or location, and wherein the data center is configured to accept print jobs from third parties and, based on the transmitted data, to transmit at least one print job fitting the data to one of the at least two textile printing machines. Abstract: Provided is a thermal printer achieving high repeatability of one dot even in an image having a large change in a density and capable of printing a printing material having high sharpness. A thermal printer includes: an image data extension processing unit generating extended image data having pixels in which the number of pixels in a feed direction of a paper sheet is extended; a printing data correction processing unit correcting a density of at least one extended pixel based on a change in a density of the extended pixels in the extended image data in the feed direction or a change in a density of pixels in the image data before extended in the feed direction; and a printing unit printing the image on the paper sheet based on the extended image data in which the density of the at least one extended pixel is corrected.
Abstract: An apparatus connected to a network executes search processing of searching for a device connected to the network, displays a selection screen including identification information corresponding to the device connected to the network based on a search result of the search processing, and designates a device based on operation of a user using the selection screen. Abstract: A test chart includes an indication image along a primary scanning direction on a first face, the indication image having a straight-line shape; a folding back position image along a secondary scanning direction on a second face; and a first scale image that has a scale along the secondary scanning direction on the second face. Further, when the second face is folded back to the first face at the folding back position image, the indication image indicates a value on the scale of the first scale image such that the value corresponds to a position error in the secondary scanning direction between images on the first and second faces.
Abstract: A method of encoding print data performed by a host device is described in which a print request for a compound document is received; objects included in the compound document is classified into predetermined groups based on object attribute information; each of the predetermined groups is compressed according to a preset compression method; and the compressed groups is merged and the merged groups is transmitted to an image forming apparatus.
