Abstract: The present disclosure selects third party content based on feedback. A selector identifies several content items including first and second content items (or more) responsive to a request. A machine learning engine determines a first feature of the first content item, a second feature of the second content item, and a third feature of the web page or a device associated with the request. The machine learning engine determines, responsive to the first feature and the third feature, a first score for the first content item based on a machine learning model generated using historical signals received from devices via a metadata channel formed from an electronic feedback interface. The machine learning engine determines a second score for the second content item responsive to the second feature and the third feature. A bidding module determines a price for the first content item based on the first and second scores.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing an information-conveying layout based on tangential categories of products for sale in a retail location are applicable to any product for which there are multiple complex criteria for determining an appropriate selection. By providing customers with an intuitive and systematic approach to selecting a desired product, such as wine, the present disclosure provides customers the rare satisfaction of quickly making a precise and intelligent decision based on informed choice, rather than choosing only based on a direct category or relying on the suggestions of a salesperson.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for the aggregation, analysis, display and monetization of pricing data for commodities in general, and which may be particularly useful applied to vehicles are disclosed. Specifically, in certain embodiments, historical transaction data associated with a particular vehicle configuration may be obtained and processed to determine pricing data associated with the vehicle configuration. The historical transaction data or determined pricing data may then be presented in an intuitive manner.

Abstract: Automated kiosks are often provided in retail settings to provide a convenient and cost-effective means to assist customers of the retail setting and as an alternative or supplement to human agents. Kiosks may work well for certain customers and actions, however, the customer and/or kiosk may fail to effectively interact with each other and leave the customer dissatisfied with the interaction. By determining a meta-meaning associated with a customer's actions with a kiosk, the kiosk may be able to determine whether an agent should be summoned to assist the customer. For example, a customer may be using the kiosk for an unusually long time. In response, an available agent may be notified and approach the customer to offer their assistance; without the customer explicitly requesting such assistance. As a benefit, the retail setting may appear more in-touch with the needs of the customer.

Abstract: Improved techniques and systems for delivery and acquisition of digital assets are disclosed. The techniques and systems are especially suitable and useful for delivering digital assets (e.g., media assets) that are available for acquisition and electronic delivery from online stores to electronic devices. In accordance with one aspect, when a digital asset is acquired form an online store via an electronic device associated with a user, the digital asset can be arranged for delivery to a number of other of electronic devices also associated with the user. It will be appreciated that the digital asset can be delivered and acquired without requiring explicit user input or instruction in accordance with another aspect. Other aspects of the techniques and systems include customization of configuration and user interfaces that are provided to facilitate acquisition of digital assets in a more efficient manner.

Abstract: An electronic invoicing system performs an integrated method of processing both purchase order based electronic invoices and electronic invoices not associated with a purchase order or transaction receipt. A portal is provided by the system. The portal has respective views for a supplier submitting non-PO based type electronic invoices not associated with a purchase order or transaction receipt, and a user of an enterprise submitting and/or reviewing non-PO based type electronic invoices not associated with a purchase order or transaction receipt. An administrator of the enterprise configures electronic invoice types and processing parameters specific to said electronic invoice types not associated with a purchase order or transaction receipt. A submitted non-PO based type electronic invoice of a configured electronic invoice type is processed in accordance with the processing parameters configured by the administrator for that electronic invoice type.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, computer-implemented methods, and tangible computer-readable media for placing an order for a user. The method includes receiving a search from a user, identifying a product category based on the search, presenting to the user a general ordering screen based on the identified product category, selecting and activating a speech recognition grammar tuned for the identified product category, recognizing a first received user utterance with the activated tuned grammar to identify a vendor who offers items in the identified product category, recognizing a second received user utterance with the activated tuned grammar to identify a specific item from the identified vendor, and placing an order for the specific item with the identified vendor for the user. In one aspect, the method further offers to sell the user additional items ancillary to the specific item.

Abstract: An electronic invoicing system includes an integrated method of searching both purchase order based electronic invoices and electronic invoices not associated with a purchase order or transaction receipt. A portal is provided. The portal has respective views for a supplier submitting purchase order based electronic invoices and electronic invoices not associated with a purchase order or transaction receipt, and a user of an enterprise submitting and/or reviewing electronic invoices. The shopping cart may be shared by one or more users of the electronic commerce application. In this respect, the shopping cart represents the aggregate purchase of items on behalf of multiple users of the electronic commerce application. Each user with access to the shopping cart may add to or remove items from the shopping cart or purchase some or all of the items within the shopping cart. Further, each user may share the shopping cart with other users of the electronic commerce application. Discounts or other promotional or marketing credits or benefits may also be added to and shared by all users with access to the shopping cart.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for providing an app store service which implements 3rd party-based app stores by using a user's client and links the implemented app stores so as to be distributed by the 3rd party, and to a system for the same. The app store service system of the present invention includes: a plurality of app stores established for distribution; a mall integration server to manage the establishment and integrated operation of the plurality of app stores, and integrally analyze metadata collected from the plurality of app stores in order to provide app integration search and information on the basis of the plurality of app stores; and a client to perform integrated search and browsing for apps on the basis of the mall integration server and the app stores.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing gesture functionality are provided. In example embodiments, a gesture input is received. The gesture input represents an action to be performed within a networked environment. A set of known gesture inputs stored in a database is accessed. A determination is made that the received gestured input corresponds to a known gesture input of the set of known gesture inputs. A style difference between the known gesture input and the received gesture input is identified. The set of known gesture inputs is modified to include the style difference, whereby the modifying causes an update to the database.

Abstract: A system, method, and content provider server for creating a catalog of electronic content, wherein a customer accesses the catalog to browse and purchase electronic content, which is downloaded over a network to a customer premises where the electronic content is presented on a rendering device. Different pieces of the electronic content have different bandwidth requirements and impose different requirements for the rendering device. The server determines whether customer premises capabilities, including those of the rendering device, meet the requirements of each piece of electronic content, and populates the catalog only with pieces of electronic content for which the customer premises capabilities meet the requirements of the electronic content. Alternatively, the server may include all of the electronic content in the catalog while marking those pieces for which the customer premises capabilities do not meet the requirements of the electronic content.

Data encoding a listing of products, including the first and second products, is sent to the client device.

In response, a listing user interface is presented that includes fields for input of parameters used to generate a listing for the item in the image. Parameters and an indication to list the item are received and are shared with the publication system to cause the publication system to create the listing for the item.
