  • Patent number: 11316972
Abstract: A method of management of a communication device in an aircraft may include transitioning the communication device from a normal mode to a disabled mode based on a calculated device sleep time based on data associated with transportation information of the device. One of these modes may be a state of the device in which a transceiver of the device is deactivated and the other mode may be a state of the device in which the transceiver is activated. Therefore, the device sleep time determines when the wireless device's transceiver may not be activated.

  • Patent number: 11297645
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may perform a random access channel (RACH) procedure with a base station. The UE may receive a message configuring a RACH preamble occasion and an uplink data occasion. The message may be a radio resource control (RRC) message or a system information (SI) message. In some cases, the UE may determine if the RACH preamble occasion, the uplink data occasion, or both are restricted for cancellation based on the message. The UE may determine when to monitor a downlink control channel for dynamic scheduling based on determining which occasions are restricted for cancellation and may transmit a RACH message based on monitoring—or not monitoring—the downlink control channel for dynamic scheduling preempting a RACH occasion. In some other cases, a base station may schedule transmissions to not overlap with configured RACH occasions.

  • Patent number: 11284434
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some cases, inter-cell interference may occur for one or more random access channel (RACH) transmissions. To mitigate the inter-cell interference, one or more based stations may use inter-cell coordination to exchange configuration information associated with RACH procedures. Accordingly, each base station may select cell-specific RACH configurations to mitigate the inter-cell interference based on the exchanged configuration information and transmit the cell-specific RACH configurations to user equipments (UEs) served by each base station. In some cases, each base station and the corresponding UEs may use the cell-specific RACH configurations for a two-step RACH procedure that includes a first RACH message transmitted from a UE to the base station and a second RACH message transmitted from the base station to the UE.
