Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for assigning a global parameter to one or more queries present in a single graphical user interface (GUI) displayed in a client browser. The client browser causes the display of a first user interface field in a first area of the GUI, where the first user interface field can be used to enter or edit a first query. The client browser further causes the display of a second user interface field in a second area of the GUI, where the second user interface field can be used to enter or edit a second query. The client browser also receives a selection of a global parameter, applies the global parameter to the first and second queries, receives a modification to the global parameter for the second query, and causes execution of the first query using the global parameter and of the second query using the modification.

Abstract: Autotagging a template of a reporting workbook is provided. The template of the reporting workbook is received. The template is in a first format type. User specified selection of portions of the template are received. The portions are associated with at least two dimensions of the reporting workbook. A user specified type is received for a tag. A modification of the template is created by automatically generating a tag in a predetermined field of each of the portions based on the user specified type. A version of the reporting workbook is generated based on the modification of the template, wherein the version is in a second format type.

Abstract: An embodiment of the disclosure provides a comment content display method, apparatus and device, and storage medium, the method including: when any parent comment of a content object includes at least one child comment, display a comment hiding button at a preset position in a comment region of the parent comment; and filter out the parent comment and child comments of the parent comment from all the comments that have been currently loaded and displayed in response to a trigger operation of a user for the comment hiding button, and updating a current display interface to display other comment contents except the filtered out parent comment and child comments of the parent comment.

Abstract: A visual form designer is disclosed. A target user interface is configured to display a particular form. A design user interface is used to design the target user interface. The design user interface includes at least a widget-selection section and a form-design section. The design user interface also includes various layout options for displaying a form template in the form-design section. An interface widget may be dragged from the widget-selection section to a particular location in the form template in the form-design section. The design user interface displays an instance of the interface widget at the particular location in the form template. A different layout may be selected. The design user interface displays the instance of the interface widget at a different location in the form template in the different layout. Hence, instances of interface widgets in the form template are rearranged based on a selected layout option.

Abstract: An electronic device includes instructions for receiving a first communication; in response to receiving the first communication, generating a first notification for the first communication received at the device, the first notification including content of the first communication; receiving a second communication at the device; and in response to receiving the second communication: determining whether the second communication and the first communication are received from the same sender. The instructions include, in accordance with a determination that the second communication and the first communication are from the same sender, updating the first notification such that the updated first notification concurrently includes the content of the first communication and the second communication; and in accordance with a determination that the second communication and the first communication are not from the same sender, generating a second notification, for concurrent display with the first notification.

Abstract: A whiteboard template can include multiple regions that are associated with different data sources. Each region can be associated with a different data source and can present objects based upon logical representations stored in an associated data source. Logical representations of objects in a region can include links to other objects in other regions associated with other data sources. When an object is moved between regions, transformations can be applied to the logical representation associated with the object. If the object is linked to other objects, the transformation can be propagated to the logical representations of the linked objects. In this manner, a single movement of an object between regions in a template can result in the updating of multiple objects and associated data sources, the updating of the visual properties of objects in multiple regions, and updating the visual properties of the regions themselves.

Abstract: Systems for web page or web application instrumentation. Embodiments commence upon identification of a computer-readable user interface description comprising at least some markup language conforming to a respective document object model that is codified in a computer-readable language. An injector process modifies the user interface description by inserting markup text and code into the user interface description, where the inserted code includes instrumentation code to invoke dynamic generation of instrumentation locator IDs using the hierarchical elements found in the document object model. The modified computer-readable interface description is transmitted to a user device. Log messages are emitted upon user actions taken while using the user device. The log messages comprise the instrumentation locator IDs that are formed using hierarchical elements found in the document object model.

Abstract: A digital image display device for displaying a sequence of digital media assets, the digital media assets including both individual digital still images and groups of related digital still images, comprising a display screen; a processor; and a processor-accessible program memory. The processor-accessible program memory stores executable instructions for causing the processor to execute the steps of: designating a sequence of digital media assets; and sequentially displaying each digital media asset in the sequence of digital media assets on the display screen, wherein if a displayed digital media asset is an individual digital still image it is displayed for a specified display time duration, and if a displayed digital media asset is a group of related digital still images the display time duration is subdivided and each of the digital still images in the group of related digital still images is displayed for a corresponding display time duration fraction.

Abstract: A press and hold function for conducting online surveys with a respondent in order to obtain genuine responses to the online surveys is presented herein. A user interface associated with an online survey is presented to the respondent on a screen of a computing device. The online survey can include a set of questions. Each question of the online survey can include a set of response elements. Each of these response elements can be associated with one or more response duration. In order to select a response to a question, the respondent can press a response button that is associated with one or more response elements to that question. The respondent then holds the response button for the response duration associated with the response element. After the response duration is complete, the response associated with the response element is deemed to be the response of the respondent.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, system and non-transitory computer-readable record medium for a group call using whisper are provided. The group call method includes participating in a group call session with a plurality of participants; designating at least one participant among the plurality of participants as a whisper target based on a touch gesture during the group call session; generating a whisper packet configured to control a server to transfer, only to the whisper target, at least one of video and audio that are input through an input device while the whisper group is designated; and transmitting the whisper packet to the server through the group call session.

