Abstract: A garment includes a waistband having a first layer and a second layer. The first layer includes a concealed surface and an exposed surface. The exposed surface of the first layer configured to be in contact with a skin of a wearer. The second layer includes a concealed surface and an outer portion. The second layer secured to the first layer at an upper and a lower end to form the waistband. The garment further includes a first layer of polymer disposed on the concealed surface of the first layer and a second layer of polymer material disposed on the concealed surface of the second layer such that the first layer releasably engages the second layer.

Abstract: A device for adjusting the fit of a garment may include a monorail track with a plurality of rail teeth spaced along a length thereof; a rail carriage slidably engaged with the monorail track; and a button operatively attached to the rail carriage, wherein at least one of the rail carriage and the button includes a locking device to removably engage with the plurality of track teeth. The locking device may be a trigger post with a button tooth, an engagement pin, a pinch clamp, a leaf spring, or the like. Size adjustment of a garment may be accomplished by sliding the button to a desired position of the monorail track and locking the button into place with the locking device.

Abstract: A face mask has an outer layer made of a polyester-cotton blend material, an inner layer that is stitched or sewn to the outer layer in a manner which defines a pocket space between the inner and outer layers, and having a slit provided along an edge of the inner layer providing access to the pocket space. A replaceable filter piece can be inserted into, or removed from, the pocket space via the slit. The face mask can be provided with straps that are adjustable.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for exercising a muscle in a given agonist and antagonist muscle pair of a user's human body by providing an elongated elastic band having a first length when no external forces are applied thereto, elongating the elastic band to a second length that is greater than the first length, securing the elastic band to a garment in a manner whereby when the elastic band is installed on the garment an axial force is imposed on the body of the user and the elastic band is disposed in aligned proximate relationship with at least one of the muscles in a given pair of muscles comprising an agonist muscle and antagonist muscle pair.

Abstract: A helmet accessory mounting system includes a mounting device configured to couple to an outer surface of a side of a helmet. The mounting device includes a plurality of mounting locations configured to removeably couple to at least one accessory. A plurality of the plurality of mounting locations each includes an electrical node. A power supply is coupled to the mounting device. An electrical supply line electrically couples the power supply to each of the electrical nodes and the electrical supply line is contained at least partially within the mounting device.

Abstract: A glove has a segment secured to an inside surface of one or more finger and/or a thumb. The segment is fully contained within the distal most portions of the one or more finger and/or thumb and does not overlap with any knuckle of the user's finger. The segment doubles the layer of material of the glove in the pad region of the fingertip to improve wear length or wear resistance of the glove.

Abstract: A body armor system includes a pouch and an armor plate and hydration bladder disposed within the pouch. The shape of the hydration bladder corresponds to the shape of the armor plate and is dimensioned such that the hydration bladder is hidden behind the armor plate during use. The pouch includes a front pouch in which the armor plate is disposed and a rear pouch in which the hydration bladder is disposed. The hydration bladder can be filled with fluid, which is configured to absorb and disperse ballistic energy transferred from the armor plate when struck.

Abstract: A head and eye protection apparatus for use in conjunction with a helmet that envelops a wearer's head, the helmet having a front opening that enables the wearer to see. The helmet has upper and side edges that surround the front opening. A goggle provides a transparent viewing lens supported by a peripheral frame. The frame includes an upper frame section, left and right side frame sections and a lower frame section. The goggle frame is suspended via a dual suspension system wherein a first apparatus seats the goggle frame to the helmet, and a second apparatus seats the goggle frame to the user's face.

Abstract: Goggles and eyewear with various features may be described herein. Such goggles and eyewear may include lenses that allow for the installation of larger roll-off films, adjustable nose sections to increase comfort of a wearer, sweat management systems that include a permeable gasket and a gutter, lens attachment systems, and co-molded frames of multiple different materials.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to a helmet. The helmet preferably includes a shell, a suspension, and a connector. The suspension preferably includes a crown strap. The connector preferably couples to the shell and the crown strap. The connector preferably has a shock absorber operatively disposed between the shell and the crown strap to absorb at least a portion of a force of impact delivered to the shell.

