    Abstract: In a safety-belt system comprising a winding and locking mechanism, a clamping device is provided which carries out a clamping of the safety-belt outside the reel winding, wherein this clamping effect is caused by a lifting motion of the winding and locking mechanism or of a part thereof and is fastened by suitable means so that the load-bearing clamping organ comes to engage with its entire clamping surface on the belt and the approach of the clamping surface to the belt is synchronized. According to the invention clamping readiness of the clamping organ is begun on every vehicle deceleration of more than 0.45 g and on every belt withdrawal acceleration of more than 1.5 g. The belt winder contains, apart from the driving spring and the winding shaft, only the sensor and control mechanism, and does not require any separate locking elements in order to cause preblocking.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a door and closure assembly ideally adapted for use as an industrial air filter door with handle and dog actuation. The assembly comprises a door frame and a door having an outside surface and an inside surface. The door is hingedly attached to the frame at a side edge of the door. A plurality of closure means for securing the door to the frame are provided. The closure means comprises a handle located at the outside surface of the door; a dog located on the inside surface of the door; a rotatable shaft penetrating through said door and connecting said handle and said dog; door frame retention means cooperative with the dog for securing the door to the frame; and stop means disposed and cooperating with said retention means so that the handle and dog rotate in one direction only to secure the door and only in the opposite direction to unsecure the door. All of the handles are disposed in substantially the same position when the door is secure or unsecure.

    Abstract: This invention is related to a safety barrier positionable in a doorway or passageway to prevent the passage of small children or animals. The barrier comprises a frame assembly having a substantially rectangular structure with upper (4, 5, 16) and lower (1) frame elements, each extending from one side of the passageway to the other. The frame assembly is provided with independently adjustable clamping means (12, 13, 14, 15) at each corner thereof for securing within the passageway. At least a portion of the frame assembly is in the form of a gate which is openable to allow access through the barrier. The gate is provided with further clamping means (22) to lock the openable portion in its closed condition, said further clamping means acting to increase the overall stability of the barrier within the passageway.

    Abstract: A shoe is mounted between a frame and a sash of a window. The shoe has braking means that begin to engage almost immediately as the sash is rotated relative to the frame to prevent the sash from sliding relative to the frame. The shoe has a secondary means to assist in activating the braking means as the sash is rotated relative to the frame. When the sash is aligned with the frame, the braking means is automatically released and the sash and shoe can slide relative to the frame. The shoe and a projection that can engage with an indentation in the sash. The shoe has second engagement means that can engage with fourth engagement means on the sash to allow the sash to pivot relative to the shoe.

The inflatable seal tube is attached to a top of the inner core and extends down along the spaced sides and across the bottom thereof so that the seal tube is located in the narrow space defined between the inner core and the doorway.

The security door includes a hinge on the first door jamb for supporting the door adjacent one vertical edge of the door, constituting its inner edge. The hinge enables the door to swing on a generally vertical axis between an open position wherein the door is swung out of the doorway and a closed position wherein the door closes the doorway and the opposite vertical edge of the door, constituting its outer edge, is spaced inwardly from the recess in the second door jamb.

A malleable material is utilized to form a seat for the spring which biases the rod axially of the tubular member and the malleable material is positively positioned in place by applying axial compression to the material so that it radially expands into a tight frictional relationship with the internal surface of the tubular member. A pull cable release system is also provided which allows the bar to be quickly and easily removed from a location in the interior of the building structure.