Abstract: In accordance with one embodiment, the present invention provides the ability to embed and edit rich content into a browser document. Embedded objects are not backed by installed desktop applications. Instead, in one embodiment, the embedded objects are Asynchronous Javascript and XML (AJAX) components that adhere to a set of design patterns, which are embedded within editable HTML documents. For example, a user composing an email message can embed a spreadsheet into the email in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention. The spreadsheet is implemented, in one embodiment, as an AJAX component adhering to the Ajax Linking and Embedding (ALE) design pattern. Since it is an ALE component, the embedded object is fetched across the network so that it may be instantiated and used regardless of the user's location. The user can edit, manipulate, and save the embedded object while remaining in the context of the container document.

Abstract: Various implementations for efficiently manipulating surfaces in a multi-dimensional space using energy agents are described. A context including one or more surfaces is rendered for display in the multi-dimensional space. One or more events manipulating the one or more surfaces of the context are detected. One or more energy agents are computed for the one or more surfaces of the context based on the one or more events. A visual effect manipulating the one or more surfaces of the context is applied based on the one or more energy agents.

Abstract: A product may be associated with a linked document, a link to which is included in a linking document. Associating the linked document with the product may include accessing document linkage data, identifying a relevant linkage record from the linkage data, using a linking document identifier determined from the relevant linkage record to access linking document information in respect of the linking document, processing the linking document information to identify a first product to which the first linking document relates, and associating the first product with the linked document.

Abstract: One aspect of the present disclosure concerns a management apparatus configured to execute a device management software for realizing a plurality of functions for performing processing on a network device. The management apparatus additionally manages information about an extension function in a predetermined storage area to add an operation portion for calling processing of the extension function to an easy operation screen after the extension function is added to the device management software.

Abstract: A keyboard is described that determines, using a first decoder and based on a selection of keys of a graphical keyboard, text. Responsive to determining that a characteristic of the text satisfies a threshold, a model of the keyboard identifies the target language of the text, and determines whether the target language is different than a language associated with the first decoder. If the target language of the text is not different than the language associated with the first decoder, the keyboard outputs, for display, an indication of first candidate words determined by the first decoder from the text. If the target language of the text is different: the keyboard enables a second decoder, where a language associated with the second decoder matches the target language of the text, and outputs, for display, an indication of second candidate words determined by the second decoder from the text.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to using cognitive automation for customized interface generation. A computing platform may receive user interaction information. Based on the user interaction information, the computing platform may identify a user intent. Using a cognitive automation model, the computing platform may identify a final graphical user interface corresponding to the user intent, where the final graphical user interface may be a last graphical user interface, of a sequence of graphical user interfaces, that was displayed at a user device to satisfy the user intent. The computing platform may send commands directing an enterprise source host system to cause display of the final graphical user interface without causing display of preceding graphical user interfaces of the sequence of graphical user interfaces. The computing platform may receive a feedback message indicating a level of satisfaction with the final graphical user interface and may update the cognitive automation model accordingly.

Abstract: Managing document annotations in a publish/subscribe system is described. A publishing system creates annotations of a document that include references to where the annotations are to be displayed; stores the annotations separately from the document; names an annotation set using tags; sets roles and permissions for use of the annotation set, including access permissions based on a time and/or location constraint of a subscribing user; and publishes the annotation set to a publish/subscribe broker for access by the subscribing users. A subscribing system subscribes a user to annotations of a document, wherein each annotation is separate from the document and includes reference to where the annotations are to be displayed. The subscribing system also defines a role of the subscribing user, wherein use permissions of the annotations by the subscribing user are controlled based on the role, including time and/or location constraints of the subscribing user.

Abstract: Collaborating on documents by e-mail may be streamlined into a unified process. In one example, a user creates a document in an online document service, and sends the document to collaborators by mailing a link to the document. The document may have permissions set so that the creator of the document, and any user on the e-mail distribution list, can read and edit the document. When a user receives the e-mail, that user may open and edit the document. Upon closing the editing application, the user may be presented with an appropriate interface to create a reply e-mail.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for generating personalized smart responses. A messaging system receives a message transmitted as part of a communication session between a first user and a second user and determines a set of candidate responses for replying to the message. The messaging system filters the set of candidate responses based on a personalized vocabulary for the first user, yielding a set of personalized candidate responses. The personalized vocabulary for the first user is determined based on member profile data associated with the first user. The messaging system determines, based on a set of personalized candidate selection rules, a subset of the candidate responses, yielding a set of recommended responses to the message, and causes the set of recommended responses to be presented on the second client device.

Abstract: Example configurations herein include a media player that initiates playback of content (e.g., play back of a movie in a web browser). Based on input from a respective user, the media player receives selections of playback commands (e.g., play, pause, stop, rewind, fast forward, etc.) applied to the content being played back by the media player. Based on the selections, the media player creates a log report. The log report records the selections of the playback commands applied to the content and indicates, for example, a corresponding time when the playback commands were applied. According to one configuration, the media player initiates distribution of the log report to notify a publisher associated with the content which playback commands were selected during playback of the content on the media player.