Abstract: A face shield for use with protective headgear can be shipped flat and easily assembled from a kit of parts without the use of tools or adhesives. The face shield protects against disease, aerosols and splatter that may contain pathogens; may include a curved lower perimeter to facilitate head movements, and can be taken on and off easily.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a ballistic helmet that includes a helmet shell and a harness connected to the helmet shell. The helmet shell includes a front portion and a rear portion. The harness includes a nape pad, a tensioner disposed on the nape pad, more than one securement strap, and a tension cable. The more than one securement strap is connected to the nape pad and is configured to fasten to the rear portion of the helmet shell. The tension cable is selectively adjustable by the tensioner and is configured to fasten to the front portion of the helmet shell.

Abstract: A chest pad that significantly reduces the occurrence of commotio cordis among athletes is disclosed. The chest pad may be utilized as a stand-alone chest protector intended to provide coverage primarily for the upper chest wall and the cardiac area. The chest pad may also be implanted into or utilized in traditional chest protectors that provide full coverage of the user's torso. The chest pad provides additional protection to the heart of the wearer such that impact in the heart area with a projectile is absorbed by the chest pad.

Abstract: A safety garment system including a garment having an interior side, an exterior side, a harness, a first handle, and a second handle. The harness is configured on the interior side of the garment. The first handle and the second handle are configured on the exterior side and are positioned on opposing sides at a shoulder portion of the garment. The garment can be used to safely drag a wearer to safety in an emergency using the harness, the first handle, and the second handle.

Abstract: A skin protecting garment includes a back panel, a lower front panel coupled to the back panel, and an upper front panel coupled to the back panel. An upward facing opening is formed by the back panel and the upper front panel. The upward facing opening is dimensioned, shaped and positioned to expose a top of a user's head. A forward facing slit is between the lower front panel and the upper front panel. The forward facing slit is dimensioned, shaped and positioned to expose the user's eyes. The back panel, the lower front panel and the upper front panel are each formed of a material configured to block ultraviolet (UV) light.

Abstract: Protective goggles for human use including a pair of protective goggles for human use with at least one lens, an upper edge that is positioned against the user's forehead and a lower edge that is positioned against the user's cheek. Each of the user's eyes are covered by a separate section of lens and each of these sections extends along at least one line of curvature. It is intended that each lens section has a first and a second line of curvature that, at least in substantial part, are positioned transversely to one another, and along which the individual sections of lens extend; furthermore, that the lines of curvature of one lens section are inclined towards the lines of curvature of the other lens section in terms of their positioning.

Abstract: A garment system is disclosed. The garment system includes an upper garment, a lower garment, and a strap for attaching the upper garment to the lower garment. The upper garment includes a plurality of apertures disposed around a waist region. The lower garment includes a first fastener, a second fastener, and a third fastener. The strap includes a fourth fastener, a fifth fastener, a first aperture, and a second aperture. The strap attaches to the upper garment through the fifth fastener. The strap attaches to the lower garment through the second fastener, the third fastener, the fourth fastener, the fifth fastener, the first aperture, and the second aperture. Attachment of the strap to the upper garment and the lower garment interconnects the upper garment and the lower garment to each other, thereby forming a secure connection between the garments that maintains the upper garment in a tucked in position.

Abstract: A protective padding section includes an upper layer, an opposing lower layer and a repeating array of cushioning regions disposed between, and continuously bonded to, the upper layer and the lower layer. Each cushioning region has a same first cushion thickness. A repeating array of apertures is disposed between the cushioning regions and each aperture extends through the padding section. The padding section has a first thickness and a first width and upon application of a force, the padding section expands in width from the first width to a second width greater than the first width and when the application of force is removed, the width of the padding section contracts to the first width.

Abstract: A helmet assembly may include a helmet and an integrated chinbar. The chinbar may include an attachment portion and the helmet may include a docking frame. Coupling together of the attachment portion to the docking frame may couple the chinbar to the helmet. The attachment portion may then be secured to docking frame to secure the chinbar to the helmet. In certain embodiments, the attachment portion may be coupled to the docking frame of an interior side of the liner. Thus, the attachment portion may accordingly be disposed on the side of the liner closer to a wearer's face.
