  • Patent number: 5667822
Abstract: A shaping mold for the production of ultra-thin shaped rubber articles, has a main body which is dipped into a latex liquid so as to make the latex adhered to the surface of the main body. The adhered latex is heat-dried to form an ultra-thin shaped rubber article over the surface. The mold is such that at least the surface of its main body is made of an amorphous carbon and that its bottom part is fitted with electrifying electrodes and has therebetween a heating area to be heated by resistance heating due to its electrification. The same shaping mold from its dipping step through the inspecting step of inspecting the shaped article as adhered to the surface of the mold. In the heat-drying step of the method, the shaped article as adhered to the surface of the shaping mold is heated and dried from the inside of the mold with preventing as much as possible formation of pin holes in the shaped article.

  • Patent number: 5667731
Abstract: A portable fan device for use with a spray misting bottle which is capable of being mounted atop a spray applicating head portion of the misting bottle so that a fan blade unit of the fan device is positioned forwardly and in communication with an atomized spray nozzle of the spray head and cools and atomizes the mist spray issued by the nozzle. Releasable securing means such as an attachment bracket or contoured gripping tabs extending from the fan underside are employed for securing the fan body in a generally horizontal fashion atop the spray head. A stand member is held within a recessed cavity in the fan underside and can be rotated downwardly to support the fan device in an upright position for use as a portable fan once the fan body has been detached from atop the spray head. In a further embodiment, a gripping tab which forms part of the releasable securing means can provide the dual function of gripping part of the spray head and supporting the fan body in an upright position.

  • Patent number: 5665403
Abstract: The double tapered die mount defines a channel to support the die shoulder. No contact occurs between the die and die housing. The die shoulder is machined to be in generally congruent relationship with the channel shape of the die mount of the invention. In the prior art, the die shoulder is perpendicular to both the inner radial surface and the outer radial surface of the die mount. In the preferred embodiment, the die shoulder is tapered from the inner radial surface toward the die edge to define an inner die taper. The die shoulder also tapers from the outer radial surface to the die edge to define an outer die taper. The side walls of the channel defined by the die mount of the invention taper inwardly to be congruent with tapered surfaces of the die shoulder. The inner channel wall, i.e., the channel wall closer to the axis of rotation of the die, contacts the inner die taper. The outer channel wall, i.e., the channel wall farther from the axis of rotation of the die, contacts the outer die taper.

  • Patent number: 5650181
Abstract: A meshed plastic filter of a narrow-pitch net including a net and a frame in a unitary body is produced in either a square or a circular overall shape, and has diverse applications, such as a filter or sieve for gasoline or oil, a dust collector filter and other various filtration. A precision die has developed for producing such a meshed fabric plastic filter. The precision die has grooves called dam/discharge rib grooves radiating from the die center for guiding and pressuring the injected material and the vertical and horizontal rib grooves existing in horizontal and vertical directions for forming the net, so that gas retention inside the die is prevented and the material sneaks uniformly into the vertical and horizontal rib grooves and a frame groove through the dam/discharge rib grooves.

  • Patent number: 5648104
Abstract: An extrusion die for the extrusion of continuous hollow sections of plastic materials reinforced with fibers or molecules. Both the outer nozzle and inner mandrel are rotatable and have channels within them to allow the extrudate to flow through either the body of the nozzle or of the mandrel into the space between them to impart a radial component to the fibers. Likewise, a helical channel formed in either the nozzle or mandrel imparts a tangential component to the fibers. The flow may also be straight through the die which gives the fibers an axial component.
